River run has an amazing variety of bird life due to the large body of fresh water and pristine habitat creating a great environment for spotting native animals including wallabies, echidna and platypus, which have been sighted at the boat ramp. We are pet friendly too as long as your animals remain on a leash and are under full supervision at all times. River Run is only a short drive away from lots of great experiences, Markets, Mural trail, horse riding, adventure activities, history, museums, Festivals, art and culture that are sure to inspire. Thursday is market day in Marybrough with live music, town tours, great food fruit and veggies. Park your van in our picturesque orchard grove. We are right next door to Sublime Farm and Brewery, where you can meet new friends, grab some limes, grab a delicious meal, sample their craft brews, and enjoy live music on the weekends. It is a large block and there are campsites far enough away that you can enjoy the peace and quiet. All our sites are unpowered. Our guests are required to be self contained (have own shower & toilet). Our pub toilets are open 24 hours as a courtesy. We also have a basic/spartan shower/toilet block for emergencies/back up. Pets are permitted but must be kept on a leash at all times n campground and at the pub. This is to protect the wildlife and surrounding environment. To note during our large events (ie: Sublime Fest) pets are not allowed due to numbers on site. Our property features a Koala habitat and a creek where we occasionally spot platypus. There are a range of great nearby activities, farms, orchards, walks etc. It's the perfect spot to explore the Cooloola Coast, Rainbow Beach and Fraser Island. Our property is located halfway between Gympie and Maryborough (approx. 20 minutes from the Bruce Highway) tucked away down a private road which is lovely and peaceful. We have some walking trails located on the Camp Grounds to take in the scenery, or for the more adventurous located behind the office are longer walking trails with spectacular views at the top. There is a bike track and playground with Mini Putt Putt to keep the kids amused! Currently an RC track in the making for the remote 4WD enthusiasts. Easy access to the Mary River if you would like a spot of fishing, swimming or kayaking. Keep your eye out for the platypus and Mary River Turtles. We also have fire pits available at most sites with plenty of free firewood to collect around the property. Your fury friends are more than welcome but for the safety of them and others must be on a lead at all times. We are located about 50 minutes from Gympie, an hour 15 minutes from Rainbow Beach and or Hervey Bay and 45 minutes from Maryborough. The town of Tiaro is only 15 minutes down the road which has a Foodworks, Pub, United Fuel and Cafe. Don't forget the local Gundy Pub is only 5 minutes down the road. Great atmosphere and meals "tell them we sent you". Gundy Getaway is the perfect place to get back to basics and enjoy the peace and serenity.

The creek offers fishing, crabbing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, boating and swimming. Campers must be self-contained with their own toilet and shower and need to remove their rubbish. Particularly suitable for RVs and caravans with own toilet. Well suited for overnight travelers passing between Maryborough and Bundaberg, or others needing a few days rest, fishing or water activities. Sandflies are a problem in this region anywhere near water, in the mornings until about 9am and in the evenings after about 3:30pm, so bring plenty of repellent and apply early and often. Sites are 30-40 metres apart with a maximum of 8 vehicles and their occupants in the whole property. No overcrowding! Looking for a special breakfast or brunch? Try Goody’s on the Beach, a 3-minute drive away at Toogoom for great waterside dining or Arkarra Gardens, 10 minutes away for a tropical rainforest dining experience. Pricing: Basic booking is for a vehicle with caravan, or an RV, and 2 people. Heaps of space, surrounded by nature, while still a stone's throw from civilization, come and see the beauty of this incredible natural environment for yourself. We have river access and our own private river beach (beautiful sandbar) at low tide, great for paddling, bird watching or fishing. Views to Fraser Island, large flat grass fields, freshwater dams and national park forests to explore. Because we are surrounded by wilderness and on the river, depending on the weather, wind, tide and particularly during the warmer months, insects and bugs may also be present. We have a private 20 acres of shady land not far from the pretty town of Childers. Our property features a spring-fed creek with fish. Bring your fishing rods as there is silver perch and perch for catch and release fishing only. The rest of the property features open grasslands and bush. We are pet friendly, unpowered sites with access to a flushing portaloo toilet. Campers must have everything they need and leave no trace. Just 20 minutes inland from the beautiful coastal beaches. With flat and comfortable sites, this is a haven for anyone venturing to the Fraser Coast. It's a 2 minute drive into town for supplies and where you can enjoy a range of pubs, cafes and shops. Lots of things to do and see in the area including a bird park and the Snakes Down Under display. *Booked campsites - please note on arrival you will be directed to our general camping areas, you are free to pick any spot to set up your camp.

Great hosts, massive flat tent site near the toilets, which were kept very clean. The dam is stunning! Kids and adults loved the kayaks and jumping from the pontoon. The kids were able to go and help feed the birds. Hosts were so lovely. Will be back, hopefully very soon. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Lovley hosts, Susan and her husband made us feel welcome. They came out everyday to see everyone and join in. They had some lovley ideas for the kids. Playground was a big hit for our family and we love that you have a range of bikes for the kids to ride on as most places dont and that was a must for us.

Great spot on the river, spacious sites with plenty of seating and picnic area. Fire pits on every site. friendly and welcoming host. Peaceful and relaxing, booked for 1 night and stayed another as it was so beautiful. we'll definitely return.
