Lovely hosts, so welcoming and happy to share their space with us. A beautiful spot, nice and secure, quiet and farm animals! Hot shower and flushing toilets as well, plenty of space to pick from.

We had a fantastic four night stay at Tammy and Greg’s! Good flat areas with plenty of choice of where to park our van, we chose an open spot to maximise solar but there were plenty of trees around which made for a very pleasant environment. Had a fire pit right near our van which was awesome. The kids had a blast riding their bikes around and helping feed the farm animals. There were other campers during our stay and Tammy thoughtfully spread everyone out so we had ample space and privacy, but close enough for the kids to play with other kids.. Easy access to Hervey Bay attractions. Tammy and Greg run a plant nursery on the property with excellent prices, so we ended up filling the bathroom in the van with some new fruit trees 🤣 Thank you for a great stay.

Family Farm was a very enjoyable stay! From our warm welcome by the hosts, to the spacious and scenic camp site, we were taken care of through our entire stay. We originally booked 1 night on our way through, but chose to stay a second night as we loved being immersed in the natural environment and getting to wake up to the chickens and farm animals in the morning. We would like to give a special thanks to our hosts, returning from a huge day exploring Hervey Bay, we found our firepit full and prepared for us to light on our return. What a thoughtful gesture! I would highly recommend and will certainly book here on our return trip south.

We had a fantastic stay! The owners were so friendly and welcoming, and the location was absolutely beautiful and peaceful. It was lovely waking up surrounded by goats, chickens, cows and sheep — a real country experience! 🐐🐔🐄🐑 A great spot to relax, unwind and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

We camped in a tent at Family Farm for 3 nights & it was a very pleasant time. The hosts were friendly & accomodating & gave us a choice of spots. The chickens running around the place gave us entertainment. We optioned the toilet, shower & firewood that made life convenient. Overall I would recommend Family Farm

Tammy and her husband really welcomed us: we fed the cows and the goats while chatting with them. They’re very hardworking. The property is well maintained and you feel connected to the nature as soon as you arrive. We had a nice campfire and enjoyed the place. Thank you Tammy.

Peaceful rural retreat

Lovely peaceful rural setting, convenient location only 6kms from Hervey Bay. Host Tammy & her husband were very welcoming & allowed us to pick our site for our 20ft caravan, ie we required a sunny spot for solaral panel charging as hubby was working remotely. Camped behind the cute rustic shelter fire pit area, behind the host's plant nursery, which didn't in the least impose on our camping site or experience. Phone reception was limited as our kept dropping out wasnt an issue as we used Starlink or What's App. Top spot away from the congestion of town caravan parks. Oh, & the chickens were most entertaining for us & our small dogs watching from their puppy pen.

Absolutely lovely hosts, great place to stay. We went whale watching and stayed two nights. Would have stayed longer!! Pool was great and lots of wild animals to see. Would give 6 stars if possible 😊

We had a wonderful time camping at the farm and would highly recommend! Tammy and Greg were on hand with anything we needed. The campground itself was perfect for us in a swag - flat and spacious. We brought our own firewood but you’re able to buy some at the farm if needs be. There’s plenty of kindling around being surrounded by so many trees! It was such a relaxing and peaceful environment, perfect if you want to get out the city for the weekend and spend some time in nature. We chose to stay here as we had planned to go whale watching in Hervey Bay and it’s only a 15mins drive away. We would 100% stay again if we head up that way!

We had a very relaxing stay and enjoyed interacting with the goats, cows and chickens. Even the bossy rooster was no trouble and visited us every day. Mosquitos are to be expected (large dams and ponds) but we had a great fire going and with some repellent we hardly noticed them. Greg and Tammy were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. We were lucky enough to sample some delicious free range eggs and their amazing honey...and came home with a very special Brazillian cherry tree from their nursery! We'll certainly be back next time we are heading that way!👍

Awesome hidden gem with great hosts

Took my partner to Hervey Bay for a whale watching trip for his 60th and wanted to stay somewhere off grid rather than the caravan park at the marina as only a short stay Fri to Sun. Did a search on Hipcamp and chose Family Farm to stay. Greg & Tammy were wonderful hosts. After initial welcome, Greg took us to an area where we could choose to set up. Had a fire pit, a little toilet / shower block for use, a magnesium pool (bit too cold at the moment), chooks, goats & cows and they run a plant nursery - small penny spent on some plants for home! We were meant to go out for dinner Friday night but were so relaxed, we stayed put and ate in by our fire. Sadly they are selling due to some ill health but I highly recommend putting this on your list of places to stay. They are a short 12km from the marina and so peaceful. Thanks Greg & Tammy & all the best with health and your future..

We had such a great time at Family Farm! ❤️ The owners are soooo friendly and helpful, they really made us feel welcome. The campsite was quiet and not overcrowded at all, which we loved. The animals were definitely one of the highlights. The goats, cows and chickens were so friendly and we loved being able to pat and feed them… except the rooster 😂 He definitely made sure we knew he was there! The bathroom was really clean and everything was well looked after. Such a peaceful and lovely place to stay. We had a great time and would definitely come back! Highly recommend! 😊

A great and beautiful campsite with welcoming hosts. They have a big camping area with a clean toilet and hot shower. Tammy and Greg are very friendly and welcoming, they showed us around the campground and also around the farm and their animals. The sites have a fire pit and are level, easy to set up a camper trailer.
