Welcome to Boondocking on 135 Acres!
The property spans across 135 acres, and includes well-kept woodlands, groomed open fields, treed edges and water views.
Our boondocking site is located in the middle of one of our private open fields. THIS SITE DOES NOT HAVE A WASHROOM. It is perfect for guests travelling in a self contained travel vehicle. THIS SITE DOES NOT HAVE A WASHROOM.
Tent camping is also welcome in this field, but guests need to bring their own portable camping toilets as we do not allow the digging of "cat holes".
The land is well maintained and the site was thoughtfully chosen, but the wildlife doesn’t know that! You can expect to witness deer sightings, rabbits, a variety of birds, and if you’re quiet and lucky, so much more!
NOTE REGARDING CAMPSITES:
In the past, we did have a number of campsites located in the woods (as pictured in many of our past guest photos), however, due to unforeseen circumstances, we regrettably had to close them down.
We invite you to stop in for a night or stay with us for a few peaceful nights.Welcome to Halton Hills Hideaway ~ Your Boondocking Escape on 135 Acres!

What an amazing property! Completely secluded and private and the hosts were incredible. Farm fresh eggs and rooster crowing in the morning, we can’t wait to go back!!
Perfect place to camp the sites are all well spaced out enough not to roll out of your tent and look to see your neighbors.
Shouldn't be saying too much it might get busier if people find out about it.
I stayed at camp 2. I was welcomed to ask if i needed anything otherwise i was left alone never saw or heard a soul.
It was a very windy nasty night but the site and my gear held awesome. I experienced a bit of the ugly side of mother nature and won. Thats the good stuff.
Great place to camp if you want some personal time with friends and family away from the hustle and bustle. Best for singles and friends as there is a bit of a trek to the camp ground which is challenging for large groups. Hosts are super helpful and welcoming.
I had a wonderful experience at Mike and Annie's campsite. The location is truly beautiful, offering a serene escape into nature.
Mike and Annie were warm and welcoming hosts. They also shared their knowledge about foraging and wildlife, which added an educational dimension to my stay.
Overall, my stay was a delightful blend of nature, learning, and warm hospitality. I highly recommend Mike and Annie's campsite for those seeking a peaceful retreat with friendly hosts who value nature and its conservation.
Annie and Mike are awesome hosts. You feel cared for and appreciated from the moment you arrive. I love that they deliver water and Wood, and you, if you want, to your site. The property is well-maintained and the sites are secluded. I stayed at the hidden gem for one night. it’s deep in the woods so you feel like you’re much farther away from the city than you really are. The scenery is breathtaking.
Annie showed me some wild edible mushrooms to add to the eggs they have available and I made a delicious omelette.
I can’t wait to go back!
We stayed at Site 1 - on the water. It was a beautiful site, on the water, beautiful sunsets and surrounded by mature forest. Annie and Mike were incredible hosts - very open and welcoming on the way in and out. They were very responsive and had everything ready that we may have forgotten. Highly recommend! :)
My friend and I loved camping on Annie and Mike's property. What a beautiful piece of land! The sites feel secluded and have a backcountry feel. We went for a nice walk on the trails, the Bruce Trail and just hung out by the fire. They were very accomodating and took quite a big load in the ATV to the back 40 for us. Would definitely head back again!
Really enjoyed tent camping at Mike and Annie's. Directions were crystal clear to follow, the host was kind and helpful, we thoroughly enjoyed the tour of the grounds as we got dropped off at the campsite which was of excellent quality. Logs that were available for purchase were plentiful and burned really well. The availability of an archery package was super fun! 11/10 would recommend.
Our group of 8 had an amazing experience camping at site 2 on Annie’s and Mike’s beautiful property. You are secluded in lush nature away from the hustle and bustle yet so close to Toronto. We loved the privacy and felt like it’s just us in the forest. We spend our days fishing and exploring the trails along with our golden retriever who had the time of his life. Annie and Mike were responsive, accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure our group had everything we needed. Thank you. We cannot wait to be back!!
So peace full, nature galore. All kinds of atv tracks. Annie and Mike are ready to help you with what you need. They work very hard. I felt quilty bothering
them.
We camped in site #1. It is very private with good tree coverage and a pond view. Annie & Mike are very friendly responsive and helpful. A great place to commute with nature.
We had such a relaxing time. The site was secluded and the grounds were well maintained. The new walking path made you feel like you were walking in a fairy tale.
We will definitely be going back!
We stayed at site 3 and we loved it! Annie and Mike are super friendly and accommodating. The site we stayed at was surrounded by trees and we had two outhouses close by. The walk to the pond was short walk and there was fish! We also did archery and axe throwing. I highly recommend camping here if you don’t want to drive 4 hours away and still experience the lush forests, such as the Escarpment can offer. Will definitely come back again!
I was staying at Annie & Mike's property at site #6. Its a best camp site so far if you like to have a sunshine and less mosquitoes, also its the only site that is fully covered with grass, so i found it much pleasant to deal with camping equipment and if you like to be barefoot most of your stay - that's site is definitely the best option. Few words towards owners : Annie and Mike are the best hosts ever !!!! I stayed at their property third time and every time they been always welcoming , helpful and accommodating. I always had a feeling that i am visiting my family and looking forward to see them again. Thank you guys, i love you !!!!!!!
Definitely recommend. Very beautiful campsites, we Just got back from camping on site 6 for 2 days was amazing. Beautiful spot, nice and open with lots of sun. Very private and peaceful. Dog friendly. Great trails and very well maintained and clean. Everything is marked so you don’t get lost too. Very beautiful outdoor bathrooms and a shower. Annie and mike are very friendly and drop you off at your campsite, plus if you give them a 1hr notice they will pick you up and all your gear on the way out. Thank you Annie and mike for an amazing weekend. We will definitely be coming back.
Annie & Mikes land was great! What a fantastic little resort they are building, with multiple tent sites, privacy, and a cabin. Highly recommend! The site was clean, Annie was great to communicate with - no complaints at all! Great for a camping night not too far from the city.
We loved camping in the woods on Annie & Mike's land. They were so helpful with the trek out to the site and carried our stuff on their ATV, including us! Site #3 was quiet, peaceful and well away from other campers, but also close to the trails. The outhouses were clean and well maintained. Highly recommend!
I loved the privacy of it. You're tucked away beautifully by the pond. It was our second year back and our first time at site 2. Life on 137 is clean and serene! See you next year or even maybe sooner!
Thank you to Annie and Mike who hosted us on our first Mom and Son camping trip. The site and grounds are well-kept and clean. It really felt like our own private adventure. We will definitely be back!
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay at Site 2! We had the pleasure to meet both Annie and Mike and they were absolutely lovely and very accommodating. We found there to hardly be any bugs! The site was perfect, very private and away from the little path/road, just the perfect little spot in the woods! You are able to walk down to see the water which is very beautiful at sunset. Very nice toilet set up less than a minute walk away as well! I thoroughly enjoyed our weekend away on their campsite!! 😊
We loved site 5! The 2-layered site gave us tons of space to set up two tents and still have space to pass around a volleyball. Would 100% come back and visit again soon!
