Very close to all the great stuff available at this part of Bruce peninsula. We share our backyard with our guests, we are very close to everything that Bruce county has to offer, port Elgin, Southampton, golf courses, different accesses to saugeen river where u can go fishing canoeing, tubing etc., supermarkets, native reserve, sauble beach and dozens of other ones…all at max 15 minutes distance… in the property you will find everything u need for a peaceful stay, hard to describe everything you will find but u can read our reviews, some of them have beautiful descriptions of what is here for you, you must love animals, since we have our pets all around, u are also super welcome to bring yours. One of the high points of here is the interaction u will have with the pets, they are all super friendly and will play with u every time they see u, they believe u r here for them, between, dogs, cats, birds, rabbits etc they will be part of your stay, this is theyr home, u r theyr guests, that’s how they think, so u must be a pet lover. For the canine: please bring your bedding, there’s a few pillows and bed covers but bring your personal bedding, queen size…Looking forward to meet you.

The outdoor shower is only available during late spring, summer,r and early fall, only once there are no frost warnings.
During the colder months, we provide equipment for hand washing inside the dome. You will heat your water via the kettle in the kitchenette and have a basin to hand-wash.
The hot tub is also available only during late spring, summer, and early fall, as it is a plug-and-play 110V hot tub.

I live in the main house with my two cats, and while I’ll give you complete privacy, I’m always available to answer questions or share local recommendations.

We purchased this farm in 1998 from the previous farmer who had owned it since 1929. The train line ran right by the gate where the Kota hut now sits and would drop cattle right there to be finished and sold later at the Toronto Stockyards. Our barn was built in 1890 with the old farmhouse located across the creek. Two creeks meet the Grand River on our farm. The bunkie is situated north of the barn and faces Willow creek. During the summer the creek gets quite shallow but there are a couple of pools that work nicely for a float with our river tubes. The river also has a small swimming hole. The bunkie is nestled between 2 hills which creates a natural little valley. Campers can take a walk around the property or use the nearby long walking trail. New this spring, campers will be able to enjoy the firewood sauna, located close to the bunkie and nestled in a private spot near the creek.

-- What to do around the cabin?
Mosque Lake and Ompah offer many adventures and places to discover. Go out on a hike and explore the trails in the area. Go on a photographic adventure and try to capture the best wildlife shots around the lake. Take a SUP or a kayak -available for free for the guests- and explore the islands. And if you like to prepare fresh fish-based dishes, Mosque Lake has great trout and perch fishing.
If you like to follow the winds of winter, take a pair of snowshoes available at the cabin and go across the lake and have a winter picnic. Set up your fishing shack outside your door, open a hole and fish!
*Winter roads require an AWD or 4WD vehicle to access Juniper Cabin.
Parking is available on-site for all guests. If you bring your boat, there is parking for your trailer as well.
*Power outages due to storms are always a possibility in cottage country. Typically, power is restored within a few hours if this should happen. Cottages will be stocked with candles and flashlights for guest safety.
*Internet/WIFI access is available at the property- connect to our WIFI and work from the cabins.
* If you’d like to bring your own boat, there is a free boat launch on the lake, and we can support docking your boat.

Guest are welcome to bring their own firewood. The first crate of firewood is included with your stay, and each additional crate is $5. The firewood is self-serve and we ask you to simply let us know how much wood you have used during your stay, or leave the appropriate funds on your table at check out.
Guests are responsible for removing their garbage and recycling from the cabin and bringing it to the garbage shed. The township requires all waste to be sorted, and the containers in the shed are labelled accordingly. Please sort your garbage and do your part to help save our planet.
We do have neighbours on one side of our property and share the peninsula with our amazing cottage community. Please be courteous to our cottage neighbours. We ask that you respect them and the noise levels while staying with us.

New Earth Estate is a year-round retreat and event centre in the heart of Grey County just outside of the village of Markdale, founded in 2016, which conducts soulful programs and events throughout the year. Also as an event venue, on a 50 acre piece of nature, with pond, river, forest and hills, New Earth Estate welcomes, entrepreneurs, institutes, or individuals to have their programs, occasion, or special events held at its beautiful outdoor and indoor spaces.

Weekend Trip to Villa Vida Loca
We had the most incredible romantic getaway at this absolutely gorgeous property! From the moment we arrived, the entire place felt like a peaceful, serene sanctuary.
Our hosts were wonderfully friendly and welcoming, ensuring we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. Here are a few highlights from our trip:
Ultimate Relaxation: Having both the jacuzzi and sauna included in the price was an amazing bonus and made our evenings incredibly relaxing.
Great Amenities: We loved spending time lounging by the beautiful open pool and even tiering ourselves out with a few fun games on the badminton court.
A Special Furry Friend: A massive shoutout to the show stealer, Koda! He is such a friendly, energetic, and lovable dog who brought a huge smile to our faces every time we saw him.
Everything about this stay was flawless. We are already missing the tranquility and might just have to come back and visit again soon!

One of our absolute favourite places to Hipcamp. It’s a truly one‑of‑a‑kind experience these hosts think of everything. From the funky outdoor shower to the clever dish‑washing setup, the perfect coffee in the A‑frame, endless firewood, gorgeous hiking spots, and the hot tub, pool, and sauna… it’s hard to imagine a better way to spend an extra‑special weekend.
We love this place and would follow these hosts to any venture they pursue. Pure magic every time.

Brian & Ann are amazing hosts and their property is beautiful! Koda their dog is such a gentle giant and loved playing with my medium sized beagle/weiner dog mix. We stayed in the bunkie and it was perfect. The pool & hot tub were awesome! We will definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to Time at the Shores
We had a wonderful stay and would happily return. The site felt private and peaceful, with beautiful views over the surrounding fields and some incredible sunsets. The bunkie was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Having a fridge, climate control, and access to the hot tub made the stay especially enjoyable.
Pedro was a friendly and responsive host. When we asked about the hot tub temperature, he adjusted it for us quickly. Firewood was provided, which made relaxing around the campfire easy.
The location was close enough to Port Elgin for coffee, breakfast, and exploring local shops, while still feeling like a quiet escape from everyday life. It was windy when we arrived, but once things settled down, we enjoyed a campfire, stargazing, and a long soak in the hot tub.
Overall, a great spot for a relaxing weekend away.

Weekend Trip to Ottawa Riverfront Glamping - Sunrise Dome
We stayed for 2 nights and had an amazing experience! This was our first-ever glamping trip, and I booked it as a surprise for my boyfriend. The dome was very comfortable with AC, fans, and a super comfy bed. The lake and sunset views were beautiful from both inside and outside the dome, and it really didn’t matter which dome we booked because the scenery was incredible everywhere.
We loved relaxing in the hot tub and hammock. Paddle boat, kayaks, and paddle boards are also available for the guests. The outdoor fireplace was a great touch, and the hosts even provided firewood. We enjoyed a clear starry sky one night and a cozy rainy evening by the lake the next. The hosts were also kind enough to allow us to bring our shisha, which we enjoyed outside in the gazebo.
Everything was well thought out, and the hosts were welcoming and accommodating. We would definitely come back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique and relaxing getaway!

Weekend Trip to Villa Vida Loca
Villa Vida Loca is perfection! My partner and I absolutely love camping and exploring new places, but this spot has completely stolen our hearts, it is the only place we find ourselves constantly wanting and planning to visit again and again.
We loved our first stay in October so much that we had to come back in June, and it was even better. Ann and Brian are incredible hosts who truly excel at everything they do. The property is mesmerizingly clean, incredibly organized, and the attention to detail is stunning. They have thought of everything you could possibly imagine or need: a remarkably comfortable cabin, a great shower and sink setup, a comfortable restroom, a hot tub, a sauna, and a beautiful lake with warm, crystal-clear water.
If you have a dog, this is the absolute perfect place to go! Ann and Brian truly love dogs and will treat yours so incredibly well. Plus, your pup will even have a built-in buddy, sweet Koda.
Brian made sure we were perfectly comfortable and had everything we needed throughout our stay. We are definitely planning a trip number three! 10/10 stars!

Staying at Pedro’s felt like an exclusive adult backyard “cabin out.” Pedro’s hospitality was second to none. We felt right at home from the moment of our arrival. The cabin is perfect for unplugging with the comforts of electricity, light, mini fridge, heater & A.C. The outdoor shower and toilet we’re a highlight - again well equipped and clean. Having access to the outdoor BBQ & Grill over the fire made for some yummy dinners. Ask Pedro where to get the best meat in the area. Who isn’t a fan of a hot tub under the stars and twinkle lights. A relaxing perk that was used every evening we were there. Behind the cabin offers two muskoka chairs tucked in the trees overlooking a field where you can catch a beautiful sunset. There are chickens and an array of other animals that were also cool to visit. Saugeen River Access #3 is a short drive away as well as another access point just down the road. Don’t sleep on this sweet little piece of paradise, with Port Elgin only 10 mins away there is so much to do in this beautiful area. Can’t wait to return.

A great place to relax in nature! The spa and sauna have a beautiful view of the trees, and the bonfire pit was perfect for cooking. They also have basic BBQ gear. Highly recommend if you want some quality downtime in the woods!

Such a beautiful cabin and gorgeous land. We had such a great time building campfires, eating smores and walking around the property. The sky at night was amazing.
