If your dog is not friendly with other humans and dogs unfortunately its not welcome Only 9 minutes from the bruce highway, situated down a quiet dirt road on the side of the beautiful Maroochy River you will find river rd ranch. River rd ranch is at heart of the sunshine coast being only a 10 minute drive to Coolum beach and Yandina, 25 to 30 minutes to noosa, mooloolaba, Maroochydore beaches, Sunshine Plaza, bars and restaurants! Being only 20 minutes to the sunshine coast airport it’s a great opportunity to park up your big or small touring rig to head interstate at short notice if required. This amazing property has views of mt Coolum and mt Nindery with some of the best sunrise and sunsets around. With easy access to the property we can also cater for larger caravans and big groups of people. Being on the river there is option for fishing and crabbing, we are only a few hundred meter walk to the Yandina Creek Wetlands walking trails. Camp Fires are allowed on site. (unless fire bans are in place ) fire wood available 20kg = $20 (cash only sorry due to a few nonpayers) Pets are welcome but we must respect our Neighbours with horses and other campers so must be friendly retrained at all times. Please remember pick up after your fury friends as we have other guests here we have 3 - 4 sites right on the river and another 3 - 4 sites in our paddock with a section allowing our paddock guests to have access to the river to do all activities All waste to be taken away when you leave.

What a wonderful spot right beside the river to fish or catch crabs. Very clean and tidy. Lots of open space to throw the ball to the dogs or just to sit back and watch the tides. Great hosts too.

Loved camping at River Road Ranch

We loved camping at River Road Ranch and will be back. Greg the host is very welcoming, and their bulldog Zena was also an amazing camp companion. You can't get any closer to the river with fishing, water skiers and an aerial stunt show from a local pilot. Campsites were grassy with the benefit of an included firepit - although it was too windy for a fire when we visited :( Thanks Greg and family for opening up your property for campers.

Spent 3 nights at River rd and it was great. Very peaceful and enjoyed our multiple visits by the owners bulldog. Obviously being on a river there are boats etc going past and the occasional plane taking off but if you can't handle that then you shouldn't go camping 😁. The campsites were well maintained with easy access in and out.

Fantastic place right on the river. Water birds everywhere! Huge sites. Super nice family and the most gorgeous doggo too. Will be back for sure.

Three sites right on the river. Site are large and there is some cool fire pits. Away from the main road so no road noise. Good spot to fish right from camp. We picked this Hipcamp over the other nearby ones as this is actually on the river and away from the road and there wasn’t 100 other campers would recommend this one over the other nearby ones

Very nice private spot along the river with only 3 campsites. Greg was super friendly and accommodated our last minute booking due to coming from another site which was very overcrowded down the road. Thanks very much.

Had a great long weekend at River Road Ranch. Large flat mowed grassy area to set up on with views of the river. Lots of bird life, fish jumping, horses in neighbouring property. Felt like we were miles away but with plenty to do close by - visit Yandina -pub lunch was great, Coolum is 20 mins away. Took our dog to Stumers Creek off leash beach & he had a ball. Had intentions of doing Mt Ninderry walk & to fish too. Greg & his family are welcoming & friendly - Zena their dog popped over every day. We did get rain Sat night which left large puddles & bit soggy as there’s been a lot of rain lately, recommend taking good footwear in case.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at River Road. Host are friendly. The campsites are well maintained and the location is close to everything but far enough away to relax. We’ll definitely revisit again.

such a beaut spot on the river with lovely flat camp sites. the location feels remote but everything you need is only 15 minutes away. really welcoming host and still my fave hipcamp 👍just be aware, the bugs are insane at the moment after the cyclone but if you cover yourself from head to toe in spray, they won't carry you off 🤣

We loved our first overnight trip tent camping at the River Rd Ranch. A lovely quiet place on the Maroochy River with ample space on flat ground within your camp-site to play grass games and set up camp also. The Host was very down to earth and gave us good tips on where to fish and where things where located near the camp sites.
