Welcome to GG's Ranch & Retreat Camping area, a unique farm escape on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Is is the perfect place to base yourself and explore all the beauty that the Sunshine Coast Hinterland has to offer.  We currently only offer one campsite so you will have plenty of space and privacy during your stay. There is a number of walking tracks on the property and a large billabong where you can enjoy swimming and other water activities. There are Geese who often visit the property who you are welcome to greet and feed.  We also have an abundance of bird and wildlife who visit the property and have even been lucky enough to spot a Platypus in the billabong.  Our property is home to a number of Horses and we offer Horse based activities for an additional cost (see our extras) so you can meet them and learn some basic horse riding skills.  We are just 15 minutes from the popular Eumundi Markets and 30 minutes to Noosa main beach.   The site has power and water for your use but you are required to supply your own camping toilet (Please note if you arrive without a toilet you will be asked to leave) and remove all rubbish waste on departure. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash and under owners control at all times.  Campfires are allowed in the fire pit provided and firewood is available at a small additional cost. Please keep your site clean and tidy and respect the natural environment and animals at all times.Welcome to GG's Ranch & Retreat Cabin, a unique farm escape on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. It is the perfect place to base yourself and explore all the beauty that the Sunshine Coast Hinterland has to offer. The front cabin sleeps 2 adults and has 1 bedroom, lounge, dining room, kitchen and modern bathroom. The back cabin which joins on to the front cabin by verandahs sleeps 2 adults. It is two storey,' the upstairs consists of the bedroom, bathroom, reading area and a "Juliette" verandah. Downstairs lounge, dining room, tea / coffee making facilities. Both cabins have King beds. While the cabins a joined they both have their own entrances. The cabins are private from each other, making it ideal for two couples get away NOTE: If you book for two people this is sharing a bed. If you are two people and want separate beds you need to book for three. The cabin is private, it's a quiet haven, perfect for nature lovers looking for a family or couple get away from the city. The cottage is lined with a wide deck looking out to a beautiful tree lined permanent waterway, filled with a multitude of bird life. You’ll also get to enjoy a large outdoor fire pit area (bring your own firewood ), perfect to have a glass of wine at the end of the day. We suggest waking up early and sitting on the outdoor couch with a hot cuppa and watch all the beautiful wildlife: kookaburras, goose, ducks…if you’re lucky you might see our cute resident wallabies and platypus. We have created a timeless cozy atmosphere, by curating beautiful wood furniture, antic artwork and natural materials. The inside of the cottage has been fully restored, mixing reclaimed timber with modern features. Surrounded by lush nature, you can see the beautiful wilderness through every window. Enjoy the open living area, with a fully equipped kitchen, cozy lounge and gorgeous timber feature wall. The bathroom is brand new, with a very large shower and a gorgeous antic basin. We are just 15 minutes from the popular Eumundi Markets and 37 minutes to Noosa main beach.

I flew from Sydney to spend time with my brother and dad as they both love on the Sunshine Coast. We had booked another place prior and it got cancelled on us the day before as they had doubled booked. My brother and I frantically looked online trying to find a place, when we came across this one. It was even better than what we had originally booked! The place was so beautiful and beyond what we imagined. On arrival Anthony, Cass and Winnie (they're cute dog) greeted us and showed us around. They were all so friendly and made us feel at home straight away. The adjoining cottages were perfect, the land was lush and green with many trees and the lake was full of wonderful birdlife. At night we all sat by the fire, eating dinner and listening to my dad's favourite songs. In the day we went on adventures and came home to relax in the wonderful cottages. Sitting on the veranda with a cuppa and taking in the misty mornings was a great way to start the day too. Thanks for having us, we definitely made some great memories that will be cherished forever!

What a gem of a spot for a couples weekend away! The bed was super comfortable, and I slept like a dream. The cabin was a good distance from any other homes, which made it feel like our own peaceful retreat. The birdwatching was a real highlight, with water birds gathering at the billabong and amazing black cockatoos flying overhead in the afternoons. Such a special place to reconnect with nature and each other. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind and soak up the serenity!

It’s a lovely place. Quiet and peaceful. I had a good time disconnected and reenergised. I travelled alone and arrived late at night. Anthony and Cas check on me when passed the original ETA and came to the gate to wait for me in the dark which was amazing. It’s a magical where you can watch the sunrise, sunset, moon rise and moon set.

Such a beautiful peaceful retreat. We loved staying here, sitting on the verandah of a morning was a highlight. We had friends camping close by so this was such a great place to stay, the area is lovely. Not far from Imbil township for great bakery treats. Friendly hosts and animals around the property we thoroughly enjoyed it. Would love to come back.

We had a great time at GG’s retreat over the weekend! It was exactly what we were looking for - a relaxing getaway close enough to visit a few wineries and enjoy the open pit fire 🔥 when we got back. Super comfy bed, gorgeous sunsets, all in all thoroughly recommended! Thanks Anthony and Cas, we’ll be back!

We loved the outdoor firepit as it was covered and great to use during a rainy day. The land was amazing so peaceful and quiet. The bed was very comfy and the bathroom was updated with a nice big shower.

The beautiful log cabin is something straight out of the movie. Such a peaceful getaway, with plenty of birds and stars in the night Sky to keep you company. Anthony and Cad are such welcoming hosts! Ask them about the history of the property when you arrive. Highly recommend this country retreat!

Anthony and Cass are beautiful people, who were so warm and welcoming. Their land is gorgeous and the cabin very cute and cosy. Having a sheltered fire pit was great and it was so much fun taking our dog swimming in the pond with their dogs 🐕 ❤️ and if you leave your truck lights on all night and completely drain your battery, they will come to the rescue and help jump start your car 🤣🤣 definitely recommend!

Our stay at GG's ranch was great. Anthony and Cas were super friendly and met us on arrival and gave us a thorough tour of the place and a bit of its history. There aren't many places to stay with so much character - it was great being able to stay in rooms with showers but also have the campfire right there to sit around and chat at night. They've done a great job doing up the place while retaining some of the quirks and character of the original homestead. We'd absolutely recommend staying here and we would come back again. A couple of "heads up" to set expectations: - We had 6 adult guests. It's a tiny bit misleading to say 3 bedrooms. The third room is more like a common area with a mattress on the floor. Whoever is staying in the upstairs area has to walk through that space to enter/exit. Also whoever is staying on the floor mattress either needs to walk through the upstairs room to access the toilet/shower or they need to walk a small distance outside along the veranda to the main house to use the toilet/shower. - One big oversight is not having blinds/curtains for the upstairs loft room. As soon as the sun peeks over the horizon in the morning it's blasting you directly in the face. - Finally, the wheelie bins are kept up a steep driveway at the gate. So once the small bin under the sink is full it's a 5-10 minute walk up the hill. I'm guessing it's to keep animals away from the house, but just something to be aware of .

GG’s Ranch was just what we were after - peaceful, remote, disconnected. The cabin has been beautifully restored, and it’s very comfortable, with modern amenities. The Hosts were very welcoming. We’d love to stay here again one day.

Such a great place to stay. Anthony and Cass are welcoming and friendly. The cabins are quiet and secluded. So comfortable with all of the special touches. The horse lessons were a really great experience for our girls and great to see people with such love and respect for their animals. You really could not find a better place for surroundings and experience. Congratulations Cass and Anthony for what you have achieved.

We had a wonderful weekend away with our mums 81 and 74 special treat So a few things that I need to make other hipcampers aware of before booking Description says 3 bedroom 2 bathrooms It has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms tho the loft bathroom was not available so for us only 1 bathroom The third bedroom was just a walk though / living room Description says 2 king beds 1 queen bed It has 1 king bed 1 queen bed and a queen sofa that flips out onto the floor in the living room I did check first about bedding was it suitable for our mums. I think not The property does have the potential to be so much more with some tlc Kitchen cupboards all out of alignment fairy lights not working definitely not wheel chair friendly

Anthony and Cass were very welcoming and lovely hosts. The cabin was so peaceful and felt like home and our dog now wants to be a farm dog! The only downside was that we didn't stay for long enough! Would strongly recommend a minimum 3 night stay! Thank you for having us.

We loved our stay at GG's. The perfect combination of a rustic pioneer era farm-stay and luxury renovated rooms. Pet friendly too, our 2x French Bulldogs had an absolute ball. Perfect retreat from city living for rest and recovery. We will be back!

Absolutely beautiful spot with amazing hosts who made us feel very welcome and made sure we were happy. Got a visit from the geese, met the horses and threw the stick for their lovely dog. Will absolutely be back.

This ranch stay was AMAZING. The land, the accomodation, the facilities is beyond what I expected. This is a beautifully renovated old bushman's home/cabin. It has a front cabin with a second bedroom, living room, fully equiped kitchen which has a stunning porch to have a cuppa on. It adjoins to an incredible loft with a pull out Koala couch/bed and mini kitchenette downstairs and bathroom and main bedroom upstairs. The views are stunning, everything is so beautifully decorated with traditional Australian homely touches and comfortable furniture. There are horses on the property to watch from the balcony, a fire pit to sing around the fire and plenty of privacy from the owners. If you don't book this property you are missing out! highly recommend.

I booked a stay for the weekend and unfortunately the site was flooded/ rained out due to the unprecedented and unpredictable rainfall this season. Luckily Anthony let me know and refunded me in full before I arrived. We cannot wait to come again another time, thank you for your help :)

Rolling hills and peace & quiet!
GG's Ranch & Retreat Cabins
My partner and I recently stayed at GG’s and it was incredible from the get go. We were greeted by the lovely hosts Cass and Anthony and their 3 charming puppers and shown to our Cabin and around the property. The cabin is AMAZING!!! Super authentic but with a beautiful modern touch with everything you need for a comfortable stay and more. A big highlight was the undercover fire pit area; meant we could enjoy a fire whenever we liked regardless of the weather as it’s been quite wet the last few months….it was very handy! The lake was super fun too! The dogs very much enjoyed a swim as well. Cass and Anthony were kind enough to introduce us to their horses and it was amazing to hear Cass speak so passionately about her love for horses, natural horsemanship and her extensive equine history and knowledge. This was the most unique and incredible hipcamp we have ever stayed at; it was so picturesque that my partner seized the opportunity of the beautiful location and stay and proposed under the fairy lights on the front deck. I couldn’t have asked for a more memorable and ‘perfect’ proposal 😍 Thank you so much Cass and Anthony, GGs will always be very special to us and we hope to maybe one day see you and your amazing ranch again for a wedding!

We loved our stay at GG's Ranch & Retreat. Such a beautiful, peaceful property. Tony and Cass are super lovely people and hosts. Would highly recommend booking in a horse riding/knowledge session with Cass - amazing to see someone so in tune with these beautiful animals. We'll be booking in another stay asap. Can't wait to get back there!

Had an amazing time camping at GG’s ranch! Beautiful setting, roaring campfire, toasted mashmellows for the kids... Cas and Tony were super welcoming and did some horsemanship and horse riding with the kids - their first time (ages 4 and 6) and they really loved it. We’ll definitely be going back!

Fantastic camp site nestled amongst a 70 year old stud farm. Beautiful scenery and a lovely fresh water dam right on our doorstep. Host were great. Everything including directions were easy. Would highly recommend.

Great spot in a lovely part of the country. The rustic buildings and farmyards add a nice dimension to the spot. The dam has crystal clear swimming water and trees provide nice shade.
