Woodlands Farm Stay is a beautiful slice of paradise. It gave my family the chance to slow down, switch off, and enjoy the simple things that matter most.
Our children ran free from sunrise to sunset, fed the farm animals, explored, played and came back with dirty feet and the biggest smiles. Watching them enjoy the freedom of the outdoors reminded me so much of my own childhood - camping, making adventures out of nothing, and simply being kids.
If you're looking for a peaceful escape where families can reconnect with nature and make special memories together, I couldn't recommend Woodlands Farm Stay more highly. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already planning our next visit.

We enjoyed our first visit to Susan's farmstay camp grounds.
Susan is a lovely host, friendly n welcoming.
We walked around looking at all the animals, along to the fairy garden in the day n night time. We had a visit from 3 curious big kangaroos this morning.
We met a lovely couple camped in site 2, they have exact same names as my husband n I, that was trippy as. We gathered sticks n had a camp fire together..looking at the stars telling many stories of our travels..
I think the only thing we wished was available would be a dump point. Our toilet cassette filled on 2nd day..only place t empty is at gumtree lodge, at a cost t us or drive 20 to 30ks to Harvey Bay or matyborough n empty for free.
Anyway, we would recommend staying at Susan's farmstay, its peaceful,relaxing n you do hear bit of traffic noise from highway.or the train line .but didn't bother us in any way.
Shops of howard are close, visiting the witches mess shop, the bakery n OP shop was my highlight of my trip

Spacious sites among the trees with good facilities. Hosts very friendly and accommodating. The kids loved feeding the animals and riding the bikes!

Hidden gem in Howard

Plenty of space away from other campers. Good to choose if we wanted to feed the goats and chickens, or roast marshmallows on the communal fire. There were kids bikes and toys and rudimentary playground and a fairy garden. We also had own fire pit and were able to forage for fire wood. Open skies and good times in a large space for all of our family. Definitely recommend đ¤

Recommending to someone one is hard as you donât know their setup. You have to be self sufficient in ablution and power. The facilities are very basic bush camping. We had a great stay and the grandkids thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The road noise was pretty bad.

Very nice experience staying at Susan and Vincentâs Woodlands HIP Camp. It was well located close to the local shops and not too far from Hervey Bay, Maryborough or Childers. Itâs located close to the highway, so you can continue where youâre going without any fuss. I canât wait to come back next year and see the progress made. Thanks so much Susan and Vincent and best of luck with everything you have planned for the future âşď¸

Found this camp a few months ago and loved it as it was handy to everything and close to home , went back recently for a shakedown on the new van and was amazed with the work Susan and Vincent had completed. A lovely young couple with so many ideas and a lot of passion. The only worry I have is that too many will find this camp lol Wish them all the best

We loved our 2 night stay here! Large open spaced sites, lots of nature. The hosts were kind and helpful. My son loved the kids play area and fairy garden. We would definitely stay here again :)

Lovely wide spacious sites and even better hosts who were so welcoming. Close to township and best pie shop/ bakery. Plenty of activities for the young at heart at the camp grounds and lots of animal antics from resident goats and poultry. A good camp kitchen with fridge and adequate amenities.

Great true bush camping with Kangaroo's and Sugar Gliders. Our son loved the playground, chickens, Goats and Guinnea Pig pats. We had a wonderful family stay.

Just 30 minutes from Hervey Bay and right off the highway, this spot is such a gem. With farm animals, a magical fairy garden, bikes, a playground, and beautiful bushland surrounds, itâs perfect for a relaxing stopover.
The best part? The most delightful hosts who are constantly adding thoughtful touches â and itâs not even a year old yet! đ
Thereâs a shower & toilet, water refill, and a handy camp kitchen, making it an easy and comfortable stay.
Being relatively close to the highway (not that youâd know it when here as itâs all bush land!), you can hear some noise, but itâs not super loud.
We stayed on site 5 which was large enjoy for multiple families and close to everything!

It is such a beautiful place , different birds flying around, it was so relaxing to sit back in nature , the farm animals were great got to feed the goats and held a fluffy white chook.
The owners Susan and Vince were lovely people made me feel very welcome. I have shown photos to friends , etc and they are thinking of staying. I'm hoping to plan a trip back with family, friends etc.
I recommend people to go and stay , has lots of things for kids , good thing for parents to spend special time with their kids.
I stayed for 15 days and I loved every moment of it, felt a bit sad I was leaving such a wonderful amazing place. Thank you Susan , Vince and Eli for beautiful moments in your neck of woodlands and farmstay .đŠˇđŠˇđŠˇđŠˇ

Kids loved the animals. Settings was pretty, only improvement would be the toilet and shower facilities. The hosts were lovely and included the kids in all things with the animals.

Suzan and Vincent were super lovely, camp spot were very generously sized. We had a great time for out first camping trip away in our camper. Very family friendly, My kids loved feeding and holding the farm animals too!
As stated, there is some highway noise over night, and being self sufficient is definitely recommended. There is one Communal toilet that is enclosed with the shower. It was nice to use however caused a bit of a que at times and using the shower with the kids after somone had been to the toilet created a bit of a wait time to let things settle before going in. Just something to be mindful of. The grounds are lovely, the hosts are so welcoming and we will definitely return once they have continued to expand a little. A really nice place to stay đ

A property that has had so much work done to it, and the aspirations are still plenty to go. Amazing hosts, always up for a chat. Very clean and spacious site, kids loved playing with the goats, chickens, ducks and guinea pigs. Was very appreciative to the easter activities that were put on, even though that meant me "running" around with chocolates attached for kids to get.
You will definitely see us again and we look forward to seeing the ongoing changes you make!

We did not meet Susan but her husband Vincent greeted us! He is such a nice guy! The property has so much potential which they are slowly working on! Vincent has great ideas! With all campgrounds, after the rain comes mud so be prepared for that and check the forecast! We had a lovely stay, thank you!

We stopped off for one night and the owners kindly met us after check-in time and showed us the site. Lots of space and a great camp kitchen and toilet/shower. Petting the goats and chickens in the morning was a great way to start our day :)

Susan and her husband were the best hosts ever. We had really nice and interesting conversations with them.
The site is perfect and flat, shower and toilets are really clean and the camp kitchen too.
Farm pets were so cute.

Fabulous find while we visited family in the area. We are 2Ad in a caravan & loved the spacious peaceful bush setting along with having potable water available. Highly recommend staying here, is a beautiful place to stay. Loved that there's goats, cows , chickens and ducks roaming and the Fairy track and garden is an awesome idea. Was easy access just have off highway. We have a big 19mtr bus and had plenty room to park it with water access. I even got to see and catch my first ever firefly. Hosts are so friendly and welcoming. Thankyou Susan, Vincent and Eli for making our stay a wonderful one.

We had such a lovely night at Woodlands Farmstay - large bush sites with firepits, feels very peaceful and secluded despite being so easily accessible from the highway and so close to town. Beautiful view of the stars at night too!
Susan and Vinnie are fabulous hosts, really friendly and helpful, and having a chance to interact with the gorgeous farm animals was a highlight for us!
We'll definitely be back and we can't wait to see how the place grows đ
