Hemlock Point Campground

We loved it! We had the Hemlock Point site which was wonderful. So many things included. Firewood, propane bbq but also horseshoes, bocce ball, badminton, soccer and volleyball and board games! Plus a canoe with paddles and lifejackets. We hiked the trails and even saw otters. :) checked out the swimming hole, canoe rides with all the lily pads and frogs, and campfires with tons of stars. So peaceful- we really enjoyed our stay. Darci has thought of everything. Good job.

We had such a wonderful camping experience here! The site was absolutely beautiful, private, and very clean, with a gorgeous creek that really made the whole setting feel peaceful and relaxing. The host went above and beyond with the little details. There was a covered area with a table and cooking supplies, which made things so much more convenient, especially when spending the day outside. The outhouse was also exceptionally clean and thoughtfully stocked with emergency supplies in case you forgot something. You can really tell that a lot of care has gone into making the site comfortable and welcoming. We had a fantastic stay and would absolutely love to come back!

I loved that everything was there we brought our small trailer but Daric had everything ready when we got there. Right down to newspaper and a lighter to start the fire. The outhouse was very clean.not like you typical outhouse. Very quiet just what we need to escape.

Great camp site!

We loved the quiet and tranquillity of the site and all of the extra amenities that were provided. It was easy to find and the fact that it had a loop was perfect for my Ford F150 and a 13 foot airliner pop-up camper. The stars were great at night and the host was kind enough to provide firewood as well. We will definitely be back.

Secluded Paradise by the Creek

We absolutely loved Daric’s campsite! It was beautiful and incredibly peaceful. The river and babbling brook provided the perfect white noise for sleeping, and the parking was just over 75 feet from the tent pad, ideal for tenting. We spotted 3+ tent pads along the back trail, giving plenty of options. The covered, screened cooking area was fantastic, and the heavy tarp kept us dry during a short burst of rain. The outhouse was clean, the site was well stocked, and there was plenty of firewood. We forgot our extension cord and received a quick response with several options, including the ideal solution at the neighbouring site. The neighbours were much farther away than expected (perfect for our love of seclusion!) and incredibly friendly. We explored Ridgeview and Hemlock Point as well. Both great neighbouring sites with lots of space and direct water access for canoes. The bikes and kayaks were a fun bonus and gave us lots to explore. Just a note that the kayaks need to be carried or driven to the main water, as we weren’t able to access it directly through the creek from the site. We also tackled the inner part of the orange hiking trail, which was a great challenge and definitely left us out of breath in spots. This site offered incredible value and so much to explore in just one day. We were already planning our next visit shortly after arriving!

Nice spot, but not quite as secluded as I had originally expected. While our dogs were able to be off-leash for our entire stay, the road was busier than I had imagined, with quite a few trucks towing ATVs, as well as ATVs themselves, passing by. That said, we had a great time camping at Ridgeview and really appreciated all of the amenities that were included: the BBQ, cooking pots, pans and utensils, the well-tarped (and waterproof!) kitchen tent, lifejackets, and the extra balls and toys for the kids. Those thoughtful touches made the stay even more enjoyable. The Ridgeview site is a bit limited when it comes to flat areas for pitching tents. If you're bringing multiple tents and expecting a rainy weekend, just be aware that one of the flattest spots is also where water tends to pool. We have a good-quality tent and stayed dry, but I thought it was worth mentioning for future campers. The outhouse was honestly one of the nicest I've ever used! I actually caught myself lingering in there, browsing the books and reading all of the camp information posted - LOL. We didn't end up swimming because the weather wasn't in our favour and we were camping with toddlers. After checking out the swim area, it didn't feel like the best fit for little ones, so that's something other families with young children may want to keep in mind. Overall, we had a wonderful weekend. Thanks for your hospitality, Daric!

Wonderful place to camp so peaceful. Daric was a wonderful host helped with everything awesome sitting by fire on pond so many great memories. The hiking trail was amazing and swim hole. Had a great time thanks for time away from home . Be sure to book again soon. Hemlock point campsite was amazing lots of space for everything. 10/10

It was so peaceful. We did get rained out the second day. The gazebo saved the day. We had a couple camp fires. Watched the otter., listened to the bull frogs. Took a hike. Definitely will book this site again. A nee favorite spot.

Sweet getaway

Daric was an awesome host... I was 3 hours out after driving all night, Daric suggested that I could wait at his place, if the other campers were still at Hemlock site. The sight was amazing a piece of paridise. It was not only a large space,peaceful and tranquil. It also had a number of unexpected amenities. There was an outhouse, an outdoor sink, bikes & helements, dishes, tent, games, a gazebo, canoe, 2 fire pits, wood, chairs,horseshoes, books, a hamock,ect... There is a walking trail around the area, lots of birds and if you are as lucky as I was, you can watch the beaver, add a stick or 2 to his hut. I would highly recommend this place, if you want to have a little bit of relaxation in nature... Thank you Daric..

Very peaceful spot to camp. Great trail to hike and you can tell Daric puts time and effort into taking care of his land. Canoe provided is a nice touch to explore a bit but there’s a portage not too far down the river. Spot is closer to the road but it’s a dead end road with not too much traffic. Overall we really enjoyed our weekend and would go back again.

Darci’s property is absolutely beautiful, peaceful, and the perfect place to relax. We really appreciated all of the amenities provided, including the toilet, BBQ, firewood, screened-in sitting area, and canoe—they made our stay even more comfortable and enjoyable. and the detailed maps with local suggestions. If you’re familiar with the area, you’ll know that the road leads to a popular ATV/four-wheeling destination. Because of that, there is occasional traffic throughout the day, but we didn’t find it took away from the overall experience. Be prepared for bugs—it’s part of camping in a beautiful natural setting! Nothing out of the ordinary, and our bug spray was more than enough to keep them manageable. Like others have mentioned, there is a hill where you’ll park your vehicle and walk down to access the campsite. We found it very manageable, and it didn’t take away from our experience at all. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would happily visit again. We would definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a peaceful camping getaway.

Beautiful camp site , with diverse activities in nature . Would absolutely recommend taking the trails the owner cleared up to explore the woods. Theres a cute swim hole to visit and fishing spots that were beautiful . Lots of wildlife to see . The owner Daric was super kind and insightful about the area . He has equipment available for use on each site and each with unique features and set ups . We are definitely planning to return. An absolutely beautiful spot with a great host .

Great for group visit

This is my second time camping at Hemlock point, this time my group went to Brookside. There was an ample amount of space and we were able to set up 6 tents and two hammocks. The campsite was well stocked with firewood, propane, toilet paper and anything else you might need camping. We visited the swimhole and the water was perfect, we were able to catch a couple fish too. Definitely recommend staying here :)

We had an amazing stay! This place had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing camping trip. The toilets were clean, and the campsite was very well maintained. It was fully equipped with kayaks, fishing rods, utensils, a grill, a canopy, and convenient garbage bins, making our stay easy and enjoyable. The property owner, Daric, was such a wonderful and accommodating host. He was friendly, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The peaceful surroundings made it the perfect getaway, and we had such a great time. We’re already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fantastic camping experience!

Really lovely spot to get away from it all. Nice set up and appreciated the automatic light in the outhouse at night. One thing to be aware of is, the bull frogs are loud at night but fun to watch lol.

Roof top tent maiden voyage

10/10 this was exactly what I was looking for! The site was very clean and well maintained, very spacious, and, even though you are pretty close to the other sites/dwellings, you feel very secluded. The parking pad for this site is set up the hill by the road but is nice and level and HUGE, loads of room for multiple vehicles or campers. Outhouse is clean, garbage/ recycling conveniently located nearby. Having the screened shelter was a huge bonus when it rained. Though I didnt use it, having the BBQ is great on site. It was really nice to hike the little trail across from the sites, they were well marked and easy to navigate. Daric went out and trimmed the trail just before i hiked which was awesome. There were virtually ZERO bugs my whole stay (mid June... unheard of) but I will attribute this to the entire place being run by the bullfrog mafia (maybe bring ear plugs if you dont absolutely LOVE frog songs) Daric's big friendly dog did come to visit me and my dogs a few times, he was welcome to join in on the group swimming activities but Daric came and retrieved him readily each time. I would say maybe if youre concerned or have a dog who isnt good with dogs (or intact males) to just let Daric know in advance, Im certain he would be accommodating, but the dog was very docile with my obnoxious dogs who were all significantly smaller than him. Definitely plan to come back, really great location cant think of a single complaint other than the 4 hour drive 🤣

The site was fantastic. Nice, quiet and plenty of forest for frolicking and funnery of all kinds. It may be a close to the "road", but its very private and secluded. Daric was responsive and brought the groovy vibes. We would go again. Fo sho Anyone looking for a call and relaxing time should book
