An undercover, shared lounge with jug and toaster is available, but no camp kitchen. Well behaved dogs welcome. Above ground fire pits only. No generators pls. A great base to explore the area-Josephine Falls, Babinda Boulders, Babinda Kayaking, Etty Bay, Paronella Park, Cairns, The Tablelands, Innisfail. Handy Mirriwinni Post Office and General Store 2 minutes away. Babinda Town 10 minutes away with a Fabulous Butcher, Bakery, Op Shop, Mechanic, Coffee/Takeaway Shops , 2 Pubs, Information Centre, Local Museum, Spar, Pharmacy and Doctor. Check for local fire ban restrictions first. There is plenty of wood lying around for use (bring your axe or saw). Things to do - Send some golf balls into space -The creek is seasonal, only flowing after good rain. It will dry up in some conditions. Swimming in the water holes is ok, please check in the water for depth and sticks -Brisbane river is up the road (10mins) to Savages crossing or Twin Bridges. Fantastic swimming or lazing in the running water. -Push bikes, Brisbane Valley Rail Trail is 5min away if you jump on at Borallon Station Rd. Some cattle tracks for the kids to ride along in the paddock also. -Wivenhoe, Somerset Dam in the area for water sports -Wildlife watching, this paddock sustains a large variety of native animals, if you’ve got a keen eye -Bottle Tree pub is just down the road, - bit more than walking distance tho :) -Take it easy.
