TerraLyra is a scenic, quiet camping and retreat property located in Gunalda, approximately 25 minutes north of Gympie, set on 55 acres of Fraser Coast hinterland and just 5 km off the Bruce Highway, with good access for all rigs. Surrounded by natural forest and open land, our property offers spacious, uncrowded camping with stunning views across a spring-fed lake. Facilities include: Powered and unpowered sites Fully equipped kitchen Hot shower and toilets Large covered deck with tables and chairs BBQ facilities Large group sites available Guests can enjoy swimming, complimentary kayaks, and walks through forested areas and around the lake and smaller dam. The Loft - Couples/Friends/Family Room

Tucked away at TerraLyra Camping and Retreat, our rustic Loft is a cosy little hideaway for guests who love the outdoors but would rather sleep under a roof on a plush mattress with awesome scenery and nature just on your doorstep. The main sleeping area, with a queen bed and all linen supplied, is upstairs on a mezzanine loft, reached by sturdy timber steps. It’s simple, comfortable and full of character — a great option for couples, families or friends wanting something a little different from a tent or caravan. Downstairs is an additional low-ceiling sleeping area, approximately 1.7 metres high, which works particularly well for children or younger guests using stretchers (we provide 2), or bring your own air beds or swags. One of the loveliest features of the Loft is your own large, partially covered deck overlooking the property. It’s a beautiful spot for coffee in the morning, a quiet drink at the end of the day, or simply sitting back and immersing yourself in the peace and nature around you. As night falls, settle in on the deck and enjoy the country night sky — away from the bright lights of town, it’s a lovely spot for stargazing. The deck has its own table and chairs, along with an exclusive barbecue for your use during your stay. You’re still very much part of the TerraLyra camping experience, with access to our shared camp facilities, including toilets, hot shower, camp kitchen, and the beautiful natural surrounds of the property. Spend your days wandering the walking tracks, unwinding on the pontoon or taking one of our complimentary kayaks out for a peaceful paddle across the large spring-fed dam. Or simply find your favourite quiet spot, slow down and enjoy the space, wildlife and tranquillity of our 55-acre property. The Loft is intentionally rustic rather than luxurious. Think simple country accommodation, fresh air, birdsong and somewhere warm and dry to come home to at the end of the day. **A couple of things to know before booking:** The mezzanine is accessed by stairs and is not suitable for guests with significant mobility difficulties. The downstairs sleeping space has low headroom, so taller adults may find it more comfortable upstairs. If you enjoy relaxed, slightly quirky country stays and don’t need everything polished and perfect, you’ll fit right in at TerraLyra.

Lovely stay, friendly and responsive host. Not all sites have fire pits so bring your own. We were self contained so didn’t use the facilities. Well maintained grounds. Bring your levelling chocks as the ground is a bit slopey. Beautiful outlook.

Peaceful Campsite
We had such a great time away...the hosts were so friendly and helped us with anything we needed...the amenties were clean and well stocked...beautiful views...would definitely go back...thankyou Louise and Heather you are both awesome and work so hard to maintain your beautiful property....Where just sorry we didnt get to say goodbye when we had to unfortunately leave to get back to reality.

Large Eastern Site 2
We had a lovely stay over the long weekend. The kids enjoyed swimming in the dam and the kayaks. The sites were large and well spaced out. Lots to enjoy and explore.

Peaceful location, with clean well kept amenity’s. Assigned sites are well sized and not over crowded. Lots of on site bush walking opportunity. Close enough to the city to make a lovely spot to sneak away from the busy too. Would love to visit again.

My fiancée and I had an amazing time at TerraLyra, The Hosts were welcoming friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was great with multiple camp areas and a swimmable lake with complementary kayaks perfect for a hot day. Will definitely be back in the near future 🏕️

Loved Terralyra. Hosts very interactive & present but don’t intrude. My grandson loved the huge dam, complementary kayaks & bush walks. Highly recommend for powered & unpowered.

Lake Side Campsite
Came up with friends for a camping trip and this was the perfect place, we had an absolutely wonderful time relaxing and hanging out. Heather and Louise were super friendly and happy to chat to, even giving us extra firewood! Would absolutely come again with no hesitation.

Private Camping Sanctuary
Had an incredible time at this spot- took some friends camping for the first time and everyone couldn’t rate it more! The spring fed damn is better than any shower, complimentary kayaks are a huge bonus. We’re blessed to have the entire grounds (almost) to ourselves one night. Heaps to explore and we all love baby dam! Heather was the most amazing host and we are really keen to come back: big love legends!!

Heather was lovely and welcoming. Very helpful to our questions. Loved the campsite. Views to dam was beautiful. Kids loved jumping off the pontoon, kayaking and the bush walks. Would recommend this property and happy to return one day.

The Inner Glade
What a beautiful quiet peaceful place to go and unwind and totally relax. Heather was very accommodating with where we wanted to park up for our two night stay and was introduced to her two lovely dogs Jimmy and Grace! Self contained clean kitchen and toilet and shower was also very clean. Would be a fantastic venue for a big event, plenty of land and a great dam you can kayak in. Thank you Heather and Louise for having us, I left the bags of carrots in the kitchen for the dogs! 💙🩷

Best place camp site I have ever been. Nice and quite surrounded by bush and nature environments. Camp site was not even crowded even though school holiday period. Hot water system, kitchen and toilet was even bonus for the camping. Definitely, we are going back for next camping.

Sweeping Views in Peaceful Retreat
Absolute heaven if you love the bush. Super peaceful. ALL you can hear are the birds. Must be very respectful of the wildlife and keep dogs controlled. Must be prepared to be off grid to preserve the finite rain water supply and no noise, just be peaceful. Truly Wonderful, generous, caring and lovely hosts. I will definitely come here again. I felt very privelidged to Stay here.
