Our favourite favourite hip camp we have stayed at in Ontario. Host was super friendly and beyond accommodating. This farm is a beautiful quiet oasis. If you love star gazing, bonfires and a woodfired hot tub this is your place.

Another fantastic camp stay at this beautiful farm! We loved our new spot on the property just as much as the last one. From the moment we arrived, the hosts welcomed us back with open arms, making us feel right at home. The magic of this place is all thanks to the incredible hosts who treat every guest like family. We had a great time visiting with the farm animals and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of their barn. The provided firewood was a thoughtful touch that made our nights around the campfire so much easier. The amenities are excellent; the outhouse was impeccably clean, and the dishwashing station made cleanup a breeze. This is truly a special place! <3

Absolutely nothing negative could be said about this trip.
From the host to the land to the location to the amenities - it was the perfect spot.
Micheal - couldn't have had a better host – so friendly and positive and quick to respond – everything you would want in a host.
The land was perfect for many tents (flat) with a nice fire pit and beautiful view of the barn (that was lit up) and the land around.
The location was close to small towns - looking forward to exploring more than what we did on our next booking.
Amenities - from the barn with the record player and ping pong table to the dish washing station to the hot tub (we didn't have time to enjoy but next time!) to the bathroom facility to the volleyball court to feeding the horses and sheep and the vegetable basket received on arrival.
All around it was perfect and exactly what we needed. Looking forward to our next trip up there.

What a beautiful spot this is! Michael and Jenny’s care for the Land and creating something beautiful on it really emanates all around you in every step you take. It was a pleasure to meet them, and to support the great work they are doing, and their lovely little family! Lots to cool stuff to see and do in the area, too!

Camped with a group of 10, lots and lots of tent room! The land was absolutely gorgeous, spacious and very well upkeept. Theres a beautiful barn to hangout with that has lights when it gets dark, a ping pong table and lots of chairs and tablespace for meals. The flowers grown theyre are so pretty and the animals are so cute! They had a wood-burning hot tub and small cold plunge, super nice toilets and a shower, all with working water as well as a new outhouse installed that was nice. Theres some waterfalls super close by too. I highly recommend here, the stay was amazing, the host Michael is so friendly and the whole experience went so perfectly for our group! ❤️

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Mike and Jen's farm! The property is idyllic – on top of the camping experience, you really can't beat playing the piano in a century-old barn – and Mike and Jen were incredibly helpful and generous hosts. Our kids loved meeting the animals and had a blast in the hot tub "pool". I hope we get to visit again in years to come!

What an incredible place! Mike was so welcoming and this place had a bit of everything. Such a great experience camping next to the animals, having that barn to hang out in, and still be in nature. I would actually go back there. Super kid friendly, super dog friendly

Our stay at this organic farm was absolutely incredible and an unforgettable experience! From the get-go, our host made us feel so welcome and at home - he made us feel like part of the family. The property is breathtaking—spacious, serene, and surrounded by nature in the best way. You really get to unplug and soak in the peaceful vibes.
The highlight of our trip was definitely the boat ride our host took us on—such a special experience! It was such a thoughtful and unique addition to the experience—we’ll remember it for a long time. It felt like the perfect way to see the beauty of the land from a whole new perspective. His family was equally amazing, making the whole experience even more memorable, their hospitality added so much warmth to the entire trip.
One of the other special parts of the trip was watching the animals from the barn. It was such a heartwarming experience to see them up close, and it added such a cozy, rustic charm to our stay.
If you're looking for a unique and genuine farm stay with incredible hosts, this is the spot! Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Michael’s farm! The highlight was definitely the hot tub and cold plunge for me. We also loved spending time in the charming barn, just relaxing and watching the farm animals. Having a shower and toilet was a huge plus, and Michael was incredibly nice and welcoming. Highly recommend for a peaceful and unique getaway!

Camping on Micheal's land was amazing! We always camped at Provincial Parks and decided to try Hipcamp Farm camping for the first time and was more than pleasantly surprised! There is lot's to do on the Farm plus we took Micheal's new boat tour of the local area. What an amazing experience that was! Great hosts and great experiences! Highly recommended!

Michael’s farm is the perfect place for a serene getaway! We only stayed in one night but easily could have stayed much much longer. Michael was a wonderful host and was so enthusiastic about the land and making us feel welcome. We enjoyed watching the horses, having a fire, and picking strawberries! I would recommend this camp to anyone :)

Loved camping at Michael and Jenny’s farm. Magical property. Beautiful, simple set up. You have access to a sink with cold water, an outdoor shower and a bathroom. The wood fired hot tub and cold plunge were awesome. The kids loved the big open space, the chickens and the horses. There’s a little area with soccer nets and a volleyball net which was a blast to use. We’d definitely stay again :)

They are by far the warmest and most welcoming hosts I’ve ever met.
They always put their guests comfort first and never hesitate to take the time to share about their beautiful land.

We had the most amazing time camping here! Mike really went above and beyond to look after us from start to finish and we couldn't have asked for more - it was great learning about the farm and meeting the animals during our stay, and waking up to fresh eggs from the hens was a real treat! Relaxing in the hot tub under the stars with the sound of wolves howling in the far distance was truly unforgettable and the highlight of an incredible experience in a beautiful setting. We hope to be back again soon next time we're in the area!

Wonderful property! Fantastic animals and Organic gardens! Michael was the perfect host. An added compliment - Mike gave us a huge bowl of freshly picked organic vegetables from his garden. A very nice young couple with a baby on the way!

Our family absolutely loved camping with our young kids and dog at this farm! The kids loved fetching their eggs for breakfast and visiting the animals, and we loved the candle- lit, log fire heated hot tub at night after the kids went down for bed! Probably my husband’s and my favourite part. It was a gorgeous location, beautiful fields, quiet starry nights, and the barn with an old piano and vintage artifacts was a charming space to enjoy the rainy weather. Even the outdoor bathroom was clean and nice! The hosts were an incredibly humble, kind and welcoming young family, and now new friends of ours! We will be back for sure.

My wife and I loved staying at the little farm that could!!! Michael and Janny are the perfect hosts. Easy going, and friendly and they'll take the time to give you a tour or answer any questions. We were greeted with flowers and food from their garden!
This is why we love hipcamp. It allows to connect with farmers, and discover their world. Thank you again for your hospitality! Oh, and they have lots of animals around the farm (horses, chickens, sheep, cats) we got to meet :). Strongly recommend.

Michael and Janessa were such charming and warm people! Their farm is beautiful and their pride in ownership is evident.
It was an outstanding experience camping at their functional farm for my son and his friends. I was told it was a "cleansing" adventure unplugging from technology, appreciating living off the land and of course the solitude, scenery and stars!
Cannot thank Michael and Janessa enough and we WILL be coming back now that we know where you are!

This campsite is the perfect private little spot if you’re looking for something quiet and peaceful. Michael and Jenn are amazing and gave us a great tour of their farm, harvest garden, and even let us hangout in their barn when the weather wasn’t co-operating. Very close to both Hastings and Campbellford which are perfect little escapes with nothing but nice people throughout. Favourite part was hanging out with the horses and sheep, and getting fresh eggs for breakfast from the chicken coop. Will be going back again yearly as we grow our family

Micheal’s property where we camped was incredibly beautiful, pride of ownership can be seen at every corner. The space is very secluded, near a creek, lots of privacy and huge field for dogs or children to play and run around, it is even equipped to play volley ball, soccer and do some weights! Nighttime was breathtaking, slept in the midst of the stillness of nature with thousands of stars to gaze upon. Michael is an amazing host too, he welcomed us, gave us options to choose from the 2 sites that would be preferable and showed us around his farm and the animals, delicious organic vegetables are sold here as well. He even provided BBQ for us to use. Will not hesitate to recommend this place to other campers, it is a wonderful place to camp!

My stay at the farm was incredible. Beautiful property and hosts were fantastic. I got a tour of the farm and spent time with the animals. My site was huge - great fire pit and picnic table. There is a creek on site which would be a great site for a tent.
There was a wide space with a volleyball net and soccer equipment which was a nice touch. Cutest little outhouse close by the site and was given the green light to explore the farm and the animals at any time. I received a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a huge bag of fresh veggies all from the farm of course. There are also tons of hiking trails near by and a boat launch about 5 mins away. No shortage of things to do here and I would highly recommend staying here. I can’t wait to bring my daughter with me next summer - she will fall in love with the miniature ponies.

Jenessa and Michael were amazing hosts. They are super sweet and even gave us a welcome care package that included their own grown organic produce and pretty flowers. They gave us a very informative tour of their farm and were even given the opportunity to feed their sheep and harvested carrots. The camp site, near a creek, was super spacious, quiet and relaxing. Highly recommend this Sanctuary and can’t wait our next visit! Thank you Jenny and Michael!

The land at Michael and Jenny’s is absolutely charming. It has a stream, wooded area, playing field and lovely vegetable and flower gardens as well as the original homestead and fabulous barns. The property is well maintained and the outhouse with flush toilet and running water is a great perk. Michael went above and beyond by provided us with additional options to park our vintage trailer on our maiden voyage as we were unsure what to expect on our first time out. We nestled in between the barns and it was magical. We had a full moon and caught some of the shooting stars all while enjoying the evening with our delightful hosts by campfire. We even got to take part in putting the sheep to bed.
The organic vegetables and flowers produced on the land are incredible. We are planing to go to the market in Toronto to visit our hosts and pick up more yummy veggies and flowers. The flowers Jenny picked for us have gone everywhere with me for over a week now. I can’t say enough about our stay and I’m still talking about it after going to provincial parks the week after. I highly recommend a stay at Michael and Jenny’s farm and we look forward to visiting again the year.

What a great retreat! Our hosts gave us a warm welcome along with their 2 Roosters! A beautiful private property with wide open spaces, a forest and meandering creek complete with friendly horses and sheep and beautiful flower/vegetable gardens! Perfect spot to kick back and relax or take a 6 minute drive to Westben to catch a concert just a short drive to Campbellford. We had a great tour of the working farm and were able to pet the animals as well as enjoy fresh season vegetables that our gracious hosts dropped by for us to enjoy! Welcoming, friendly, peaceful tranquility await you here at the sanctuary! We highly recommend this spot and look forward to returning again next year!

We loved our stay at the Organic Farm Sanctuary. Michael and Jenny were so welcoming and informative. They showed us around their property, let us pet and feed the animals, and even treated us to some of their farm grown produce. The camping space was large, private and with all things you would need including a grate on the fire for cooking and a large picnic table. The outhouse had running water and a flushing toilet, and the sports area with a volleyball net and soccer nets was a nice perk. We would love to stay at their farm again and highly recommend it to others. There’s lots to see in the local area including a waterfall and a small beach on the Trent river.
