Located only 1 hour +/- to Ottawa or Kingston! This property provides great access to a secluded level campsite surrounded by mature hardwoods and white pine, overlooking Fagan Lake. There is an outhouse and firepit on-site, with firewood included (please don't bring your own firewood). Supplied Adirondack and other lawn chairs will really make your campfires special! Pets on leash are welcome. Tents, camper trailers and RVs up to 20 feet are welcome. This is a level pull-in site. There is a covered post-and-beam picnic shelter on site for rainy days. A supplied BBQ, a large kitchen prep table, and a small round dining table complete the "glamping" feel. There's always a full 18 litre jug of drinking water on site, although we recommend that you also bring your own water. Access to a secluded lake which is about 2.5 km x 0.5 km in size, and connected to Bennett Lake by the Fall River. The lake is rugged and remote - only 8 cottages on the whole lake. Swimming off the dock, or paddle over to the jumping rocks across the lake. Bring your canoe or kayak and explore the lake and wetlands. Or bring your mountain bikes and enjoy the backroads. This property is in the heart of Lanark County, with all amenities within a 20-minute drive. Lots of hiking trails nearby, and a nice sand beach at Silver Lake Provincial park 10 minutes away. We're not far from Murphy's Point and Sharbot Lake PP as well. If you like dark skies and quiet woods and going to bed listening to frogs and barred owls, or waking up with the woodland birds, this is the place. Firewood provided, firepit. Township camp fire rules indicate no fires greater than 3' x 3' x 3' (ie no bonfires). Be respectful of the supplied wood pile and enjoy the campfire

A classic two-holer outhouse on site

Pets allowed

On leash. Prefer dogs to be on a leash when not at the campsite itself. There are deer, porcupines, and other critters close by, so always a good idea to keep your pet safe and under your control

Showers available

Hot water . This is a rustic shower operating from a 12V battery - so not really designed for daily use. But a great way to wash off the sun screen or bug spray. Ask for operating instructions on check-in

Cooking equipment present

Grill over firepit, bbq. Large surface table for food prep and cooking. Place any campstoves on the metal covering. Propane BBQ works, but bring your own BBQ lighter

Picnic table present

There are two picnic tables. One is placed farther away from the campsite, but can be moved over for larger groups

No potable water

Bring your own water, purify from hose. A water tote on the hill delivers useable water to the site washing, dousing fires, etc

Pack it out

If you prefer, you can leave your garbage with us, but it has to be in clear garbage bags (township requirement). We encourage recycling too.

We had a great stay at Fagan Lake Heights! The campsite was peaceful, private, and a beautiful place to relax and enjoy some time outdoors. Everything was as expected, and the site had a really nice atmosphere and was fully equipped with everything we could need! We enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back again. Thanks to the host Eric for having us! 🌲⛺️

Amazing escape to Fagan Lake!

12 ft pop-up camper

Amazing! When looking to book a mini getaway, we searched specifically for a site that was private, had waterfront access, and wasn’t too far from home, and this place checked every box! Eric has truly thought of everything. He has carefully curated such a beautiful space. It was just us and the wilderness, with no one else around! Our dog had a blast down at the waterfront jumping off the dock. It was so peaceful and calm, and the setup is great for swimming / fishing, relaxing, whatever! We loved having the covered area for cooking and staying dry when the rain rolled in. This is a spot you’ll want to check out ☺️We’ll definitely be back!

This has been the fourth year in a row that our group of friends end the year summer here. Great site, and Eric is an awesome host. Fun to talk to and down to earth. He’ll come in to check on you at the beginning to show you the ropes, and then leave you alone unless you have an issue. Highly recommend this location, you won’t be disappointed. Looking forward to 2027.

Great location and lot size with a lot of privacy. The water was perfect temperature and there's near spots to explore on kayaks or paddle boards. The host was great at welcoming us and provided support throughout our stay.

If you're looking for a campsite that truly has a bit of everything, this is the place! The campground is wonderfully secluded and thoughtfully set up, complete with a great gazebo and a clean outhouse. We loved the well-shaded tent sites—the gravel-covered ground provided a fantastic, level base that made setting up our large inflatable tent an absolute breeze. One of the highlights was the outdoor hot shower, which felt like a luxury after a day outdoors. The property sits by a quiet, peaceful stretch of Fagan Lake, and just hanging out by the dock was incredibly relaxing. Above all else, the hospitality is what makes this spot truly special. Eric is incredibly welcoming and super fun to chat with . Hr genuinely goes out of his way to make sure his guests have a memorable stay. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Back again!

This was our second, and not our last time camping at Fagan lake. The site is ideal for us: gazebo for shelter, full size BBQ, firewood included, lake access with canoes, but most of all it is private and spacious. Eric is a wonderful host, checking to see if we needed anything and even dropping off some books we might be interested in. We simply love it here!

Why bother booking any other site?

3rd time staying at Eric's Hipcamp. 4th time is booked for next weekend. Despite summertime, fishing was great and we also managed to catch a few of the Perseids meteors at night after dinner. Eric is also an extremely generous and gracious host. Could not recommend more highly.

I cant say enough great things about this place! The location is amazing, lots of forest to explore food shade coverage for your tent area and a short walk down to the water dock. Perth is only about 25 minutes away so if you forget anything its not far out of the way to go to grab things. Good cell service. Eric has put a lot of time and effort into making this space a more luxury camping location. The outdoor shower and well built outhouse were a treat compared to some places. The dogs and I had an amazing time even with the weather not fully on our side. Eric let me put my tent under the shelter when a risk for a big storm came through, he also helped boost my car out in the morning at check out. Having water at our site with pumps was another nice luxury to have camping. I cant wait to book another stay here in the future and share it with some friends!

We had the best stay at Fagan Lake! Eric was a wonderful host and made us feel so welcome. The site had everything we needed and felt incredibly private and secluded, which was exactly what we were looking for. Our dogs absolutely loved jumping off the dock and swimming all day. We left feeling relaxed and already talking about our next trip. We’ll definitely be back!

We are repeat guests to this incredibly beautiful and peaceful site. Lots of sounds of nature, well-equipped site with covered area if it rains and bbq for cooking. Great firepit as well and quick walk to the fantastic lake for swimming. Eric and Barb are wonderful hosts and I hope they will have us back yet again!

Eric’s campsite was exactly what we were looking for—peaceful, secluded, and incredibly relaxing. Tucked away from everything, it truly felt like a complete escape from the noise and pace of everyday life. We were able to fully disconnect and just enjoy the quiet surroundings and nature. The setting is beautiful and private, making it perfect for anyone wanting a calm, uninterrupted getaway. Everything was as described, and Eric has clearly put care into maintaining the space. We had an amazing stay and left feeling refreshed and recharged. We would absolutely come back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serene retreat

Amazing! Sooo private. Very easy to get to. We hip camp a lot and this site wins. Easy access to the lake. Great swimming. Since the lake is small the water wasn’t too cold. The rain shelter was so helpful as it rained for us. And the BBQ and shower were a nice extra touch to have. Bathroom was clean. Lots of space for tents and yard games. Eric was an amazing host!! My boyfriend brought his 16ft motor boat and Eric came down with his truck to help us launch and bring it back in. He also was fast and responsive! We will be back forsure and highly recomend for a more private “glamp” experience!

My wife and I spent the weekend here and it was amazing. The campsite right beside the covered cooking area and fire pit was perfect. Sun comes through the trees throughout the day and keeps enough shade so you’re not over-cooking in the sun. Short walk to the water, we spent hours on the dock feeling like the only ones on the lake. It’s really private, as the last property on the lake you don’t have to worry about constant boats coming by. The site itself truly makes you feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere, but with the convenience of being able to drive right up. Eric was a great host, and answered any questions we had promptly. Kept the site clean and well stocked. Gave us a run down when we arrived and was very nice. We will 100% be back again, hopefully this summer.

Fagan lake is private and peaceful!

The site is PRIVATE! Just what we were looking for and the outhouse and pavilion are both palatial and made camping in the rain less of a challenge. The weather kept us to one day on the water but the lake is clean and peaceful. The woods are lovely and full of birdsong and critters to observe. We didn’t see the beavers but the local porcupine made an appearance. Eric is a great host! Responsive, available and knowledgeable of things to do in the area which we found helpful.

Went with my pup and had a great time. Lots of space for him to roam. The spot is gorgeous and host was amazing, brought lots of firewood and water! Kitchen setup with table and lots of seating was super handy! Washroom was also very clean and well maintained! Dock and water entry was super nice, definitely a nice place for canoe/fishing. Overall great trip, definitely would recommend :)

12 ft travel trailer

Beautiful location, it’s as quiet as the description makes it out to be. The campsite area that was provided was well kept and tidy. Some of the amenities were not available due to the lateness of the season and were disclosed prior to arrival. It’s a pull-in site that I feel limits the overall length of vehicle and trailer to get brother location so I’d recommend you check with the host about that if you’ve got a larger rig and may need to coordinate things. I’m relatively new to backing in trailers and I got it parked without any damage (and no spotter). I didn’t have an opportunity to explore the land as much as I wanted, there’s so much to explore. Eric was very welcoming, and provided ample firewood.

Our 3rd visit was as beautiful as our first two visits. The squirrels, owls, loons, deer, snakes, and toads were exciting to see and hear. Staring quietly into the woods was mesmerizing. We love the peaceful place and privacy. Eric keeps the place in great shape, and goes the extra distance to help with any questions or problems.

This was our second time visiting Eric's camp site. Weather was cool at night but we were lucky that the fire ban was lifted and that there was lots of firewood to keep us warm. It is such a great spot to enjoy with friends, we had a great time floating on the clear lake, watching all the fish. There are some deeper spots and a jumping rock which was good for swimming. We were lucky to experience a meteor shower while we were there and the dock provided great viewing. Eric was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. Already looking forward to coming back!

Beautiful wooded campsite completely to yourself. We stayed with our dog and cat and had a wonderful time. Great amenities (gazebo, shower, double outhouse). Campsite is right above the lake (5 minutes walk away). Host was very friendly.
