Our 2.5 acre property is located just outside the small village of Millbank. The large lawn area is great for camping, campfires, playing games and relaxing while watching the horse and buggies of the local Amish and Mennonites go ambling by in a manner that speaks to a time gone by. We have now added a Bunkie that can be booked for a more comfortable camping experience. The Perth Harvest Pathway section of the G2G rail trail is quite literally in the backyard. for hiking , bird watching and biking. We have an outdoor shower and large sink in a shed attached to the rear of our garage. It is easy to identify as it has a large white x on the door. We also have a few camping items such as a grill and a few cooking pots and pans in the small shed near the G2G trail

Our Bunkie located within a few meters of the G2G Trail is a more comfortable option than tent camping. A rustic cabin with a built in solar light and solar charging station for your mobile phone. There is a bunk bed with a double bed on bottom and a single on top. There is access to the outhouse style toilet and a shower house with hot and cold shower and a large sink with potable water. You provide your own sleeping bags.

Took my girlfriend up for a weekend getaway john was an amazing host his hospitality went above and beyond our expectations this is a great spot if your biking or hiking the trail behind the property to stop for the night and continue on the whole site is in an open Field so not much privacy however it was a great experience we chatted with some other campers the dog got to run free so all in all 9/10

John provides a beautiful property to camp on, and a nice way to wrap a day of bike packing. The area is quiet and serene, with a beautiful sunset and sunrise. Having an outhouse, and stations with snacks and fresh water was very convenient. I will definitely camp here again if I'm bike packing in the area.

Halfway of the gravel G2G trail

If you are a bikepacker and you are riding the G2G (Guelph to Goderich trail) or you are anywhere close to Millbank... This is your place! The camping spot is basically beside/part of a resting area halfway of the G2G, which is managed by John and his family. Worth to mention: John is part of the board of directors of the G2G also which speaks about his commitment and dedication to his place and everything related with the G2G: lots of space to choose where to set your tent, toilet-water-shower-firewood available, easy to socialize with the (many) trail users, John is always ready to provide answers/suggestions to your requests... Moreover, you don't always have the chance to sleep beside a cemetery... Million thanks John!!

Good communication, nice spot, clean toilet and shower, a nice bench to breakfast. Only downside is the occasional car which seems loud because everything is so silent. We woke up on Sunday morning to horses pulling their buggies. It was a perfect stay for us! Thanks John for hosting us!

Easy camp. A little open-- it's actually a labelled rest stop on the trail-- so it's highly visible from the trail. As a solo female camper I felt a bit exposed, so I just tried to tuck my tend back a bit from the trail. The plus side of the visibility is that it was rediculously easy to find! And it could be social as well I'd you choose to just hang around the seating area by the trail!

I don't think we can say enough about John and Miriam, genuinely the salt of the earth kind've people that were so flexible and kind when we needed to change our reservation a day (we overestimated our ability to make it to Guelph on the G2G). Everyone should make this a MUST STOP on their G2G ride. This stop made our trip and we are hopeful to see John and Miriam again, if not in Milbank, then when we return the favour on a visit to where we're from. 100/10!

Easy access, close to the trail and plenty of room. Host wasn't around and I was unsuccessful to find any water unfortunately. But it is the perfect midway point between Guelph and Goderich along the bike trail.

Comfortable camping on G2G trail

"Cottonwood Manor" on the west edge of Millbank is very well equipped and super clean, and is the only established trailside camping the entire length of the G2G trail. Bonus - it's an easy walk or cycle to Anna Mae's Bakery and Restaurant, for breakfast takeout, or, in my case, a full-on turkey dinner! There's a large manicured lawn for your tent, picnic table and lawn chairs, an enclosed outdoor shower and wash tub with towels/body soap/dish soap, and electrical outlet. Car, truck and horse & buggy traffic through town is very audible, but easy to ignore. 50km from Guelph, 85 km from Goderich, making it a great overnight choice for those wishing to break up their end to end ride.

This is a nice large piece of property. Well groomed . I managed to kill my car battery and John was kind enough to boost it for me. I will be back next year for sure.

Oasis on the G2G Trail

Trailside was like an oasis, offering a bathroom, picnic table, and an opportunity to purchase a variety of drinks and snacks. These services seem to be offered to any hikers or bikers passing by. We booked to stay over night. There was lots of room, and a beautiful fire pit (with firewood). The shed with the shower has potable water and a large sink. It was a hot sunny day, and we sat in the shade under the huge solar panel. The breeze was heavenly! The only imperfection was the noise coming from the farm just across the trail. But it quieted down around 8pm (and started again the next morning). I would stay there again in a heartbeat!
