Located in the hamlet of Mosborough on 113 acres, this is a working farm with open fields, an old orchard, and 27 acres of forest.
We are a short drive to Guelph Lake, the Elora Gorge, Guelph to Goderich rail trail, and a 25-minute drive to St Jacob's farmers market. And a 1.4 km walk to a small country market and bakery. A great site for families that you can call home and plan day trips around the area, or hang out at the campsite. Firewood is available for purchase on-site.
We have 3 campsites that are spread out on 4 acres of grass. 1 site is used for temporary summer trailers, 2 are for camping. Pets are welcome, but keep them on a leash. Please remember to remove all garbage and recycling from campsites, a compost bin is available on site by the garden.
A portable toilet is available from May 15 to the end of thanksgiving weekend in October. And please note that we are located beside an active rail line that is used by the Go Train, VIA Rail and freighters, there are trains that pass throughout the night.
A 2 night stay is required for summer weekends.
We look forward to hosting you!

If you're seeking a peaceful camping experience, this spot has a lot to offer with its serene atmosphere and stunning views. Jason, the host, is frequently praised for his attentiveness and responsiveness, enhancing the overall experience for many campers. However, some reviews mention challenges such as uneven ground for RVs, occasional maintenance issues with amenities like the porta potty, and the proximity of trains, which can be noisy. These elements should be considered when planning your visit, especially if you're sensitive to such details.
If you're looking for the ultimate peaceful getaway under the stars, this is the place to be. The secluded campsite offered total tranquility, and Jason was an exceptional host—so kind, welcoming, and attentive to making sure everything went smoothly. Truly a five-star experience!
If you have a RV it’s hard to get to your spot like our RV is really low.
And the spot is so uneven you need beams to get the RV straight.
We knew there was a portable toilet but it should be nice if it got emptied out on time.
And cut the field on time it was way too long.
I think if you rent it out for $65 dollar a night you should take care of the property.
Overall experience was great its just the place was on a street from where road is far away other then that everything is supergood jason is a nice person
We are still trying to process the disappointment and frustration we experienced during our recent camping trip. Despite our excitement and preparation, we were met with a shocking surprise - an electrical outage that had been ongoing for 24 hours, with no power or water available. What's even more disturbing is that the owner knew about the issue but failed to inform us in the morning so we wouldn’t have ever left from our place but it leaving us to discover it on our own. As paying customers, we expect a certain level of service and communication, especially when it comes to basic amenities. Unfortunately, the owner's lack of professionalism and communication fell far short of our expectations, and our weekend was left in shambles.
Loved our time here! Plenty of room and plenty of shade. Clean potty and hydro and water on site was a huge plus. Just a skip away from food and gas and 20 min drive to st. jacobs. Would definitely recommend!
The site was fine but it was clearly mowed directly before we got there and since it was rainy the grass just stuck to everything. Unfortunately, it did rain a lot and our tent was flooded as the uneven ground caused for many small pockets where water could pool. It was also not clear in the ad that the two sites and right next to each other without any trees or things between them. Thankfully, there was nobody at the other site when I stayed there so it was quiet and private, but I felt a bit mislead by the pictures and information given in the advertisement. Overall, if you need a quick place to crash it's fine but I'd say very overpriced for the quality that you get.
We had an enjoyable snowy camping with a group of 6, everything was great!
Jason replied instantly and had the place fully prepared ahead of our arrival, Thank you!
The train wasn't very bothersome, there was plenty of space for my friends and I, not many bugs giving us a hard time, and lots of flat space for us all to have our tents set up. Nothing went wrong, and everything went right! Great spot to stay at!
Tent camping on Jason’s land was great! it’s very secluded, spacious and scenic. I will say make sure to bring your bug spray you will need it! I think the field and Apple trees attract them. It was nice to relax and watch the stars as long as your ok hearing the train drive by sometimes, it is closer then I thought! I didn’t mind it!
I went so many times these campsite, still wonderful place. Im not getting bored / tired either.. a good place to relax with friends and families..i always recommend this wonderful place..but my concerned is the washroom..
I hope Mr.Jason have time to upgrade the washroom and shower..
I loved the site. Was private, porta potty was clean, there was a water tap. Site one doesn’t have a ton of shade but was more private then the other site option!
Very good trails and good amount of shopping near
Campsite is very secluded and has space for plenty of vehicles/activities. Trains run right next to the campsite and are quite loud but are infrequent. Power hookup is two plugs shared between camp 1 & 2 and the toilet is a portaloo but all in all a lovely campsite, would stay again
Very pretty spot to camp. I decided to stay on site 2 and have mixed feelings about it. The ground is on a slope while also having tiers. There was one mostly level spot to put a tent on and I used almost 50 feet of extension cord to get powered up. Other folks have mentioned the trains and while there are many that go by, they are short. I would definitely stay again, just not on site 2.
Second tine staying her. Great location! The railway tracks are very close and busy in the early evening but after 8 or so it dies off and is very peaceful.
My wife and I had a lovely quiet evening here on the orchard 2 site. Lots of space for anything and plenty of room between sites if you're looking for privacy. We had morning coffee watching the sunrise over the fields. Firewood that we purchased on site was ample. I have enough for 3 more trips!
Jason was very accommodating for our last minute reservation. We got in late and had trouble getting setup on a bit of a slope, so he offered to move us to campsite 1 which was much flatter.
The view and peace and quiet when we woke up was incredible!
Thanks!
Jason’s sites were as described. They were quiet and large. Running water and electricity hook ups were in ideal spots. A couple large trees gave some much needed shade in the heat of the summer. Very quiet for the perfect spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life
View was relaxing. Port a potty was not serviced...who knows who destroyed it before we came. Thankfully their are plenty of businesses close by with good restrooms.
