Matthew was very welcoming and a great host. The site was a nice and private spot tucked away in the wood beside a stream. The tent pad at the site was a great way to get off the ground during fall camping. Also the quality and quantity of firewood Matthew has for sale is much better than what's available at the local gas stations. The walk to the site from the parking area is also very manageable.

Incredible hosts! Extremely accommodating, friendly, kind and helpful. The site was exactly what we were looking for. About a 100-200m hike into the camping spot. Be prepared for a little hike in. Very private and secluded between two lakes. First HipCamp experience very positive.

We absolutely loved the suspended tent experience and secret paradise on Alex's land. It was heaven. Super private, so much space and little corners to enjoy peace, beauty and nature's rhythms. Alex is an amazing host, even the wildlife on his land are happy, playful and fun. We enjoyed watching the otter family swim all day, who made sure to get our attention multiple times. We felt safe, supported and left very inspired. We are grateful and very blessed for this experience. Thank you Alex :)

We enjoyed the site. The directions were clear and the path was well marked. It felt more like a canoe camping site than a basecamp. Canoeing around both lakes to observe the beavers habitat and the rare plants was great. Solennes and her husband were friendly hosts.

Nature puts on a show at Mont-Tremblant National Park—think Laurentian Mountain views, vast lakes, and moose, mink, deer, and the likes. This is Quebec’s second largest protected area, home to 82 kilometres of hiking trails leading to views over the untouched, remote boreal forest. Summer activities include standup paddleboarding, via ferrata, fishing, kayaking, and even canoeing in a traditional birch bark rabaska canoe once used by Algonquian travellers. Winter is also a good time to visit for that perfect snowy Canada postcard, with some of the best alpine skiing in Quebec, as well as dogsledding, snowshoeing, and fatbiking. Tips for snagging a campsite

Online bookings for campsites in Mont-Tremblant open at 8 am ET on November 14 each year.
It’s pretty rare to score a walk-up site between May and October, particularly considering the proximity to Montreal. Try to book well in advance, especially on weekends.

When to go

Due to its proximity to Montreal, Mont-Tremblant camping sites are quite crowded at all times, but particularly so in the last week of June, late July, and early August. While Mont-Tremblant is open year-round, some services may not be available in winter.

Know before you go

In order to stay at a Mont-Tremblant campsite, you’ll need to pay a daily entrance fee per adult in addition to the nightly camping rate.
Arrive early in the day to avoid being refused entry due to full capacity.
Dogs are allowed on-site, but only in certain areas. Guide dogs and service dogs are allowed everywhere.
