Heavens Acres has been a stop over since the 1850's for people travelling by horse from Toronto to Owen Sound. We have 100 acres surrounded by another 200 acres of conservation land. There is camping in the pine forest as well at the very back of the property where you will find a hardwood bush with trails. Please note that the hipcamp map shows a large body of water on the property, as does google driving maps. It is a marsh, not a lake. Google Earth shows it better. There is however, a creek and pond, but don't bring your boat. :) This is a "LEAVE NO TRACE" campsite, so please take all garbage when you leave. There is no water or power, but there is an outhouse Please note that in the winter months. There’s a $25 surcharge. This is required for snow removal to access the sites that are at at least 1 km into the bush. We are in a snow belt area and it is very difficult to keep the sites open in the winter. Four-wheel-drive is required for access in the winter!

We have owned the property for 19 years. The camping area was once a gravel pit which was rehabilitated in 2020. There is agricultural land that is farmed in the summer as well we host bees at that back of the property . A unique feature on the property is a natural spring that bubbles up and feeds the two streams on the property.

Once upon a time this property consisted of an 18 acre apple orchard and a 10 acre Maple Sugar bush with evidence of it scattered about the property.  I have owned the property for over 16 years now, and moved here from Toronto about 4 years ago, living in nature has become my life.  The property is full of Wild life and history.  The 18 acre orchard was turned into a white pine forest about 40 years ago and has recently been thinned out to promote healthy growth.  Bee hives have recently become part of the life that exists here.  The area is surrounded by a Mennonite community and the Amish are also within a 15 minute drive from here.  On the map you will see that this property is a part of the original Queen's bush.  The highest point in the township with amazing views all around.  Here to enjoy and experience for all.Learn more about this land:64 acres of forests, a pond and an open field filled with wildflowers, butterflies and a vast variety of Birds.
