Great spot overall. It’s not as remote as other Hipcamps since it’s attached to Hidden Valley Campground, but that came with unexpected perks like trampolines and extra amenities. More people meant more noise, though nothing unusual for a campground. Loved floating on the river, fishing, and hunting for crayfish. Only downside: the potable water hose is the same one used for RV sewage, which didn’t feel sanitary. All in all, great place, great stay. We will be back for sure!
We absolutely loved camping here! Bill was very accommodating, the site was beautiful and private. Bill and those helping him went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay!

My partner and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this peaceful, beautiful campground.
Bill welcomed us when we arrived and even helped us unload our bags and coolers. Our campsite was very private and exceeded our expectations. We brought our own floaties, which were perfect for relaxing on the river.
We’ve already decided this will become an annual trip

The host was very friendly and welcoming. He checked on us several times to make sure we had everything we needed, and his customer service was excellent. I really appreciated how helpful and kind he was.
However, the campsite itself felt a bit neglected. There is a nice park next to the campsite, but there were leftover rocks and construction materials that looked like they had been there for a while, which made the area look untidy.
The showers also need improvement. There were two showers area, and one of them had a very bad smell, so I couldn’t use it. I had to use the other one instead. In addition, the showers didn’t have proper doors, only a simple barrier, which didn’t provide much privacy.
Overall, the staff’s friendliness made the experience better, but the campsite could definitely benefit from better maintenance, cleanliness, and more attention to the facilities. Also, considering the condition of the place, I found the price to be quite expensive for what it offers.

We had such a beautiful experience staying here for 4 nights! The campsite itself was amazing peaceful, spacious, and surrounded by trees and the beautiful sound of the flowing river beside our site. It felt very secluded and relaxing, but at the same time we still felt the warm sense of community from the other campers at Hidden Valley.
Bill was incredibly welcoming from the moment we arrived. He helped us bring all our stuff in using his side-by-side, which made settling in so much easier. Throughout our stay, he was very kind and thoughtful he even checked on us on the third day to make sure we were doing okay and had enough firewood. Speaking of firewood, he generously provided us with plenty for the rest of our stay, so we never had to worry.
One of the highlights of our trip was renting kayaks. Bill drove us in his amazing truck to the kayaking starting point, and the best part was that the route ended right back at our campsite, so there was no hassle bringing the kayaks back ourselves. Such a convenient and fun experience!
Another unforgettable moment was when fellow campers helped us find a lost phone in the river everyone there was just so friendly and helpful. And bonus points for the cows standing by the gate they made the place feel even more special and charming.
Overall, this was such a fun and memorable camping trip. Beautiful location, wonderful host, and an experience we’ll definitely never forget!

Our stay at Bill’s riverside campsite was fantastic! The location is stunning, with the river just steps away and plenty of space to relax and enjoy the outdoors. The campsite was clean, well-kept, and had all the essentials we needed.
What really stood out was Bill’s hospitality. He welcomed us warmly, gave helpful tips about the area, and made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. You can tell he takes real pride in keeping the place beautiful and making guests feel at home.
Whether you want a peaceful retreat or a base for outdoor adventures, this is the perfect spot. Highly recommend, and I’ll definitely return!

I absolutely adored this campsite. It was beautiful, peaceful and had a welcoming energy. Bill was the kindest host, he went above and beyond to make us feel safe and comfortable for our visit. He was an incredibly helpful and supportive man! Because of him we will definitely be returning. I strongly recommend camping here for an amazing and memorable time!

Bill was such a wonderful and respectful man. So polite and was always available whenever we needed him . He carried our tent , luggage and other stuffs to our campsite . He also brought us plenty of firewoods. It was such a nice place and his service was wonderful . Would love to camp there again

Loved this location. Lots of beautiful sites, private and fun.
We visited Saugeen Riverside Sites this year with a group of 7 people and had a great time. The place was peaceful, clean, and right by the river. The campsite was spacious and perfect for our group.
We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere, the beautiful nature, and being so close to the water. It was a great spot to relax, hang out, and enjoy the outdoors. The washrooms were clean, and everything we needed was available.
Highly recommended if you’re looking for a calm and simple camping experience.

Over priced, and not much level ground. The price paid was not the price posted on Hipcamp. There is a campground on this site that charges half of what is posted on Hipcamp, and Hipcamp didn't help. They leave it up to the Owners to charge whatever.
Our site on the river was the perfect combination of feeling remote and private but without having to deal with backcountry toilets! Beautiful view of the Saugeen river and the main camping area of Hidden Valley was just far enough that we couldn’t hear anyone. We had read that the car would be parked a little away from site so we packed simply and had one small tent. Bill was a fantastic host - friendly, great with the kids and really helpful. We will most certainly back.
This was a my first experience at Saugeen Riverside Sites and everything thing was great! Bill was quick to reply when we had questions and the site was very large with plenty of the things to do. There was canoes and kayaks to borrow, volleyball nets, trampolines, swings, fire pits, etc. I would recommend this campsite to anyone with a tent or trailer.

Bill and Jeremey were very helpful and we enjoyed the camp site a lot! It's on a really beautiful bend in the Saugeen, and there's drinking water, and washrooms close at hand. Great for paddlers too—you can put in at the camp or there are many river access points nearby.
This was a beautiful site. It was spacious and secluded. It had an upper area for tents and a lower area for a kitchen area. We liked the privacy and space. Our dog was allowed off leash. You park a few feet away from the site and then Bill carted our geer on his kubota to the site and again when we left. Bill was great and looked after us very well. He cleaned up a mess made by prior campers. Then he moved the fire pit back to its safer location by the river instead of in the forest and moved the picnic table, too. He made sure we had fire wood and knew where to find the potable water. Bathrooms were a short walk away. They were heated and had showers. They seemed well maintained. Definitely enjoyed our stay.
Bill's camp is one of my favourite place. Quiet place along the river. He's very nice & helpful. He and his grandkids help us to bring our camp stuff to the ground, bring us fire woods and sometimes check to our site but never met us because we're busy to explore their neigbourhood, which is a nice town :)) Highly recommended and surely we will back there.

Bill was fantastic —super personable and communicative. The property is wonderful, and there is a lot to do. Unfortunately, it rained during our trip, but it did not take away from our time together, and Bill was super helpful in making sure we made the best of our time there. Despite the weather, I had a great time and highly recommend this site. I would love to visit again!
