This beautiful spot was re-forested with pine a number of years ago, and was sectioned off from the surrounding farmland, which is now maintained by the mennonite community. It is 8 1/2 acres of wetland and forest, with a mown perimeter, and cool places to tuck into the forest for the night. The current owner was a special educator, and now is slowly turning the land into her homestead. There is a beautiful, spa quality outdoor shower next to a tidy and 'fancier than most' outhouse, a strawberry patch as well as wild alpine strawberries all over the property, a big dog and a small indoor cat keep her company. Here is what the land offers: -Bunkie in the Forest: A sweet 8x8 ft. space with new bunk and mattresses as of April 2023 -Strawberry Fields bunkie: an 10x12 space with a loft with a queen memory foam mattress and a main floor with a full futon and a small table -Campsites: Meadow, Forest and River spots. Close to each other, but you'd never know it! All three are chill and serene places. The property backs onto a ten-foot swimming hole in an otherwise shallow part of the Saugeen River. -RV Spot: With electric hook up ideal for RVs 30 feet and under -a connection to the organization, 'Black Folks Camp Too'! Welcoming to all!!!!! So much to see and do in the area!

This is a very chill and serene place run by a Mom type. It is re-forested pine that backs on to the Saugeen River. There is a ten foot swimming hole in an otherwise shallow part of the river. Winter is brilliant with snow shoeing, cross country skiing (bring your own) and a short drive to funky and fun places to eat. In the Spring you can find fiddleheads if you’re adventuresome! Stars and fireflies await you here, as well as smiles and kindness.

This is a beautiful, three season, very private bunkie with a loft (closed during the winter) . A queen sized mattress is made with care up a secure ladder, with a double futon and a small table on the main floor. It is insulated, and has a dyson heater to keep you warm on those chilly nights. It is powered by a generator, which is in its own housed behind the unit. Your own fire pit with a grate that fits precisely over the fire pit!A nice walk through the forest to all amenities. Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. This cozy two bedroom lower level suite offers newly renovated space to unwind after a day of hiking, swimming, or canoe/kayaking. Though you have a terrific bathroom with a huge tub/shower for soaking the day, you also have access to an outdoor shower! There is a firepit to sit by to roast your marshmallows or pop some corn. A couple of big friendly dogs live in the log cabin above your apartment with your host. Come visit!

Very Secluded and Private
Strawberry Fields Bunkie
We stayed at the bunkie by Strawberry Fields and it is probably the best site out of all the Pine the Sky. It is very secluded, private and shady. Our dogs were able to run around freely without having to worry about the other people on the other sites. Keep in mind though that the bunkie is powered by generator so you have to ask the host if you want to use it. There were mosquitoes but not too bad once you get the fire started. Our host, Joan, was also wonderful and very accommodating during our stay. Too bad, we didn't get to see her dog.

Hideaway in the Pines
We had such a wonderful stay here! The camping accommodation was clean, cozy, and very well maintained. The surroundings were peaceful and beautiful, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. The hosts (Joan, Onyx and Sid) were friendly, welcoming, and made sure everything was comfortable for us. We especially loved the quiet atmosphere and how well organized everything was. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing camping getaway.

Joan was a great host! She was super flexible and accomodating when our cold spring camp turned into a cozy bunkie stay. Beautiful property and lots of great hikes to do in the area. Even took the canoe out for an early morning paddle! Would recommend to anyone

Great location and great host. Was very peaceful looking sitting and looking at the river with a fire going. She has 2 very nice dogs as well (she asked us if we were okay with dogs first before letting them out) that like sitting with you and also running around all over the place. Also the small towns nearby are fun to visit and there are some good trails and hiking areas close by as well. Highly recommend!

A tranquil oasis
Pine the Sky bunkie in the forest!
This was a hidden Oasis! My wife and I decided to spend our anniversary in Pine the Sky'. We were the only ones there as it was a cold late April. The tiny cabin (bunkie) was small but could easily fit two people. There were a upper bunk and a lower bunk we stored our clothes on the top. There are many planted Pune trees that gives privacy and gives a forest feel. We had a fire pit near the bunkie so you can cook. Joan was a fantastic and amiable host and we quickly became friends. Her two dogs were a joy to play with. The dogs are medium sized and playful but they are not aware how strong they are! There are restaurants nearby if you aren't cooking. We spent a beautiful tranquil weekend in nature. We are considering another stay should we want to get out of the city on the weekend. Thanks Joan!

We had an amazing time at Pine the Sky! Joan was so helpful and accomodating. When our early May tenting plans were looking a little too chilly and rainy (not shocking) Joan was flexible and generous enough to let us switch to the cozy bunky last minute. The property is beautiful and we had a lot of fun cooking and relaxing despite the weather.

Hideaway in the Pines
This was an amazing stay. First, it was extremely last minute as we booked it 15 minutes before showing up. Despite that, Joan was very accommodating and set us up right away. It was a nice basement unit with everything we needed included heated floors in the bathroom. The property itself was also beautiful - though we didn’t see a lot of since it was winter. Overall Joan was a great host - friendly and responsive. Highly recommend

Pine the Sky bunkie in the forest!
I rented one of the bunkies this weekend for the 2nd time and its amazing. The bunkie has a bunkbed as well as a easily adjusted heater that keeps you nice and toasty. Highly recommend coming here. Joan is wonderful and very accommodating as well.

Joan is a wonderful host. Very thoughtful of her guests. Her land is beautiful. All of her sights are private and have a fireplace and picnic table. Her dogs Sid and Onyx are beautiful friendly dogs. We had a dog with us and they play all weekend. We are looking forward to going back within the next couple of months.

Pine the Sky bunkie in the forest!
Loved our time at Joan's place. First time using hipcamp so had no idea what to expect, and it was awesome. I plan on returning many times, it is PERFECT, for cyclists who want to use it as a base camp or are through riding. Had a great time, 10/10 will return!

We loved camping in the bunkie at Pine the Sky. Joan was an amazing host, super friendly, very accommodating. She has two beautiful dogs that are very playful. The campsite is very cozy and the views are beautiful! Will definitely visit again.

Most lovely host and welcome doggies. The dogs were super friendly and well mannered. The path to the river was well marked. Well placed and thoughtful sitting spots throughout the property. I didn't use the shower... But it looked very nice. Clean washroom facilities. Would definitely return

Joan was very thoughtful! Each child was left a gift of bubbles which brought them joy! Her banana bread was so delicious, and much appreciated. She also loaned us a can opener and a charge chord which was super helpful! Her trails were well marked and very easy to navigate. She has a lot of water toys to enjoy!

We loved everything about Pine The Sky. It’s got everything we were looking for: private camp site, shade, potable water, hot showers, an outhouse, a sheltered tent to hang out in, and a charging station for your phones!! What more could you ask for? This hip camp is a winner. Plus the host is super friendly and makes sure you have everything you need including an urn with coffee. We can’t wait to go back !

Joan was accomodating and welcoming. She was easy to talk to. Anything we needed she was quick to assist. The cabin was small but wide enough to fit 3 people (and a dog), it wasnt too cold in the cabin and electric source is provided for. If someone is looking for camping but would like to skip the setting up of a tent part, then this place is good for you

Strawberry Fields Bunkie
I didn’t expect the shower to be an outdoor shower, and the showerhead didn’t work, so I ended up just rinsing my hair quickly with the water from the tap. I specifically chose this bunkie because it said electricity was available at the campsite, but the generator was broken, so we couldn’t use any power. I was expecting a more comfortable camping experience, but it turned out to be quite inconvenient and very cold. I wouldn’t recommend this place for families with kids. However, the host was kind and welcoming. I think it would be much better if the washroom, shower, and electricity facilities were improved.
