Set up your camp beside beautiful Tinana Creek, this large freshwater creek is perfect for fishing and all your favourite water activities. It is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the abundance of wildlife that visits the property. The property is situated only 10 minutes drive from Maryborough, making it easy to explore this historic town. Guests are required to be fully self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Site 1 is better suited for tent campers. The site is a turfed section containing picnic table and small shelter shed, fire ring and access to boat ramp. Site 2 is suitable for tents or self contained caravans and RVs, and is situated right on the water. Pets are welcome but please keep them restrained whilst on the property.

An abundance of birdlife with over 135 different species found so far including a Powerful Owl. A magnificent 400 megalitre dam that now forms part of the natural landscape of this unique property. A hidden gem in the Wide Bay/Fraser Coast area of Queensland where relaxation, peace and privacy are unavoidable as are the sunsets and shooting stars in the clear skies above. We are 20 minutes from the quaint Childers Township and 50 minutes from Bundaberg. The property is totally private and caravans cannot been seen from the road, the owners live on the property and only booked guests are to enter the property offering security and peace of mind. Whether you want to bird watch, kayak, fish (catch and release only), hike or ride one of the many trails or sit, relax and read your favourite book, we promise a warm welcome; from the wildlife and the proprietors Tracie and Jimmy. Dam Crazy is also pet friendly, dogs must be cleaned up after and may be walked off leash on the walking trails (please be mindful of other campers, farm animals and wildlife), they may also swim in the dam but must be contained or kept on leash in the campsite areas. The dam is very deep and could have snags washed down in floods, so we suggest children wear life jackets, and MUST be supervised by adults at all times around the water. A very peaceful and relaxing property with a nice creek to cool off in. Lots of space and it was enjoyable watching the cattle wondering by as well as all the great local bird life. The hosts were very friendly and accomodating and there is a great country pub nearby that has great meals.

Fabulous camp site. Lovely hosts - friendly and welcoming. Thank you for allowing guests to your property. We stayed at site 12 which was nice and flat with the morning shade overlooking the creek with some lovely breeze. When we book again we will opt for site 10 as it has mostly all day shade (hence will require portable solar panels), and I’d bring along some low beach chairs to sit in the running stream - would be bliss. A really lovely stay. Thank you for your hospitality.

Great spot, fantastic dam for swimming and a paddle with free kayak use. Love the jetty and boat shed! Beautiful grassed campground but be prepared to do some leveling if you are in a caravan on some sites. Can't comment on toilet's as we are self contained so didn't use those facilities.

Weekend Trip to Dam Crazy Camping

Such a gorgeous spot!! We had an incredible time camping at site 2, plenty of space from other campers! The toilets were flush toilets, with running handwashing water and soap, very clean! Our dog had the best time watching all the activity, going for leash free walkies on the hiking trail and having nice big swims in the dam! We also had fun with the complimentary kayaks! Owner is super nice and welcoming! This will definitely be our family camping spot from now on!

Great location and only a short drive to the beach. The camp itself is pretty simple but it’s what we expected when we booked. I would say to avoid this site if you have a low clearance 2WD as we struggled a little bit to get out with our campervan. Overall we would stay again purely for the location 😊

The peace and quiet along with the beautiful scenery added to a fantastic 5 day stay at Creekside. The campsite had lush green grass which was well maintained and a fire pit was provided. Wood was available from Owen and Wendy who were amazing hosts. Will definitely be back.

3 nights at Brooyar Station

Loved caravanning at Brooyar Station. Site 19 was right on the dam shore with a mostly flat spot and a fire pit. Loads of wildlife and you could see the cows roaming in distant paddocks. Nearby there was a running creek which the dog, and her hoomans, absolutely loved! Our host was kind enough to take us to feed lucerne to the pregnant cows and then a wonderful quad bike tour of the property which is awesome! No phone signal made our stay that much more enjoyable! Will definitely be going back!

1 night at Wright's on the River

We originally booked for 1 night and stayed for 5. We camped at the Creekside camp which was a lovely grassed area with lots of space. The area was well maintained and even had a shade shelter with table and chairs. The camp is private, quiet and with a lovely outlook over the creek and a fire pit is provided. We caught numerous catfish, which was fun, and 2 quite large lungfish which we photographed and released unharmed back into the water. Owen and Wendy are lovely friendly hosts who were very accommodating after we had a booking hiccup with another site. We will definitely be returning.

Weekend Trip to Wright's on the River

We had a wonderful stay at Wrights on the river. It's a lovely spot with a large body of water, great for water based activities & fun for the whole family. We will be going back again! It's an excellent spot for group camping, with two large caravan/tent sites side by side. If you want to ensure privacy we would recommend booking both sites, which is what we did. Owen was very welcoming & their place is very easy to find.

We loved camping at Wrights on the River. Our host Owen and Wendy were very welcoming and helpful. We camped right on the river beautiful level soft grass site with easy access to river for kayaking or just relaxing enjoying the changing waterscape with the passing of the day. Quiet, peaceful apart from the bird song and occasional moo from the cows in the next meadow. Definitely a new favourite. Thankyou Owen & Wendy AAA+++ campsite

An amazing spot on the creek. Fire pit, privacy, green grass and fishing - absolutely perfect!! We had no problems getting up and down the hill but be mindful of your vehicle's capability if towing as access to the site is quite steep.

This was our third weekend in a row here! We absolutely love it. Camp sites are spacious and we love going down to the creek to cool off. The kids have so much room to play. We prefer site 17 as it’s close to the play ground. The family that runs this Hipcamp are awesome too.

We had a wonderful 4 night stay at Dam Crazy. Peaceful, clean toilets, plenty of birdlife. We loved the walking tracks and the jetty and boat shack are a great addition.
