Lovely spot right by the River on Paul's land. My friend and I pitched our tents on site #2 and had plenty of space to enjoy while also being completely seperated from the other sites.
This space offers the ease of car camping with the feel of backcountry - aside from the noise of cars near by (which didnt not bother us in the slightest, especially when sleeping at night)
I would love to stay here again and am so thankful that Paul has created this space to share with others.

Great stay camping on Paul’s land. Paul came and chatted with us for a bit, and he was very friendly and welcoming. The spots are clearly marked, which made it easy to find our campsite. We had site #3, which was just a few steps to the beautiful Irondale river. We swam, kayaked and fished in the river, and it was all great. Our site had room for our tent, canopy, two cars, and it had lots more room to set up games and such. Our site also had an outdoor toilet, but we brought a camping toilet to use instead. We wore the mosquito repellent stickers on our clothes for the first time and will not camp without them again, as they worked very well. Furnace falls was just a few minute drive from Paul’s land, and had beautiful views. There’s a town with some stores and places to eat not far from Paul’s land, which was where I was able to get service on my phone. Overall, we had a great stay on Paul’s land and would definitely recommend it. We’ll be back for sure :)

Thank you for hosting us this weekend. You have a beautiful property, site #1 was absolutely spectacular. We had an amazing time despite the fire ban. At night, we still enjoyed just watching the river. We can't wait to return. The property is extremely well maintained, clear signage directing you. Swimming hole was very refreshing. Even the dog had so much fun. Only caution for other travelers, Bell/Telus very poor cell reception if you are relying on coverage. Other than that, 10/10. Thanks again.

Amazing experience by the river

The location was amazing. The river is calm that you won't know where upstream vs downstream is. The sites are also far enough from each other giving a sense of privacy and isolation. Just note that there is no proper toilet or porta potties, but that's part of the experience.
Our only issue was the the host was not responsive at the time we got to the site. We also wanted to get an extension if possible, but no response.
Note that it was a long weekend and that may be the reason.

Riverview Getaway was absolutely perfect for our girls Getaway.The site Paul chose for us was amazing, very large site that accommodated us 7 ladies and beautiful view of the river. The swimming area is small but nice beach sand to walk into the river and swim. We kayaked everyday. The Irondale River is an easy paddle and beautiful. Paul is a wonderful host and made sure everything was perfect. We would definitely come back. Thank you Paul. Cheers.
PS...the fry truck in Irondale (Ted's Burger Wagon) was delicious and only 4 minute drive away.

Camping at Paul’s was amazing. He was very kind & welcoming upon meeting. The site we were on was on the river - I don’t think they all are, but every site is a literal 1-2 min walk to a small sandy area where you can get into the river (including ours). We were spoiled with good views, and lots of good birding. Primitive camping indeed, one shared outhouse on the property, no running water, but that’s totally fine with us. Like camping in Algonquin. Though there were other folks there at the same time we seldom heard them so it felt super private. 4 mins drive towards Irondale there’s a convenience store, burger/chip truck, hot dog stand and ice cream. It really was a beautiful trip - thank you Paul!

Wow, what an epic adventure we had at Paul’s campsite over the Victoria Day long weekend! This place is a hidden gem—perfectly secluded for that intimate vibe yet just steps from the road and a stunning river that’s calling your name. We brought our inflatable kayaks and had an absolute blast paddling through the crystal-clear, tranquil waters—pure bliss! Paul swung by on day two to say hi, and let me tell you, his warm welcome and great conversation totally made our trip! The site itself? Pristine, natural, and downright magical. Whether you’re a couple craving a cozy retreat or a big family ready to sprawl out (Paul’s got a massive site for larger groups too!), this spot is a must-visit. Highly recommend for an unforgettable camping experience—huge thanks to Paul for keeping it so wild and spotless!

This was our first experience with Hipcamp and we were extremely satisfied! Paul is a very friendly host. Even offered additional nights stay if we’d like! We stayed in site #2 (very large) with a beautiful view of the river and tons of space for our pup to roam and run around! LOTS of mosquitos so thankfully had bug spray and a little road noise but aside from that, we enjoyed our stay thoroughly!

Nice spot. Unfortunately, we were charged an extra $100 for moving a picnic table from the other site we booked to the site we were using (despite the host not mentioning anything about it when he came to check on us and saw the picnic table moved). So, don’t move picnic tables… Additionally, there is no where to dispose of garbage, so be prepared to take your garbage bags with you at the end.

Camping on Paul’s land was great. We saw a bunch of Mergansers (diving ducks) in the river. Lots of space and flat spots for tents. Great view of the stars with no light pollution. Picnic table came in handy.

We had a great time at Paul's campsite! Sites are very large and very private. The falls are only a few minutes away, and the river was great for floating. We also caught a few small fish in the river.
We would definitely come back! We did have a miscommunication about sites, so I would reccomend confirming site numbers with Paul prior to setting up as we did have to move, but overall it didn't stop us from enjoying our weekend.

What a beauty . The sites are massive and completely private . You can very easily park a 35 ft camper right along the river with tons of extra space to set up camp . Hosts popped by to say hello , lovely people and then that was it back to privacy . Have been to a lot of places , this is the one . Make sure you go to the waterfall for a swim or picnic , literally 1 min drive away .
This is the one , treat it well .

Our stay at Pauls River Getaway was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the host who was incredibly friendly and accommodating. He made sure we were settled in and answered all our questions about the area. The campsite itself was nestled riverside, offering a breathtakingly beautiful setting. We loved waking up to the peaceful sound of the river every morning. The primitive outhouse offered great privacy. Additionally, the convenience of being just a 10-minute drive from a store was perfect for any last-minute needs. It struck the right balance between feeling remote and having essential amenities nearby. Overall, we had an amazing time at River Getaway. It's a perfect spot to unwind and reconnect with nature. We would highly recommend it for anyone looking to escape with family and friends. Definitely a 10/10 recommendation!

Loved camping at Paul’s land. There was lots of space to pitch a tent. Views were beautiful especially in the morning and peaceful. Only concern was there were a lot of mosquitoes unfortunately.

Great site for a group. It is close to the hwy but lovely for a get together not concerned about a little traffic noise in the background. The outhouse needs some TLC for the 2024 season (we were the end of March and didn’t expect it to be tended to this early in the season). The site is easy to access and LOTS of clear space surrounded by trees and wooded areas.

Overall we had a great trip because we were together, unfortunately the pictures are misleading. We were expecting a great river view with good access to the river; however, the access was not easy to enter to river and the view of the river was from a small path so from the campsite, you couldn’t really see the river. The falls (2 min car drive) was the highlight of our trip!

All of the three campsites are amazing. I stayed at #1 for the day then moved to #2 when a large group arrived. Site 2 was very quiet and beautiful. I took a hundred pictures. We swam in the river a few times a day.

Great, quiet, peaceful spot. We loved the sun coming up through the trees and the fog rising off the river. Paul dropped by to check on us with his sweet dog. You can get down to the river but it’s super steep, so be cautious with little kids. We appreciated the level surface for parking, the picnic table, and the fire pit. We’d come here again.
