Refuges le Torrent est un site d'hébergement écotouristique situé à Chertsey, dans la région de Lanaudière. Le terrain, entre montagne et rivière, abrite une seule et unique yourte : la vôtre ! Votre espace de paix. De forme circulaire, la yourte a été conçue pour favoriser la création : une table de travail aménagée devant les fenêtres panoramiques, un espace libre au centre habillé d’un tapis où s’étirer, lire et réfléchir devant le poêle à bois. Tout autour, le son enveloppant de la rivière, le bruissement des feuilles et la force de la montagne. Refuges le Torrent is an ecotourism accommodation site located in Chertsey, in the Lanaudière region. Nestled between mountain and river, the property houses a single yurt—yours! Your peaceful retreat. Circular in shape, the yurt was designed to foster creative conditions: a work table set up in front of panoramic windows and a central space covered with a rug where you can stretch, read, or reflect by the wood-burning stove. Cet espace nommé "La yourte à soi" en hommage à l’essai de Virginia Woolf, est un lieu à la fois intime et ouvert sur le paysage, qui a été conçu pour favoriser les conditions de la création: une table de travail aménagée devant les fenêtres panoramiques, un espace libre au centre habillé d’un tapis où s’étirer, lire, penser devant le poêle à bois. Tout autour, le son enveloppant de la rivière, le bruissement des feuilles et la force de la montagne. _________ Our yurt is located in Chertsey, in the Lanaudière region, on a 285,000-square-foot wooded lot beside a pretty, cascading river where you can swim. From the yurt, you can see the river. This space, named "The Yurt of One's Own" in homage to Virginia Woolf's essay, is both intimate and open to the landscape, designed to foster the conditions for creation: a work table set up in front of the panoramic windows, a central open space covered with a rug where you can stretch, read, or reflect in front of the wood stove. All around, the enveloping sound of the river, the rustling of leaves, and the power of the mountain.

Firewood provided, firepit, wood burning fireplace, private. Please respect the regulations regarding open fires, which you should check during your stay.

Off leash. Les chiens sont permis (1 ou 2 chiens) sous certaines conditions. Dogs are permitted (1 or 2 dogs) under certain conditions. Cats are not allowed. For stays with dogs, an additional $60 cleaning fee applies, as the rug and all blankets will be cleaned after your departure to ensure cleanliness and minimize the risk of allergic reactions. You are responsible for cleaning, drying, and putting away any dishes you use; we will take care of the rest. You can bring your own sheets or rent ours (see prices above). We will provide a dog bed to place on the rug for protection, a towel to wipe your dog's paws, and food and water bowls. Your dog may be off-leash .

Hot water . The shower is outdoors and is only available during frost-free periods.

Compost bin, recycling bin, trash bin. The compost bucket must be emptied into the outdoor compost bin right next to the yurt, and you must bring your rubbish bag with you to throw it in the large rubbish bin in the car park. after each visit.
Cooking equipment present
Grill over firepit, private, cooking utensils, dishware, cutlery, sink or other dishwashing station. For cooking and washing water, there is a small tank under the yurt's sink, which you can fill yourself with river water. A tap with a pump makes washing hands and dishes easier.
