Our property is located in Tumut Plains at a nursery that specialises in African Violets. Enjoy the serene landscape with uninterrupted views of nearby hills, whilst relaxing under the shade of an Elm tree. Wander through the established gardens or relax and watch the neighbouring cattle wander through their paddocks. The house on the property is 120 years old and was once a school that has now been converted. The property also has some of the most amazing sunsets on offer. We are only a few minutes by car from the beautiful township of Tumut where you can access the Tumut River and Blowering Dam for all your water activities. There is also a great brewery for food and drinks, a nearby by mountain bike park and we are not too far from Adelong Falls. The property is pet friendly but please ensure your pets are under control at all times. Campfires are welcome in the firepit provided, as long as there is no restrictions in place. Lovely private area at the back of the property overlooking the neighbours’ farms and Snowy Mountains although as a single female traveller I felt uncomfortable with Leonie’s ex husband not giving privacy. The bathroom is lovely however it was not very clean

Great location, relatively cheap and does have hot water shower and flushing toilet. Unfortunately, the place is not in a great state of repair. We didn't spend the days at the camp site (out exploring the Tumut/Batlow area) so it suited us perfectly but if you were planning staying at the camp site during the day, you may be disappointed.

I booked this sight while on the road and it delivered what it said. I had to search for the toilet and facilities after trying to contact host. I did not consider that the pipes would freeze over night, so if you are there in the winter, ensure your water needs are sorted the evening before leaving. Beautiful view and sunset.

Nice peaceful and safe spot to camp. Huge deciduous trees and a shower and toilets very close. Loved looking across the paddocks at the cows and hills.

The initial impression of the site was concerning with a lot of timber and metal rubbish visible around the house and perimeter. Once we were settled, we appreciated the beauty of the paddocks, cows, and mountain views. The huge trees provided beautiful shade and the big grassy yard perfect for the kids to play. The shower and toilet were functional but not necessarily clean. Water hook up was convenient but power hook up limited your site parking. Firewood was supplied in the form of fallen logs and old pallets. The proximity to Tumut was excellent, only a few minutes drive to the Junction Park. It was very quiet and not much road noise. The owner was friendly and happy to chat and show you through the nursery. The site is definitely priced accordingly. All in all, we had a wonderful 3 night stay and made lots of memories.

Great place for the price. Has power, toilet, shower, bins and outdoor furniture so didn't have to get all my stuff out of the car. Great for camping or caravaning.

The Violet Farm was so sweet!! We had the place all to ourselves. Our host was most friendly for a chat when we arrived then left us to ourselves. Friendly neighbouring cows, kookaburras and cockatoos!! Very quiet and peaceful

This is a quiet secluded spot with a beautiful view and some friendly visiting cows. My kids loved hunting for raspberries and playing in the trees. Located nice and close to the toilet and hot shower. I agree with previous review about this being a rough diamond, but it has everything you need for a comfortable stay.

An Enchanting Getaway at The Violet

Our three-night stay at The Violet Farm was absolutely delightful! The hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making our experience truly special. The serene atmosphere and breathtaking views added to the overall charm of the place. The amenities were clean, ensuring a comfortable stay. Our fur babier also had the freedom to roam around and thoroughly having conversations with Moo. We are already looking forward to our next visit and can't wait to return!

Very quiet and beautiful views. Only one other caravan there. Had a talk with the owner and he showed us the violets he grows and sells. Will definitely go there again for a quiet weekend or so.

Great little spot with access to Kosiosko National park at the door step. Wonderful view and quiet. Friendly host who greeted us. Woukd highly recommend. Grwat to have access to loo's, potable water and a shower. Thanks for sharing your piece of land with us.

Easy 2WD access, levelled surface, has a fire pit, proper toilets and a shower, garden hose and power if requested. The views are great and plenty of shade to erect your tent

Overall thé experience is not very pleasant. The hosts never met us upon arrival. I called several times and even sent a voicemail but to no reply. When we saw them the next day, they didn’t even say hi or introduced themselves. The campsite is small and it’s pretty much just their backyard. There was a storm when we stayed. The wind was so strong and there were a few branches that fell from the tree. There was a big branch that is stuck on the tree and we told the host to atleast take it out or we can just borrow a ladder and get it ourselves because it’s a high risk that it might drop on our tent. We just ended up moving our tent but the concern was not heard nor acknowledged. Because of the unpleasant stay, we ended up going home before our check out date. Will definitely not recommend.

No Hot water😔

No hot water for shower 😔. We rose early before 6.30 am for a long travel day ahead. After packing up, time for shower. No go. After running shower and wash basin Hot taps for 10 minutes, no hot water evident. Traced hot water lines back to outdoor hot water unit. Verified water flow from outlet but dead cold. Due to multiple buildings existing the property unsure where host residence was, and being before 7am, decided to pack up and go Maybe better luck next time.

Stunning views over Tumut Plains

The most beautiful outlook over the farm land of Tumut Plains at the back of the nursery. So quiet with only room for site options under the most beautiful shaded trees. Shower and toilet for those that need to use and power (complete with leads) for 2 sites. Welcomed each afternoon by gorgeous cattle feeding along the fence was a hit with my furbaby Tiahna (she love's animals) The serenity was just what I needed to kick 2022 in the backside on NYE. On my own with my bottle of Champagne and peace and quiet ....Thank you

Really enjoyed our stay, great location and found Brad great to deal with. I did think it needed a clean up, just some property rubbish that collected water and encouraged mosquitoes etc but no doubt Brad is working on this. Loved the cows and bull visiting in the afternoons, and the chickens were good value too.

The place was really well positioned and has accessible road. Very short drive to Tumut shopping place. Had a perfect shade spot under the tree to camp on a very sunny day
