Our 14 acre property is a quiet oasis on several biking trails (G2G, Cottonwood Road, Trans Canada Trail) and a very short drive to famous Elora (7 min) and St. Jacobs (20 min), Elmire (10 min). There is access to several Grand River launch sites, many nearby hiking trails, and countless Mennonite farmers markets with fresh produce, baked goods, meats, cheeses, and preserves. This is a hidden Oasis just outside of the Waterloo and Guelph areas.
There’s lots of other exciting things to do and see in the surrounding areas – great restaurants, breweries and wineries, golf courses, rivers, fishing, agri-tourism experiences, events and more.
There is really something for everyone around here.
We have a beautiful green acreage with a picturesque pond, next to Cox Creek and privacy with open and treed space and the promise of gorgeous sunsets almost every night.
We have:

- A lovely composting toilet,
- Firewood for sale,
- Space for RVs,

We DON'T have potable water on site. Please bring your own water.

A couple notes about the property:
We strive to give you a tranquil experience in a beautiful space where you can enjoy relaxing days close to nature, have space to play games, have a paddle around the pond, or seek out the many surrounding activities.
You may encounter property owners (that's us!) and our kids enjoying a walk with their friendly dogs unleashed, picking berries, playing a game or doing yard work near your site and around the property. We hope you don't mind. We aim to give you a lot of privacy, so we aren't going to be around all the time, don't worry. But this is a shared space, that we want to enjoy alongside you and we really hope you enjoy it as much as we do! We'll definitely say hi if we see you but we won't overstay our welcome!

We offer 3 sites right along the river, a tent/trailer site which can easily accommodate both larger and smaller groups, a tent only site which can accommodate rooftop camping, and a one bedroom/room cabin. Our tent/trailer site, and the tent/cabin sites, are each booked on a first come basis and the opposite is made unavailable during your booking. We are happy to accommodate groups that camp together in mixed styles of accommodation.
A short 10 minute drive to nearby amenities (groceries, box stores, gas and liqour) and a quick 1 hour drive to nearby beaches and waterfalls including McGowan Falls, Sauble Beach and Sauble Falls, Hoggs Falls, Inglis Falls.
Take a leisurely float down river by tube, canoe or kayak, step in for a swim or try your hand at casting a rod and reel, by day and camp along the shores by night. Not the water type? Strap on your boots and take in the nature by walking the property, or nearby at one of the many Saugeen River Conservation Areas.
Are you a night hawk? Fill your evenings with campfires and local entertainment, such as the nearby Drive-In Theater in Hanover or local breweries (Neustadt or Hanover) (10 minute drive).

1 Bunkie on a hill overlooking the pond and 2 private tent sites, one at Boot Hill and one in the Field of Dreams. Each site has a fire pit and a compostable toilet and there is a compostable toilet in an outhouse on the property for the bunkie.
Great for canoes, kayaks, bird and wildlife watching with spectacular star gazing.
This property was part of an old homestead and as such I am still finding things so please respect the caution tape. Some finds are treasures (European Grapes, Bergamot, French Roses, Asparagus, Rhubarb, Ramps, Fiddle-heads) and others not so much. I am re purposing what I can and collecting the rest for disposal as I nurture this land back to what it was meant to be, paradise. There is an outdoor shower available as well. A piece of heaven is what awaits you here. If you're looking for privacy your search is over. Imagine having your own island you reach by walking across the 15 metre bridge with a few areas to set up your tent(s) from where you'll fall asleep listening to the sound of the spring flowing into the pond, what bliss. The other site has a large rectangular pond of its own to ensure everyone has privacy.
Your drinking water comes from Mother Nature, not a well, true spring water that's icy cold and so refreshing.. There are two spring fed ponds which makes them revitalizing on a hot day when you go for a swim.
We are located 10 minutes away from the town of Hanover and the Allan Park Conservation is right beside us and has numerous walking and off road bicycling trails. The Saugeen River is 5 minutes away which you can kayak or tube down, too much fun that is.
Our property offers beautiful scenery, virtual privacy, you see glimpses of our home, peace and tranquility with the backdrop of Mother Nature to be heard, geese, wild turkeys, deer, lots of songbirds, coyotes and oh yes, our big friendly lovable
pectaular and later the stars twinkle above and maybe you'll even see a satellite high above while you're stargazing.
Each site has a table (you'll need to bring lawn chairs), firepit with a cooking grill, and a supply of wood you'll have to purchase from us upon arrival, as we are a forestry managed property. An outhouse is a pleasant walk within minutes of the site. Water for dishes and general washing can just be taken from the pond (DO NOT DRINK) Not that it would kill you, lol. Ray will keep you supplied with fresh spring water for drinking.
New to this site is a solar powered string of 300 lights, two single person floats
There are numerous things to do within a 15 minute drive. A couple dams, 2 conservation parks, drive-in theatre, casino, horse racing, small stock car racing track (great for young kids), two local breweries, a busy local butcher and the Saugeen River. With more destinations as you move outward.
We promise you won't be disappointed and can't wait to share our piece of Heaven with you.
TAKE NOTE You will be charged $500 per bag/item of refuse you leave behind. WE DO NOT HAVE GARBAGE PICKUP, besides which you are supposed to leave the site as you found it.
CANCELATIONS: IF you cancel within two weeks of your arrival date, your money will NOT be refunded nor will you be able to change the date. Heavens Acres has been a stop over since the 1850's for people travelling by horse from Toronto to Owen Sound.
We have 100 acres surrounded by another 200 acres of conservation land.
There is camping in the pine forest as well at the very back of the property where you will find a hardwood bush with trails.
Please note that the hipcamp map shows a large body of water on the property, as does google driving maps.
It is a marsh, not a lake.
Google Earth shows it better.
There is however, a creek and pond, but don't bring your boat. :)
This is a "LEAVE NO TRACE" campsite, so please take all garbage when you leave.
There is no water or power, but there is an outhouse
Your furry friends are allowed for free but if you have extra people please pay for them.
You can adjust your booking if there are more people than originally requested.
This covers costs like insurance and private property access, property taxes and the huge initial investment.
Please note that in the winter months. There’s a $25 surcharge.
This is required for snow removal to access the sites that are at at least 1 km into the bush.
We are in a snow belt area and it is very difficult to keep the sites open in the winter.
Four-wheel-drive is required for access in the winter!

Such a cool and unique camping experience! The site is super private, remote and tucked right into the forest — exactly what we were looking for. Rick was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home.
We came with our 5 young kids and 2 dogs, and honestly had the best time. There are trails after trails to explore, a beautiful swimming pond (available to use when the cottage isn’t being rented), and so much space to just wander, explore and enjoy being outside.
If you’re looking to truly unplug, get away from everything and camp surrounded by nothing but forest, this is your spot! 🌲
And of course, the plane just makes the whole experience that much cooler! ✈️🏕️ Such a hidden gem — we will absolutely be back!

We had an amazing time at Creekside in site 2, the site is huge and feels so comfortable. Dan stopped by a couple times and brought his beautiful dog penny who is a sweet heart. Dan let us use his kayaks and gave us good tips on where to swim and fish, and we had great conversations. The beautiful views in and around the property already made us want to come back but how welcoming Dan and Penny are cemented that.
It was my baby’s first camping trip and it felt very safe.

We had an amazing time at Terry and Rays campsite. The dockside campsite was beautiful with tons a space. The water was refreshing and clean. Lots of privacy.

Weekend Trip to Rugby House Retreat
Thanks to Renee and Warren for having me at the Rugby Retreat for a solo stay to get out of the city. I stayed in “The Poor House” and would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable “camp” experience. Everything you need to have a stress free getaway is here. The property and pond are so beautiful! I will definitely be back for another quiet weekend in the future 😊

Beautiful camping sites. There are 4-5 camping sites on the property not too far from each other. We were the only ones there so we got to take a look around. The grounds were beautiful and we got lucky and enjoyed extra privacy. My doggy and I had the best time!

Lovely hosts and a wonderful bit if country to explore complete with wooded trails and a pond. I wish I could have stayed longer!

It’s absolutely gorgeous land with tons of space. My dog had a blast running around off leash, and we love the picnic table and fire pit. Would absolutely come back again, but I would bring a lot more mosquito spray next time!!!

2 nights at Cherry Hill Hobby Farm
Discovered a little gem! Beautiful, private, welcoming, and tranquil. Highly recommend Liz's land.
The camper was clean and comfortable. Many sleeping options - big comfortable double mattress with a pull divider for privacy, twin bunk beds in the back with a curtain for privacy, a table that can fold down and a sofa that folds down too!
You will want to spend your time enjoying the beautiful land and trails. Berry bushes, herb garden, tea garden, and a sugar shack too!
Lots of woodland creatures singing their songs. Birds, frogs, squirrels. Love the music of the forrest.
Breakfast was breeze with the propane stove top. I recommend meeting the chickens and roosters and purchasing some fresh eggs!
Liz and family make you feel right at home. You could be visited by the family kitties too :) Can't say enough about about how warm and welcoming this gem is.
A generous free first fire wood pile made dinner and marshmallow time simple and relaxing.
Bear dog loved his stay too! A short, beautiful winding road drive to Port Burwell dog beach. Happy dog and I loved it too!
I only wish I had booked more days.
Can't wait to visit again!

We had the most amazing few days on Laura's land! My kids loved playing in the pond right on our site. It was very quiet and peaceful area. It was convenient to have the composting toilet nearby (it did not smell!)

I would definitely come back again and recommend this camp site. Charles (Chuck) is very friendly and helpful, my friend brought the wrong air pump for his air mattress and Chuck had no issue helping out, we mentioned it would be nice if we had space by the river to fish and next day Chuck had cleared two spot for us to fish.
The view is beautiful, clean outhouse. There was another 2 sites there it was nicely spaced out so that you have your own privacy. We were booked for Upper Deck and Chuck was nice to let us move to Waterfront as it was empty right at the water edge.

Second time coming to natures acres, we love the site! So much stuff to do with the pond (bunch of provided water equipment to use kayaks, paddle board, pedal boat), and trails. There’s so much space on each site for lawn games or tossing a football/frisbee around. Brought some friends with us this time around and everyone had so much fun. We will be back!

Weekend Trip to Edges Sideroad Springs
We really enjoyed our stay at the A-frame (two adults plus dog). The area is beautiful with a pond nearby and trails going through the property. The cabin was clean and comfortable and felt private. Even though there are other campsites on the property, for the most part, we felt like we had the place to ourselves.
The host was very friendly and so helpful, even taking the time to show us how to build a proper campfire. Despite being out there over a rainy weekend, we had a great trip. So whether you're a seasoned camper or someone thinking of giving camping a shot for the first time, this is the perfect place to stay.

We stayed at Camping Site 2, and it was peaceful, clean, and perfect for relaxing. Overall, we had a fantastic time and created some lovely memories. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique and enjoyable camping experience!
The donkeys were very friendly, and Lily was definitely my favorite—I absolutely loved spending time with her!

This site is absolutely beautiful! One of my favorite places I've visited. The private beach was amazing to watch the sunsets and perfect for swimming and taking out our inflatable boat. The site did have a bit of a decline but once we set up our air mattress the other way we had no issues. Unfortunately we didnt get to meet Lisa but we were on the water most of the time we stayed.
The water was super close to the site which I loved! We got to see lots of wildlife such as deer, turkey, vultures, geese and even a bald eagle! The outhouse hadn't yet been updated and we noticed quite a bit of trash inside and a bees nest but after our stay it was updated. I will definitely be booking this site again, thank you so much for having us!
