The main shared area "The Point", is the peninsula that the main roadway ends at (where the BBQ, kayaks and canoes are), this is a shared area for us and our guests to enjoy. The Point offers a large picnic table, a propane BBQ, comfortable seating, a large rock perfect for sunbathing, and a river view. It's an ideal spot for swimming and launching canoes, kayaks, or paddle-board river excursions, thanks to its shallow entry and rocky bottom. Adventurous visitors might choose to paddle upriver, around an island, and return through the remaining historic canal. For a more strenuous workout, consider paddling up the canal to the Grenville lighthouse and then drifting all the way back to camp with the river's current. Enjoy this historic, lazy river experience!

La cabine cathédrale au toit de tôle a suffisamment d'espace pour manger, se divertir et faire du yoga, elle dispose également d'une mezzanine pour 2 personnes et peut être utilisée comme coin de lecture, apportez vos propres sacs de couchage, oreillers et serviettes et vous êtes invités à vous installer. monter une tente sur le camping extérieur. Il y a une douche chauffée à pleine pression, des toilettes à compost, un évier extérieur et une station de cuisson. Le site est réservé pour une intimité totale, une seule réservation de groupe à la fois, vous disposez donc de votre propre espace privé dans les bois. Il y a une cheminée dans la cabane avec beaucoup de bois. Le sol est principalement constitué de tremplins naturels, cueillis à la main dans les bois. Cabine Luciole is a heritage Sugar Maple Cabin built in the late 1800's. It is located in an mossy, old growth maple forest with towering majestic maple trees. It is built on a leyline by Irish (Erin) settlers, giving it powerful energy to rejuvinate. You can also walk the cretan labyrinth, to bring balance.
catherdral tin roof cabin has enough space for dinning, entertaining and yoga, it also has a sleeping loft for 2 people, and can be used as a reading nook, bring your own sleeping bags, pillows, and towels and you are welcome to set up a tent on the outdoor camping site. There is a heated full pressure shower, compost toilet and an outdoor sink and cooking station. The site is booked for complete privacy, only one group booking at a time, so you have your own private spot in the woods. There is a fireplace in the cabin with plenty of wood. The floor is mostly nature stepping stones, hand picked from the woods. The cabin is nestled in a moss and fern magical woods with fireflies, owls, deer, and foxes. There are groomed peaceful walking trails. A sphere shaped cooking outdoor fireplace under firefly solar lights adds to the magical experience. There are wonderful activates such as fishing, kayaking (Safari Kayak) and bike trails in the local area. Go back in time and experience the rare wisdom of the sugar maple trees that are over 150 feet tall. You will never want to leave, come back and see the trees colourful splendor in the fall and in early spring we plan to have hands on maple syrup making.

There’s a cozy queen bed with fresh linens and a down duvet. A covered deck with handcrafted rocking chairs for sunset views. A private fire area below for campfires and stargazing. LED lighting, a Bluetooth speaker, a Jackery battery bank, clean well water, lanterns, an outdoor shower, and a clean outhouse. I’ll even haul your gear in by ATV so you can settle in without the hassle.
And after all that work, most guests still seem to agree on the real highlight:
Watching their dogs absolutely lose their minds with happiness.
More than anything, this place has become a favourite for people who want to give their dogs the kind of freedom they rarely get anywhere else. Most of our guests tell us over and over, that their favourite part is watching their best friends make their own decisions, run the trails, sniff everything, chase chipmunks, explore the forest, and basically have the time of their lives.
Of course, the humans tend to enjoy themselves too.
The cabin sits on a west-facing cliff on our private 164-acre property. Once you arrive, you’ll have the feeling of having the whole place to yourselves. The trails, the forest, the quiet, the sunsets, it all feels wonderfully removed from the usual noise.
In summer, the forest is lush, green, and full of life. The days are warm, the trails are shaded, and evenings at the cliff often bring a breeze and a beautiful sunset. For dogs, there’s endless space to explore. For people, it’s a chance to unplug, slow down, and enjoy a kind of peace that’s getting harder to find.
You’ll have access to 10 km of private trails through forest, ridgelines, and lakeshore. Wildlife is plentiful, and depending on the season, you may spot deer, foxes, loons, and maybe even a family of bald eagles!

Our cozy A-frame cabin and peaceful nature campsites are located in a beautiful mixed woodland next to the Missisquoi River, which is great for swimming, kayaking, and paddleboarding in the summer, and cross-country or backcountry skiing and snowshoeing in the winter. The property is fairly steep, so be prepared for a good 5–10 minute workout as you hike up to the cabin.

The Domaine de la Templerie is first and foremost a Table champêtre (farm to table). To have a rustic table, a good majority of the products served in the restaurant must come from the farm. This is why you will find on site a farm with wild boars, geese, ducks, guinea fowl, pheasants, capons, turkeys and many other animals! This rare urban site acknowledges our Abenaki heritage, who camped and lived along these shores for centuries.
Our beautiful urban location near highway 410 and Bishop's University, directly on St. Francis river, makes it an exceptional starting point for cyclists who want to enjoy the Route Verte path; fish, canoe, kayak or tube the river or simply explore all Sherbrooke has to offer.
Our birdlife is amazing and is a recognized birding location by provincial authorities, especially for swallows and chimney swifts. A fire pit will be made available, in respect of all fire bans, with firewood available for purchase.
In 1910, Agriculture Canada set up a research centre that operated until the 1950's.
The property was sold to a family that emigrated to Canada from Europe, to set begin a new life post WW2.
In 2015, I purchased the property to return it to its roots - regenerative farming, training, hospitality, poverty relief and healthy living.

Pool access may be available upon agreement with the owner.
The property is fully equipped for washing mountain bikes and gravel bikes after your rides.
A portable toilet may be available for campers staying in tents—please ask in advance.
Two friendly Australian Shepherds live on the property and are very sociable with other dogs.

I had the most magical time staying at this property - beautiful space and well equipped - the shower is indeed cold, and I stayed mid-October so it did get chilly at night without the heater! Bren was super responsive and helpful!

Gorgeous site! Better than the photos. The hosts were super fast at responding, and everything was ready for us to use easily. Kayaking on the lake was a beautiful experience, and I loved how easy it was to access everything.
One note is that the ground is extremely uneven, which was fun for us and a cool environment to camp in, but it would be challenging to move around the site if you have any mobility issues.
Un site magnifique ! Encore plus beau que sur les photos. Les hôtes répondaient super rapidement à nos messages, et tout était prêt pour que nous puissions profiter facilement de tout sur place. Faire du kayak sur le lac était une expérience magnifique, et j’ai adoré à quel point tout était facilement accessible.
Un petit point à noter : le terrain est extrêmement inégal. C’était amusant pour nous et ça donnait un cadre vraiment original au camping, mais il pourrait être difficile de se déplacer sur le site pour les personnes ayant des problèmes de mobilité.

Weekend Trip to Camp dans Rouge/ Camp in Red
We had a wonderful stay at Camp in Rouge! Camping was so effortless without the hassle of packing tons of supplies—all we needed to bring were our clothes and food. Rae is an incredibly friendly and welcoming host who instantly made us feel right at home. She gave us clear, detailed directions to the secret waterfall, which turned out to be a major highlight—our son had an absolute blast!
P.S. My husband is still raving about the brownies from the bake sale!

This is one sweet camper! The bed is huge and super comfortable and cozy. The bathroom and kitchenette are perfectly adequate. There are lots of windows and there are curtains to close for privacy, although it's in a mostly-private location, surrounded by trees. The grounds are lovely, but we didn't get to enjoy them because we used the camper only as home base for our daily visits to Montreal. It's an easy drive to the city. We did not meet Bren but communicated several times on the Hipcamp app, and the responses were quick and considerate. Enjoy your stay!

My partner and I stayed at the House of Leo and it was a perfect getaway. The cabin is beautiful and so cozy, and the hosts were kind and responsive from start to finish.
The spa experience under the stars is a must-do. And the dinner of soup and grilled cheese made our stay extra special.

Super endroit. Les sites Maple loop en tente ou en tente-roulotte ainsi que le site Riverside en tente seulement sont superbes avec leur plate-forme au bord de l’eau. Brien est vraiment sympathique et est un hôte exceptionnel. Nous revenons à chaque année. Un des meilleurs Hipcamp.
