Site 1 is located on a gorgeous open grassed area overlooking the Mary River. There are native trees full of so many species of birds. We found ourselves relaxing and that was very good. We were only there 2 nights and would definitely stay there again.

Great spot by the river to just chill. Fish if you like that or just hang in the bush. There's friendly cows and the host is really accommodating. The site is close to Howard Town where there's a pub, bottle shop, IGA, laundry mat, take away shop and an op shop. We will be back!

This spot was stunning. Right on the river. Very peaceful and relaxing. Beautiful sunset and sunrise. Grassed areas. Pontoon for fishing which the kids loved. Road in to property was a bit rough, lots of pot holes but not issue just take it slow. Fully of grid so you need to be self contained. The host was very friendly and the process of booking incredibly easy. Would definitely come back and highly recommended.

Lovely spot alongside the dam. Great farmyard with morning visits from the sheep 🐑. Don’t forget to bring some banana 🍌 for the sheep and carrots and apples for all the other farm animals. Michelle was extremely friendly and welcoming.

This is our third time at the lovely Kurrajong Meadow and we had a wonderful time enjoying the hospitality of Kevin and Tan. The site is very large and flat, kept immaculately, is private and great for large groups. Would highly recommend staying there, Kevin and Tan are the perfect hosts, always able to communicate with them and they have clear instructions for arrival. We will be back!

RUSTIC RETREAT

Our property is situated on the banks of the great sandy strait just 400m from the Tuan Boat ramp with access to Fraser Island by boat or kayak. We are surrounded by Tuan State Forest and wetlands. There is a medium sized dam on the property for swimming.The Tuan Forshore has a park, BBQ area and picnic tables as well as garbage disposal. There is plenty of space in the surrounding forests for mountain biking, motor-biking and walking. 3km down the road in Boonooroo you will find a large park with tennis court and public BBQ's. The bowls club and Golf Club just 3km away and serve meals on weekends. This site is suitable for caravans, RV's, camper trailers. There is NO toilet facility on the property. We are VERY dog friendly and can be off lead as long as the dogs are friendly towards people and other dogs and don't bite our horses. We also have other peoples horses agisting in paddocks. Activities you can do include boating, kayaking, swimming, fishing, crabbing, walking, stand up paddle boarding, bird watching, kangaroo spotting, playing in the parks, beach tennis, mountain biking, hiking etc. Camp sites are far from the main house and other sites so you can have camp fires and play music, use generators without worry. Campers will need to be self contained (rubbish and toilets) and please leave your campsite the way you found it. Don't leave toilet paper or rubbish in fire pits please. Enter / Exit the main gate by pushing the code into the key pad. Gate closes after 20 seconds once it is fully open so be quick. NOTE: ***During Summer- November, December, January and February there are midgees (sandflies) at dusk and dawn and we do recommend midgee screening or spraying the mesh on your caravan windows as the standard mozzie mesh will not keep them out. Bring coils, a fan as they hate any breeze, bug spray and long sleeved pants and tops to wear in the evenings from about 5pm-7pm!*** *4X4's are recommended if you don't stay along the fence line as it can get muddy if there has been lots of rain. If you stay along the fence line you will be fine as the roads are compact and hard and the camp sites along this fence are higher up, they are marked with Fire Pits so camp here if you want to stay dry and get a good breeze.*

Rosgrow Farm Camping

Rosgrow Farm, 15 minutes off the Bruce Highway, offers secluded campsites set on a large tidal creek. There are plenty of trees and shelter. The creek offers fishing, crabbing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, boating and swimming. Fire pits and picnic areas make the sites perfect for evening relaxation with bird life and jumping fish, talking about the day's fishing or eating the day's crab catch. Limited firewood is sometimes available. It can be bought at a reasonable price about 6km along the road towards Burrum Heads.. Campers must be self-contained with their own toilet and shower and need to remove their rubbish. Particularly suitable for RVs and caravans with own toilet. Well suited for overnight travelers passing between Maryborough and Bundaberg, or others needing a few days rest, fishing or water activities. Sandflies are a problem in this region anywhere near water, in the mornings until about 9am and in the evenings after about 3:30pm, so bring plenty of repellent and apply early and often. Sites are 30-40 metres apart with a maximum of 8 vehicles and their occupants.

Our names are Chris and Christine. We recently moved to Gundiah Qld and acquired a beautiful piece of land (approx. 320 acres) with about 70 acres of picturesque camping located on the Mary River. Our property is located halfway between Gympie and Maryborough (approx. 20 minutes from the Bruce Highway) tucked away down a private road which is lovely and peaceful. We have some walking trails located on the Camp Grounds to take in the scenery, or for the more adventurous located behind the office are longer walking trails with spectacular views at the top. There is a bike track and playground with Mini Putt Putt to keep the kids amused! Currently an RC track in the making for the remote 4WD enthusiasts. Easy access to the Mary River if you would like a spot of fishing, swimming or kayaking. Keep your eye out for the platypus and Mary River Turtles. We also have fire pits available at most sites with plenty of free firewood to collect around the property. Your fury friends are more than welcome but for the safety of them and others must be on a lead at all times. We are located about 50 minutes from Gympie, an hour 15 minutes from Rainbow Beach and or Hervey Bay and 45 minutes from Maryborough. The town of Tiaro is only 15 minutes down the road which has a Foodworks, Pub, United Fuel and Cafe. Don't forget the local Gundy Pub is only 5 minutes down the road. Great atmosphere and meals "tell them we sent you". Gundy Getaway is the perfect place to get back to basics and enjoy the peace and serenity.

A stone's throw from the campsites is access to the mobility corridor/bike path, which takes you straight into Hervey Bay and continues all the way past the shops to Urangan pier, offering 15km of ocean frontage to explore. Our farm is located about 2.5km from both hospitals (private and government) for any care that you may need. All specialists and consulting facilities are very convenient. Next door to the campsites is our fantastic local cafe, The Depot Espresso Bar, open at 6 in the morning. They're happy to take orders for our campers from 5:30 if you knock! It's perfect for hopping on your bike from camp, grabbing your morning caffeine fix, and continuing on the day's biking adventure. Campfires are permitted, but please BYO firepit, and there is plenty of fallen timber you are welcome to collect and split yourself. Pets are welcome too! Kids under 5 stay free and don't need to be included in the booking group count. Check-in is welcome after 9 am and you can depart anytime.

You will also find a shopping centre with Woolworths in this area and other specialty shops (post office and retail). Plenty of takeaway available- KFC, McDonalds, Golden Chicken, River Heads Cafe for breakfast and lunch daily and pizza three nights a week and restaurants in the vicinity. River Heads where K’Gari Fraser Island barge leaves from is 7.5km from our camp and you are welcome to leave your vehicles parked up for a small fee. It's about 20 kilometres off the Bruce Highway and upstream from Burrum Heads and Walkers Point. There is a general store, picnic facilities and boat ramp. Buxton offers a relaxed lifestyle with pleasant surroundings. Boat enthusiasts are able to explore four river systems from this village. Dog friendly (refer rules please!). We are a working farm which offers a variety of activities 9 HOLE GOLF COURSE ( we have clubs and balls or bring your own) Try our fabulous sunset course. 1200m CROQUET - fun for all ages Fshing - mostly bass, perch, catfish, tilarpia Swimming - in the river, rock pools, small rapids or in our big lagoon Paddling- the beautiful Mary River offers a variety of paddling experiences. Yabby catching - traps or meat on a string in the big lagoon Fossicking and panning for gold - in the Mary River. ACTIVITIES BY NEGOTIATION We can do led pony rides for kids/adults 20 mins Horseback walking tour of property for adult beginners/intermediate Bring your own horse and it can use the yards and have water provided for free - ride various close by segments of the national trail. Gallop over endless sandflats at Tuan on the Great Sandy Straights, see the brumbies on the pine forest trails. TRAIL BIKES - kids with no bigger than 50cc welcome but must ride in designated area under full parental supervision. For adults there are huge state forests next door with fantastic trails as will as the sand trails in the enormous pine forests close by. PARTY SHED - if you wish to have a bit of a party, band, get together etc we have a pretty groovy 100 year old shed for hire.
