Discover North Frontenac Lodge in the heart of Ompah, under amazing starry skies, at the shores of Mosque Lake, surrounded by the pristine wilderness of Ontario’s crownland. North Frontenac Lodge is a classic Canadian outdoor experience to be enjoyed at your own pace, without a rush. Our log cabins give a new meaning to simplicity, taking the concept to a higher level through a nature-inspired experience. From paddling adventures, hikes, and fishing to reading a book and enjoying a peaceful evening under the stars, North Frontenac Lodge offers an experience away from a fast-paced, complicated life, one that encourages you to breathe and feel nature as it is meant to be. North Frontenac Lodge has a beautiful sense of community, and we’ve seen many guests leave as friends. Pets are always welcome to join your adventures at the lodge. *Linens and bedding are available if you prefer not to bring your own. If your party is larger than two people and you require more sleeping space, we offer a newly renovated Bunkie that accommodates two more guests. Please let us know if you are interested in reserving the Fern Bunkie, available to all our guests for $75/night (including cleaning). If you’re looking for a special place for a family/friend reunion, friends glamping trip or any other special occasion, and you want to consider renting the 4 Lodge cabins, please let us know; we can plan with you to ensure that whatever event is on your horizon has the perfect setting to make a lifetime memory. -- What to do around the cabin? Mosque Lake and Ompah offer many adventures and places to discover. Go out on a hike and explore the trails in the area. Go on a photographic adventure and try to capture the best wildlife shots around the lake. Take a SUP or a kayak -available for free for the guests- and explore the islands. And if you like to prepare fresh fish-based dishes, Mosque Lake has great trout and perch fishing. If you like to follow the winds of winter, take a pair of snowshoes available at the cabin and go across the lake and have a winter picnic. Set up your fishing shack outside your door, open a hole and fish! *Winter roads require an AWD or 4WD vehicle to access Juniper Cabin. Parking is available on-site for all guests. If you bring your boat, there is parking for your trailer as well. *Power outages due to storms are always a possibility in cottage country. Typically, power is restored within a few hours if this should happen. Cottages will be stocked with candles and flashlights for guest safety. *Internet/WIFI access is available at the property- connect to our WIFI and work from the cabins. * If you’d like to bring your own boat, there is a free boat launch on the lake, and we can support docking your boat. -- In case of emergency, the nearest hospital is: Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital, 33 Drummond St W, Perth, ON K7H 2K1 Guest are welcome to bring their own firewood. The first crate of firewood is included with your stay, and each additional crate is $5. The firewood is self-serve and we ask you to simply let us know how much wood you have used during your stay, or leave the appropriate funds on your table at check out. Guests are responsible for removing their garbage and recycling from the cabin and bringing it to the garbage shed. The township requires all waste to be sorted, and the containers in the shed are labelled accordingly. Please sort your garbage and do your part to help save our planet. We do have neighbours on one side of our property and share the peninsula with our amazing cottage community. Please be courteous to our cottage neighbours. We ask that you respect them and the noise levels while staying with us.

Jack Pine Cabin will allow you to relive a 1940s classic Canadian experience. As a former rustic fishing lodge, Jack Pine is a studio-style cabin with a vaulted log ceiling and log walls, creating a cozy and relaxing space with an outdoor deck facing the lake and just a few steps away from the sandy beach and main dock. The cabin is equipped and ready with all necessities and essentials for a romantic getaway or a unique adventurous stay for those looking to unplug and relax. A queen bed, kitchen, outdoor fireplace, BBQ, and more make Jack Pine a perfect spot to enjoy the essence of nature. Jack Pine includes a washroom with a toilet and sink. Shower facilities are available at the “Shower House,” shared with two other cabins. Enjoy the best night sky in Ontario right beside the fire, either at your cabin, the firepit on the beach, or the common area, right in the centre of the property. There is two main access to the lake on both sides of the lodge. The back dock is perfect for diving, swimming, and fishing. The main dock is on the beach and gradually inclines into the water. We anticipate that your stay will include interactions with other guests who are also on vacation.

Tranquility at its best….. Welcome to Juniper Cabin. This cozy pine cabin is nestled in the forest and boasts gorgeous views from every window. The lake is just steps away, inviting you to dip your toe in the crystal clear water. Juniper Cabin is one of 5 cabins at North Frontenac Lodge. The Lodge was formerly a fishing lodge that was build in the 1940's. A true piece of Canadiana history - when the only way to access the property was to fly in on a pontoon plane. Those days are gone, but the history remains. The lake is a a time capsule with greater than 90% of the lake untouched and preserved in its original state. In recent years, the 2+ acre property been transformed into a space for guests who have a desire for simple lodgings who want to be in nature surrounded by a community that is committed to exploring and understanding nature. The space When you enter the cabin you will be warmed by the natural light that fills the cabin. The windows create the experience of being at one with the surroundings as you are engulfed by trees that surround the cabin and the inviting view of the lake. The cabin kitchen is stocked with all of the essentials for prepping and serving food, a stove and fridge, and is easy access to the cabin deck for BBQing and relaxing. While relaxing on the deck, the tranquil sounds of Mosque Lake can be seen and heard….and is less than 50 feet away. The bedroom on the main level has a queen bed and is facing the lake. The loft area in the cabin has two beds which can accommodate 4 guests. The loft is the perfect nook to hang out and read a book, or lay in bed and savour your morning coffee while soaking in the surroundings – up in the trees staring down at the glistening lake. If you prefer to start your day with a morning shower or lake plunge – Juniper Cabin will offer you either of these experiences. Hang out on the deck in the afternoon sun for a Happy Hour drink, grab a book, play a board game – or head to the dock and listen to the peace and let the afternoon pass you by. To finish off the day, settle in under the most magnificent starry sky you may ever see in your life! Sit by the fire pit at the cabin and breathe in the majestic night sky. For nature lovers who want to soak it all in – grab a paddle, a lifejacket and one of the canoes, paddle boards, kayaks or pedal boat for our guests and explore Mosque Lake. The lake is over 90% Crown Land, so there is lots to discover – island picnics, swimming in the bays, or simply pack your breakfast, float in a kayak and watch the sky of colours as the sun comes up and welcome a new day. If ATVing and snowmobiling is your desire, take advantage of the easy access at the end of the cabin road to a fully maintained groomed road/trail that is over 84km. The trail can take you all the way to Calabogie, with so many breathtaking stops along the way – take a dip in Granite Lake and prepare to be overwhelmed by the untouched beauty that awaits. Mosque Lake is perfect for all season fishing – the Rainbow and Lake Trout await. Ice fishing is permitted on Mosque Lake throughout the Winter season- so bring your gear and have a Canadian Winter experience. With a little luck and skill on your side, great fishing awaits, as there are many lakes to explore around the cabin which also boast fantastic fishing. If an adventure away from the cabin is what your heart desires – there are a few one of a kind adventures that are in store for you– our guest book will help you decide which adventure to choose – restaurants, breweries, farms, cheese making, historic towns all within about an hour from the cabin. Your pets are always welcome to join the adventure at Juniper Cabin. We simply ask guests to keep dogs on leash, clean up after them and not allow them to roam onto any neighbour property.
