Escape to our privately owned equestrian park, nestled on 20 peaceful acres beside the serene Petrie Creek. This retreat offers a perfect blend of rural charm and comfort, while being so close to town. On the property, you’ll find 13 horses grazing freely, along with 9 friendly goats, including adorable baby goats, 6 chickens, and 2 friendly dogs. Camp riverside down by the creek or on the elevated flat area where the horses graze, perfect for caravans or camper trailers. Firewood is available to purchase when making your booking and collect on arrival. A Porta loo is located between the campsites, and wheelie bins for rubbish and recycling are available. We also provide a bin for any food scraps which goes to our chickens. There’s also a large communal area with a campfire pit, close to the water for a great view, with steps for easy access to the creek, ideal for social gatherings. This communal area has log seating around the fire, hammocks in the trees and sandy tracks to the creek where you can throw in a line. Guests with horses can bring up to two per booking. You may set up a portable yard off your float or request a private paddock, this needs to be arranged in advance. Please note that stallions are not permitted. Horse-related activities, require at least one week’s notice prior to your stay. The creek is tidal, offering opportunities to fish, swim, or explore by stand-up paddleboard or inflatable boat. Pony rides for children are available at an additional cost, payable in cash on the day & subject to availability. Msg Jenna at least 1 week prior to book this. Buckets of goat feed can also be purchased to hand feed the goats during your stay. We currently have 3 kids who are very cuddly and cute with twins due any day now. Our location is gold, just a 2-minute drive from Aldi, Coles, and Woolworths in Nambour, with the Sunshine Plaza just 10 minutes away for shopping, dining, & entertainment. BWS just a K down the road. Equestrians will appreciate the 5-minute drive to Nambour Showgrounds, which features a modern indoor sand arena. A cheap way to keep the kids entertained and cool, head to Nambour Pool which has waterslides & a water park for little ones. Just 5mins away. **STRICTLY NO PETS OR OTHER ANIMALS ALLOWED.**

Please note that this campsite is for tents and camper trailers only. No caravans or motor homes. Only 1 vehicle is permitted at your campsite here but a second vehicle can be parked close by, just along the boundary fence line at the back of campsite 3 you will see a parking sign.

Campsite 3 - The Grazing Grounds ..where hoofbeats roam free. Camping in the heart of the herd — wide skies, open fields, and the rhythm of grazing hooves.” Campsite 3 is a spacious, flat grassy paddock overlooking the common area beside the creek. From here, you’ll enjoy open views down over Campsite 2 and across to the water, while still being tucked just above the creek. A short 30-second walk takes you to the toilet facilities, with steps and a pathway leading directly down to the common area and creek. This site is also one of the best spots for catching the stunning sunsets. Our herd of horses often graze around this paddock, so please keep food securely stored — you may have a curious nighttime visitor. The driveway brings you right to Campsite 3, making it easy to access with a 2WD. With plenty of flat grassy space, it’s perfect for spreading out or kicking a ball around.

Mane Meadow – an elevated, flat grassy area overlooking the creek – offers only 4 exclusive campsites. Each site provides a higher vantage point for sweeping views of the creek from the steep bank below. Privacy & Space: Only 4 bookings at a time, side by side with some space in between. No other campers will be behind your site. Accessibility: Flat land, ideal for caravans or RVs, with plenty of room to turn and maneuver. Facilities: Toilets are a short walk away, approximately 20–50m depending on your site. Tracks leading down the bank to an entrance of the creek for deep water swimming or fishing. Proximity: Just a short stroll to the common area and other two campsites.

Had a great time here with my partner, met some lovely people and had so much fun with all the animals! Jenna is such a lovely host, even came down to hangout with us for a few hours! Loved the ducks they were sooo cute and entertaining 🦆

Our first stay was so lovely we had to come back again. Make sure you don’t miss this amazing spot to stay. Say hi to the farm animals and have a cool off in the creek, we can’t recommend Jenna’s place enough!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I just loved the horses so friendly. Watching the kids enjoy the horse interaction was just beautiful. The creek was great to cool off and relax. Jenna has done a great job. We will definitely be back 🥰

A beautiful place to relax and unwind down at the river. Sadly I had a family with children park their caravan right next to my tent which kept me awake way past midnight - when I wanted a quiet night in nature. But I highly recommend the location.

We had such a great time with our 3 boys. There is plenty of space to set up camp so you still have privacy. The kids had plenty of fun playing in the creek with other kids there, petting the free roaming horses and goats. Jenna was lovely, taking the kids on a horse ride. It is such a fantastic place, would recommend 100%

Amazing location and hosts ! Can get a bit hot duting the day but there are a few shady spots to camp. Pretty close to town and hikes around.

Wonderful weekend away, highly recommend. Jenna was a fantastic host, introducing us to her horses, dogs, goats and ducks. Loved seeing the animals roaming freely and coming up to us. Lots of kayaks to use at the creek as well . We will definitely be back 😊

We had the most wonderful time staying at Horseshoe Hideaway! Jenna and her family were so lovely and welcoming. We loved feeding the goats and having all the friendly horses close by! Such a bonus having an onsite toilet and creek to swim in too. This camp was in such a great location too, super close to the beach and main attractions of the Sunshine Coast but still felt tucked away and private. Highly recommend!

This was our favourite place to camp on our trip up to Hervey Bay from the Central Coast. We loved sharing the paddock with the horses, patting the goats and swimming in the creek. It felt like we were in paradise but still really close to the coast! Jenna is so lovely and welcoming, we highly recommend staying on her beautiful land, especially if you love farm animals!

The sites are well laid out and clearly signed, making it super easy to find your spot. Road noise was minimal, and everything looked well-maintained and cared for. We had a really great weekend here, the host was excellent with communication too. I’ll definitely be back at some stage!

We are new to using hipcamp so weren't sure if horses roaming free meant completely everywhere without horse poo being managed at all. So yeah there is poo all over the ground, for tents or swags its not the best, and also night walking eg to the toilet, or around camp, you will probably be walking in poo, even if its the older kind which is harder to see. I think all of the girls in our camp saved going to the toilet for the shops because the portaloos were extremely smelly. We have long drops in Nz so understand outside toilets smell, but this was something else. And the creek was pretty dirty, probably because they had some rain recently. Also we brought a $15 bag of firewood which was really hard to work with. Basically green, it would not light and took ages and lots of work to get it going. We are not new to starting fires. The boy dog also peed on our swag straight away so a blanket and pillow were lost and also the kids had to smell dog piss for 2 nights. So maybe the boy dog should be contained to be sure he doesn't piss on everyones tents? On a way lighter note, the horses were beautiful and my kids loved them, as well as the goats especially the kids, they were super cute! The kayak was cool and my son and his mate from the tent next door had fun on the bikes. Also the property is quite pretty, waking up in the morning with the mist around the hills was very pretty. I think managing a few things better would make the experience WAY nicer and comfortable!

Lovely campsite, we arrived when it was dark but the fairy lights gave it a beautiful welcoming feel! Met some friendly horses, nice and quiet which is just what we were looking for

Jenna has worked hard to make her land and animals available to the general public to have a camping experience with super friendly goats and horses. We just needed a stop for the night on our way through the Sunshine Coast and it was perfect. The horses came for a pat and then continued munching the grass around us. We took our chairs and wine down to the creek where we watched the night fall and the stars come out. A super pit stop for a nights relaxing- thanks so much !

Overall we had a good experience, it was one of the only cheap options around. However, we had some problems with flies being everywhere (including in our food) after dark, as well as with quite pushy horses trying to steal our food 😂

We stayed for a whole week. Jenna was very welcoming & friendly. Heaps of land space, Very quiet and the river on the property was really beautiful & relaxing. Was also very handy with shops just down the road at Nambour. Would recommend to anyone! We are definitely coming back!

We loved Horseshoe Hideaway, Jenna was so friendly and welcoming. Nothing was a bother to her. Jennas horsemanship is top class and the pony ride on Monopoly was a highlight. There is fishing and swimming in the creel that is tide dependent and so many mullet in the creek at night you can hear them. Bring insect spray and personal insect spray, the flies can be thick if there is no wind. I will definitely be back!

Horseshoe Hideaway Rosemount What a great spot for self contained camping so peaceful even on the busy times. Not to far from Maroochydore, Nambour and beaches a great pub with amazing meals and even better atmosphere. The creek is tidal so also running no still water for mozzie or midges ( however always be prepared for just in case) fire pits provided bags of wood for $15 Horses, goats and dogs are all very friendly. Jenna the host is so accommodating keeping the portable toilets and grounds clean she is a cracker who does not stop. Highly recommended this hipcamp if fully self sufficient for the guests please respect the property and take your rubbish away with you. Happy Campers Mark & Michelle

I enjoyed camping at this site! The sites were a great size and we enjoyed being able to pet the horses. We loved the creek, it was really refreshing to cool you down after a hot day! Also very close to the shops.

We loved finding this last minute camp spot! It was very easy to find and was exactly as described. I loved the animals free roaming through our campsite and I got to pet the goats and kids who were friendly and inquisitive. Location was amazing a few minutes drive into Nambour to Aldi, supermarkets, shops etc. We had a really yummy coffee at Muffin whole in the old fire station, a must to try when visiting. Also was a big fan of the 20-25mins drive to Maroochydore beach, amazing to have surf within close proximity aswell. We will definitely be back to stay at Jenna’s place. Thank you :)

My family of 4 ( two young children 3&5) and my partner absolutely loved our stay here! We initially only stayed for convenience as it was close to a relatives home we came to visit , however we spent way more time than planned because it was so peaceful and fun . We all loved the animals and enjoyed swimming in the creek. Jenna was wonderful and responsive. Toilets were cleanest portaloos i have ever used.
