Camping is available on the property with access for motor homes and caravans.
Enjoy peace and quiet with fishing and an abundance of bird life and occasional wildlife including Kangaroos, Echidnas, Turkeys and LizardsEnjoy natural bush land up the back of the property as you have a morning or afternoon stroll or even take the dogs for a walk.
Located near the town of Howard that includes a Pub (great food), a local IGA store, bakery (awesome sandwiches, pies and cakes), the butcher with an awesome selection and also a takeaway and small cafe.
Also a short drive away is Torbanlea with another Pub (and great food) and Burrum heads leading onto the ocean with new boat ramp, large pub, cafe, and another store.Half an hour away is also Hervey Bay with all larger stores and retailers.

Enjoy a convenient and relaxing base to discover the best of Hervey Bay at our 150-acre cattle grazing farm located just 3km outside of town, with plenty of space for campers. To access the farm, turn right off the Maryborough Highway into Chapel Rd, then turn right at the picnic table beside the bikeway, and do not drive over the cattle grid. The entrance is right beside the grid with reflectors on each post. If you're having trouble finding the entrance, please call Ray at 0459247041 or Judy at 0459247042.
We offer numerous camping sites on cleared land lined by trees, near to our gully and seasonal creek. Each site is private and offers plenty of space. Campers must be self-contained with their own camp toilet, but there is a 24/7 dump station just 2km away.
A stone's throw from the campsites is access to the mobility corridor/bike path, which takes you straight into Hervey Bay and continues all the way past the shops to Urangan pier, offering 15km of ocean frontage to explore.
Our farm is located about 2.5km from both hospitals (private and government) for any care that you may need. All specialists and consulting facilities are very convenient.
Next door to the campsites is our fantastic local cafe, The Depot Espresso Bar, open at 6 in the morning. They're happy to take orders for our campers from 5:30 if you knock! It's perfect for hopping on your bike from camp, grabbing your morning caffeine fix, and continuing on the day's biking adventure.
Campfires are permitted, but please BYO firepit, and there is plenty of fallen timber you are welcome to collect and split yourself. Pets are welcome too!
Kids under 5 stay free and don't need to be included in the booking group count. Check-in is welcome after 9 am and you can depart anytime.

Tiaro main street is only 3 mins away by car and is home to the well-known Tiaro butcher and the Tiaro Christmas Cottage. Maryborough 20 mins and Gympie 40 mins. Perfect position to base and explore from.

Thankyou Judy and Ray for providing such a great spot to camp. We camped during mid-summer and the site was shaded by many trees and easy to access. Carlton Farm is very close to town and Hervey Bay beaches yet was quiet with minimal traffic noise. A small creek meandered beside our camp where a cute chorus of frogs chirped at sunset. Cool spot.

Whilst it was closer to the highway than we first thought, it still pretty quiet and the convenience of being so close to town was well worth it. We set up near the cattle yards and it was very peaceful to look out over the paddocks.
A well prepared, flat site made it a breeze for quick setup. Only recommendation is to make sure you have enough water with you as we had to fill up a few times from in town. We’ll be coming back for sure.

We loved Luke's compound. The hosts Peter and Renee were so accommodating and friendly. They even gave us a jumpstart. The property was immaculate. Toilets clean and functional. Plenty for the kids to do. With a zip line ove the dam, kayaks, bikes, a jumping castle. We will definitely be back next time we are going through the area.

We had such a great experience camping here! The grounds were clean, well-maintained, and beautifully set out. The owners were friendly and helpful, and everything felt really well organised. The amenities were spotless, and it was clear that a lot of care goes into keeping the site welcoming and comfortable. It was the perfect spot to relax, enjoy nature, and unwind. We’ll definitely be coming back!

It is a great spot. Nice and easy access to Childers
Love how it has been set up. Lots of room between campsites. Brilliant fire pit setup, best I have seen for safety. The showers and toilets are so cute! A lot of thought and personal touches have been put into the design.
The shower is on a timer which definitely needs some adjustment to get hot water through before it cuts out but Im sure the owner will look into that.
Definitely worth checking out!
