We’re surrounded by Beaverton on Lake Simcoe, Port Perry on Lake Scugog and Uxbridge (the Trail Capital of Canada), which are a close driving distance away. Around the corner from us, the Beaver River Wetland Trail (part of the Trans Canada Trail) is the perfect place for a hike or bike ride.
There’s lots of other exciting things to do and see in the surrounding areas – fabulous restaurants, breweries and wineries, top golf courses, beaches, fishing, watersports, agri-tourism experiences, events and more. The century old barn accommodates guests as a common space to relax, get out of the rain, play a game of ping pong, and is a backdrop for our wood fired hot tub.

We share our backyard with our guests, we are very close to everything that Bruce county has to offer, port Elgin, Southampton, golf courses, different accesses to saugeen river where u can go fishing canoeing, tubing etc., supermarkets, native reserve, sauble beach and dozens of other ones…all at max 15 minutes distance… in the property you will find everything u need for a peaceful stay, hard to describe everything you will find but u can read our reviews, some of them have beautiful descriptions of what is here for you, you must love animals, since we have our pets all around, u are also super welcome to bring yours. One of the high points of here is the interaction u will have with the pets, they are all super friendly and will play with u every time they see u, they believe u r here for them, between, dogs, cats, birds, rabbits etc they will be part of your stay, this is theyr home, u r theyr guests, that’s how they think, so u must be a pet lover. For the canine: please bring your bedding, there’s a few pillows and bed covers but bring your personal bedding, queen size…Looking forward to meet you.

During the colder months, we provide equipment for hand washing inside the dome. You will heat your water via the kettle in the kitchenette and have a basin to hand-wash.

-- What to do around the cabin?
Mosque Lake and Ompah offer many adventures and places to discover. Go out on a hike and explore the trails in the area. Go on a photographic adventure and try to capture the best wildlife shots around the lake. Take a SUP or a kayak -available for free for the guests- and explore the islands. And if you like to prepare fresh fish-based dishes, Mosque Lake has great trout and perch fishing.
If you like to follow the winds of winter, take a pair of snowshoes available at the cabin and go across the lake and have a winter picnic. Set up your fishing shack outside your door, open a hole and fish!
*Winter roads require an AWD or 4WD vehicle to access Juniper Cabin.
Parking is available on-site for all guests. If you bring your boat, there is parking for your trailer as well.
*Power outages due to storms are always a possibility in cottage country. Typically, power is restored within a few hours if this should happen. Cottages will be stocked with candles and flashlights for guest safety.
*Internet/WIFI access is available at the property- connect to our WIFI and work from the cabins.
* If you’d like to bring your own boat, there is a free boat launch on the lake, and we can support docking your boat.

Guest are welcome to bring their own firewood. The first crate of firewood is included with your stay, and each additional crate is $5. The firewood is self-serve and we ask you to simply let us know how much wood you have used during your stay, or leave the appropriate funds on your table at check out.
Guests are responsible for removing their garbage and recycling from the cabin and bringing it to the garbage shed. The township requires all waste to be sorted, and the containers in the shed are labelled accordingly. Please sort your garbage and do your part to help save our planet.
We do have neighbours on one side of our property and share the peninsula with our amazing cottage community. Please be courteous to our cottage neighbours. We ask that you respect them and the noise levels while staying with us.

Whether you’re here for a creative escape, a rustic adventure, or a comfortable group gathering, our property offers 3-season camping in a unique setting.
We have a large outdoor kitchen, three outhouses, a composting toilet, potable water, picnic tables, and Starlink internet. Generators are welcome. No hookups.

Important Details:
All guests must be registered. No unregistered visitors are permitted on the property.
The hosts live on-site but will respect your privacy after check-in. We’re always available should you need assistance but won’t interrupt your stay.
Campfires: Allowed with host approval, unless a fire ban is in effect.
Swimming/Paddling: Beaver pond on-site. *Swim/paddle at your own risk.*

While we strive to keep critters and insects outside, this is a rural property, and occasional interactions with nature are part of the charm.
Animals seen on our property include: mink, beavers, owls, wolf, foxes, deer, fawn, ravens, toads/frogs, snakes, otters, bob cat, crane, moose.

Wood pellets for barn heat, towels, bedding, propane for BBQ, Tesla charging (per day).
We hate cleaning fees too! So to help us avoid cleaning fees we offer low rates and ask guests to help us keep the space tidy.

1 night at Organic Flower Farm
What a fantastic experience, my girlfriend and I were looking for a cute camping retreat for a night. We stumbled across this cute site, the host Mike and Jenny were absolutely amazing. Such humble and thoughtful people, and their farm that they have is beautiful. We got to see the animals he has and how gentle he treats them. Mike took us for a little tour of his property and explained the area to us and the history of it all. The tent and setup he provided for us was incredible, something the both of us will never forget. Star gazing at night and having the beautiful light set up as we lit a fire was very romantic. The bother of us will be attending again forsure! We can’t say enough good things about the stay and the hospitality the hosts gave us. Truly a remarkable experience!

Pedro is an amazing host who will go out of his way to make sure that you have everything that you need. We have never had a host at either Airbnb or Hipcamp that was as friendly and accommodating as Pedro. We will definitely be coming back.

Beth's spot in Port Dover is perfect. The backyard is private and cozy. My friend and I had the best time with our three pups enjoying the hot tub, having fires and grilling our food. Water in the shower was hot and had great pressure. Bed was comfy. Beth added lots of small touches like a note for us about the space, k cups for coffee and towels.
We made some day trips to Burning Kiln and Fisky Beaver wineries and Charlottesville brewing (all dog friendly), and enjoyed a stroll through Port Dover. Highly recommend for what feels like a very elevated camping experience!

I stayed two nights at Beth's cabin behind her house and enjoyed my time there so much. Beth has a special way of making the space feel like it has been dusted with a bit of magic. I loved the hanging chair, guitar that was there to play, space to do yoga and the hot tub for stargazing at night. There was a great juice bar in town and the beach was really close. I had rain one afternoon and did some writing and artwork at the outside table. It was perfect. I would love to book there again in the future. Thank you Beth, you were the perfect host.

We can’t say enough good things about our experience in Port Dover at Beth’s. Such a thoughtful host. So well taken care of, literally everything we needed to make our stay easy. Very clean, loved the hot tub (which was so hot! and relaxing!)
Very private too with such a nice back yard and fire pit!

Weekend Trip to Villa Vida Loca
We stayed one night at the loft and had an amazing experience. Brian met us as we drove in and gave us a little tour of the property and where everything was. The cabin itself was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. The upgraded outhouse had a real camping toilet and a little sink to was your hands, a little luxury. We spent most of our time enjoying the outdoors by fire, eating smores and reading our books. Would definitely come back again!

Weekend Trip to Time at the Shores
Pedro was an amazing host! His love and passion for life and his animals is inspiring. His place is beautiful, the outdoor shower was a great way to cap off the day, before turning in for the night. His babbling fountain created a peaceful meditation while we were outside. The shared outdoor kitchen area was incredibly curated down to even the fresh herbs he was growing for use. We didn’t get a chance to use them, but his hot tub seemed very inviting and his outdoor movie theater screen would’ve been a cool experience if we had more time. His dogs were incredibly friendly and just as good of a host as Pedro was! We hope to stay with him and all of his furry family again some day.

We stayed for three nights and would have happily stayed longer. The tiny house was exceptionally clean and provided plenty of storage space, making it easy to stay organized and comfortable throughout our visit. The property felt very private, peaceful, and exactly as advertised
Aleksandra was a wonderful host - very responsive, attentive, and welcoming She checked in with us daily to ensure everything was going well and even reached out before arrival to see if we had any questions. Her communication and hospitality made our stay even more enjoyable.
