Our 14 acre property is a quiet oasis on several biking trails (G2G, Cottonwood Road, Trans Canada Trail) and a very short drive to famous Elora (7 min) and St. Jacobs (20 min), Elmire (10 min). There is access to several Grand River launch sites, many nearby hiking trails, and countless Mennonite farmers markets with fresh produce, baked goods, meats, cheeses, and preserves. This is a hidden Oasis just outside of the Waterloo and Guelph areas.
There’s lots of other exciting things to do and see in the surrounding areas – great restaurants, breweries and wineries, golf courses, rivers, fishing, agri-tourism experiences, events and more.
There is really something for everyone around here.
We have a beautiful green acreage with a picturesque pond, next to Cox Creek and privacy with open and treed space and the promise of gorgeous sunsets almost every night.
We have:

A couple notes about the property:
We strive to give you a tranquil experience in a beautiful space where you can enjoy relaxing days close to nature, have space to play games, have a paddle around the pond, or seek out the many surrounding activities.
You may encounter property owners (that's us!) and our kids enjoying a walk with their friendly dogs unleashed, picking berries, playing a game or doing yard work near your site and around the property. We hope you don't mind. We aim to give you a lot of privacy, so we aren't going to be around all the time, don't worry. But this is a shared space, that we want to enjoy alongside you and we really hope you enjoy it as much as we do! We'll definitely say hi if we see you but we won't overstay our welcome!

Heavens Acres has been a stop over since the 1850's for people travelling by horse from Toronto to Owen Sound.
We have 100 acres surrounded by another 200 acres of conservation land.
There is camping in the pine forest as well at the very back of the property where you will find a hardwood bush with trails.
Please note that the hipcamp map shows a large body of water on the property, as does google driving maps.
It is a marsh, not a lake.
Google Earth shows it better.
There is however, a creek and pond, but don't bring your boat. :)
This is a "LEAVE NO TRACE" campsite, so please take all garbage when you leave.
There is no water or power, but there is an outhouse
Your furry friends are allowed for free but if you have extra people please pay for them.
You can adjust your booking if there are more people than originally requested.
This covers costs like insurance and private property access, property taxes and the huge initial investment.
Please note that in the winter months. There’s a $25 surcharge.
This is required for snow removal to access the sites that are at at least 1 km into the bush.
We are in a snow belt area and it is very difficult to keep the sites open in the winter.
Four-wheel-drive is required for access in the winter!

Hunt club at adjacent property fires occasionally and its property boundary is shown on the web page map and also marked with signage.
The TINY HOUSE caravan is close by the house with power access.
The HIVE site is closer to the house for easier vehicle access and proximity to the compost toilet and house wifi.
The TREE ISLAND site is across the creek and surrounded by fields.
The LOOKOUT site is further still with more of a view of the surrounding landscape.

Great for canoes, kayaks, bird and wildlife watching with spectacular star gazing.
This property was part of an old homestead and as such I am still finding things so please respect the caution tape. Some finds are treasures (European Grapes, Bergamot, French Roses, Asparagus, Rhubarb, Ramps, Fiddle-heads) and others not so much. I am re purposing what I can and collecting the rest for disposal as I nurture this land back to what it was meant to be, paradise. There is an outdoor shower available as well. We had an excellent stay at the Lake Erie Geodome! The entire experience was relaxing, comfortable, and truly unique. The dome was beautiful, very clean, well maintained, and had everything we needed for a great getaway.
The location was peaceful, and being so close to Lake Erie made the experience even more special. It was the perfect place to disconnect, enjoy nature, and spend quality time together.
Everything was exactly as expected—or even better. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and memorable escape by Lake Erie.

Site 3. We loved it. Great creek side setting, exceptional views, awesome water access and sunsets. The stars were amazing so dark. The sites are large and very clean plenty of space. The peacefulness and vibe of the property really stood out for us. Trails were good for exploring. Lots of mushrooms. With no services and completely off grid it was the perfect opportunity to unplug and get away from the noise. Dan the host was fantastic. Super chill vibe and made us feel very welcome. We wanted for nothing. Penny his dog is so sweet. We were sad to leave but our adventure took us further in the bush to some great lakes for paddling and enjoying the rest of our holidays. We will be back!

The river view at sunset was absolutely stunning, as was the mystic fog view in the morning. A very quiet, peaceful evening spent riverside and under the star-filled sky. Beth's Finnish Sauna was a great way to wind down after a long day on the road and was just as advertised! Thanks, Beth; we hope to be able to visit you again.

Had a really great time. Pamela was a great host, the site details don’t lie. It’s a cozy little spot.
(If you don’t have a 4x4 you will have a little bit of a walk to the site, not an issue, just fyi if you use your vehicle as storage when you camp.) Couldn’t have asked for better weather!

We had such a great stay! The campsite was peaceful, spacious, and perfect for our family camping trip. Susan was very accommodating and easy to communicate with, especially with all our last-minute questions and changes. Liz and her husband are superhosts. Showed us around there beautiful land. Made sure we have everything to enjoy the time. She even let us drive her golf cart through the woods which was very kind of her. Showed my kids baby chicks as well. Highly Recommended

We stayed on site 3 and it was beautiful. The sky was so dark at night, making for great star gazing. There’s trails to walk through the forest with lots of different species of mushrooms waiting to be admired.
Dan was wonderful! Easy to contact if we had any issues (we didn’t) and was kind enough to let us use his kayaks!
We hope to be back next year!

Weekend Trip to BAM’s Spanish Riviera
Beth and her property were very welcoming. The sauna was wonderful, beautiful piece of river to paddle down. Kayaks or canoe available. So peaceful. Loved my cozy little cabin. There were mosquitoes but nothing some bug spray or thermacell couldn't handle. Screened in kitchenette was perfect with a toaster and kettle for some tea! Will be returning.
