La yourte du Torrent offre une vue sur une rivière tout en cascades. C'est un petit cocon enveloppant un coeur de la forêt. Vous prendrez votre café le matin au coin du feu, vous irez vous balader en canot l'après-midi sur lac Chantelle, vous regarderez les étoiles le soir à travers le dôme vitré, avant de vous endormir sous le doux son de la rivière.

ACCÈS À LA RIVIÈRE ET AU LAC
La yourte se situe au bord de la rivière. Vous aurez un accès exclusif à la berge et ses installations (rond de feu, table à pique-nique, tipi suspendu, hamacs). L'eau coule à travers les rochers. La rivière est plus creuse à certains endroits. L'été, on peut s'y immerger complètement et nager (baignade non surveillée).
Le lac Chantelle lac se trouve à une quinzaine de minutes de marche, à l'extérieur du site. On y accède par une petite plage gazonnée partagée avec les résidents du lac.

Vous vous chargez de laisser le lieu aussi propre que vous l’avez trouvé (laver et ranger la vaisselle utilisée, passer l'aspirateur, etc.).
Au refuges Le torrent, nous avons à coeur de minimiser l'impact écologique de la présence humaine au sein de la forêt. Tout au long de votre séjour, nous vous invitons à faire le tri de vos déchets: les matières recyclables dans le bac de recyclage à l'intérieur de la yourte, les matières compostables dans le bac à compost à quelques pas à l'extérieur de la yourte.

L’arrivée se fait de façon autonome. L’emplacement des clés vous sera communiqué la veille de votre séjour.
L’arrivée est possible dès 16h et le départ au plus tard à 14h.
PARKING ET TRAJET JUSQU’À LA YOURTE
Le stationnement est gratuit. Il y a 10 minutes de marche entre le stationnement et la yourte, le long d’un sentier pédestre. Deux brouettes sont disponibles sur place en été, et un traineau en hiver. Vous les trouverez dans le stationnement.

Enjoy your morning coffee by the fire, go for an afternoon canoe ride on Lake Chantelle, and gaze at the stars through the glass dome in the evening before drifting off to sleep to the soothing sound of the river.

ACCESS TO THE RIVER AND LAKE
The yurt is located right by the river. You will have exclusive access to the riverbank and its amenities (fire pit, picnic table, hanging tipi, and hammocks). The water flows over rocky terrain, with deeper sections in certain areas. In summer, you can fully immerse yourself and swim (unsupervised swimming).
BEDDING ARRANGEMENT
✓ 2 single beds that convert into a comfortable king-size bed (the two singles lock together, leaving no gap or wooden bar in the middle);
✓ Additional memory foam floor mattress.
AMENITIES
✓ Electricity provided by solar panels (supply varies depending on weather conditions) 🔆
✓ Kitchen counter with sink (supplied by a reservoir under the sink that you fill yourself with river water). A tap with a built-in pump makes washing hands and dishes easy 💦
✓ Electric cooler (functions like a small refrigerator) ❄️
✓ Gas stove (gas included) 🍽️
✓ BBQ (available 3 seasons; gas included)

At Refuges Le Torrent, we are committed to minimizing the ecological impact of human presence in the forest. Throughout your stay, we ask that you sort your waste: place recyclables in the bin inside the yurt and compostables in the compost bin located just a few steps outside.

Check-in is available from 4:00 PM, and check-out is by 2:00 PM at the latest.

Parking is free. It is a 10-minute walk from the parking area to the yurt along a footpath. Two wheelbarrows are available on-site in summer, and a sled in winter; you will find them in the parking area.

For stays with dogs, an additional $60 cleaning fee applies, as the rug and all blankets will be cleaned after your departure to ensure cleanliness and minimize the risk of allergic reactions. You are responsible for cleaning, drying, and putting away any dishes you use; we will take care of the rest. You can bring your own sheets or rent ours (see prices above). We will provide a dog bed to place on the rug for protection, a towel to wipe your dog's paws, and food and water bowls. Your dog may be off-leash .

Yurt By The River
Endroit isolé, confortable et paisible. Notre chien en a profité tout autant que nous pour se ressourcer et profiter de la nature (surtout la rivière). Nous recommandons cet endroit et allons sans doute y revenir!
Sans oublier que c'est un voyage facile de Montréal.
To say that this place is special would not be enough to capture the care, tranquility and respect for nature at MJ’s yurt space. We felt as though we slept in a treehouse. The outdoor shower, access to beautiful river swims, the attention to detail make this a remarkable getaway spot for a couple or friends. The hike in does require sturdy shoes and sensible bags, but once there, you will never want to leave. The bed is comfy, the stove and electric cooler and well appointed kitchenette (plus BBQ) allow for easy meal preparation. We feel so restored and cannot wait to return. Merci, MJ!
