Beautiful Rocky Beach on the shore of Lake Ontario. Southern Exposure. Soft patch of grass for you to pitch your tent. Gradual shallow water to put your kayak, canoe, or paddleboard in. As long as there are no fire bans, you can have a great bonfire right on the beach! Beautiful driftwood logs to sit on, water to swim in, and southern exposure sky to gaze at! Parking available. On the Lakeshore; a fantastic spot for cycling. We live on the property 1 acre away. We have 2 friendly dogs! Guests must love dogs; they will make friends with you :)Beautifully situated at the waterfront of the historic March Hotel (operated in 1857), this campsite has southern exposure on Lake Ontario. Space for 1 or 2 tents on the grassy knoll above the beach, access to the rock beach lakeshore, and campfire area. There is a newly built private outhouse with a sink for your use. As long as there are no fire bans in the area, you're able to have a campfire right on the beach. Feel free to bring your own kayaks paddle boards or canoes! * we are not liable for any injury that occurs on our property or in the water. Park in the driveway and walk to your peaceful lakefront site. The Old March Hotel, Port Granby: Early History: The hotel was established by David March, who also worked as a carpenter, builder, postmaster, grain dealer, and general merchant. Multi-Purpose Establishment: The hotel included a bar room, sitting rooms, bedrooms, a six-horse stable, and a driving shed. Present Day: Both the Old March Hotel and March Cottage are now private residences. You can still see the original commercial pier (1850's) under the water on calm days. Come enjoy the rich history on the lake.
