Spacious bush camping, in a rainforest setting. A fabulous crystal-clear, fresh water creek for swimming and exploring. Sunny or shady spots. Lots of bird life, 2 nosey horses and 2 "hard done by" dogs. We offer fully self-contained camping in Paddocks 2 & 3. Paddocks 4-7 have bathroom access. Paddock 8 offers powered sites with, bathroom access. All sites are for 2 adults and up to 3 or 4 children (depending on paddock booked). Each site is allocated 1 vehicle. An undercover, shared lounge with jug and toaster is available, but no camp kitchen. Well behaved dogs welcome. Above ground fire pits only. No generators pls. A great base to explore the area-Josephine Falls, Babinda Boulders, Babinda Kayaking, Etty Bay, Paronella Park, Cairns, The Tablelands, Innisfail. Handy Mirriwinni Post Office and General Store 2 minutes away. Babinda Town 10 minutes away with a Fabulous Butcher, Bakery, Op Shop, Mechanic, Coffee/Takeaway Shops , 2 Pubs, Information Centre, Local Museum, Spar, Pharmacy and Doctor. We have 3 private campsites to offer, all have good distance from each other with no visibility of other camps. Approximately 400m from other sites. We like to camp with room too! All sites are fenced off with a gate to drive in and keep the cattle out. Please select a site for more detailed description on what to expect and the extras it offers. Selecting a site will show more accurate photos of that particular location instead of every photo found here. Must be over 18 to book, under 18’s need to be accompanied by an adult over 18. Pets welcome however must remain on leash or tether *Please notify us if bringing a dog* Please clean up after your dog ready for the next camper. Fires permitted only in fire-rings provided. Check for local fire ban restrictions first. There is plenty of wood lying around for use (bring your axe or saw). Things to do - Send some golf balls into space -The creek is seasonal, only flowing after good rain. It will dry up in some conditions. Swimming in the water holes is ok, please check in the water for depth and sticks -Brisbane river is up the road (10mins) to Savages crossing or Twin Bridges. Fantastic swimming or lazing in the running water. -Push bikes, Brisbane Valley Rail Trail is 5min away if you jump on at Borallon Station Rd. Some cattle tracks for the kids to ride along in the paddock also. -Wivenhoe, Somerset Dam in the area for water sports -Wildlife watching, this paddock sustains a large variety of native animals, if you’ve got a keen eye -Bottle Tree pub is just down the road, - bit more than walking distance tho :) -Take it easy.

Dee put us on a nice flat, grassy, spot away from most other campers.. it was perfect! The creek is beautiful, crystal clear water and has spots deep enough to dip your entire body and spots shallow enough that our 2 toddlers could explore. Absolutely loved our stay, thanks Dee!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing peaceful stay This campsite is beautifully maintained and feels very secure. It’s completely private and incredibly quiet — the perfect place to relax and switch off. I was curious about the wood-fire heated outdoor bath, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience. Heating the water with fire and bathing under the stars after a hot day was absolutely incredible. Such a special off-grid moment. The nearby river and creek are also stunning — perfect for cooling down and enjoying nature. Overall, my stay was so relaxing and peaceful. I also want to apologise — when I was leaving, my car bumped into one of the wooden benches near the fire pit. The timber was heavier than I expected, and I wasn’t able to put it back perfectly. I’m very sorry for that. Thank you so much for providing such a beautiful place. I’d love to come back again.

We loved camping at Yabba Creek Farm. Kaylea and Dean were great hosts and kept the farm was very well maintained. It was peaceful, plenty of space. Grab a kayak so you can see a platypus like we did. The wife loved the petting zoo, especially the turkey. Our doggie also had the best time. Highly recommended Yabba Creek Farm to anyone and we’ll definitely be returning. Thanks for a great stay.

Was great camping experience 2 nights the host went over and beyond getting things ready the place was amazing great view just relaxing and enjoying the nature. Lovely place to swim in the river . Get to experience farm animals petting them the host was just so lovely good people, can’t wait to book our next trip . The best thing bout the camp site is only few minutes in to town if you’re running low on supplies how good is that.

Such a great spot and we had the place to ourselves while we stopped in on our way home from a big road trip. The facilities are fabulous! Cows were doing zoomies in the night which we loved as we have our own cattle. Obviously there is cow poo all around so it was a fun game finding the oldest to stick the swag between. Will definitely stay again if we get the chance.

Thoroughly enjoyed 5 nights camping at The Gums with my dogs. I am a repeat customer and love the serenity there. The almost 4 hour return trip is always worth it. Received a nice supply of wood which I pre-ordered and got to meet more of the host family who are lovely people and really take care of their property and their campers. It was great to see the Monarch butterfly (plus other butterfly’s) thriving on the milkweed plant. Monarch butterfly numbers are dwindling in Australia so this was such a blessing to see. Had fun searching for their caterpillars also! Enjoyed watching the resident Willy wagtails with their two offspring, the resident kingfisher and magpies plus all the other birds and reptiles spotted during our walks.

Was a great experience, well maintained spot to camp on. Host was very respectful and made sure we where aware of the wet weather coming. Was also very responsive to talk to. And firewood is only 15 bucks a load. Would recommend this spot to any hipcampers looking for a nice private spot in our beautiful country. I will be booking here again.

Such a beautiful spot owned by a lovely family. So welcoming and friendly. We stayed on the silky oaks site, which was grassy, spacious with plenty of shade looking at a beautiful mountain and horses. and a grt fire pit. Just a short walk down to Yabba Creek.Town water hookup on each site and free kayaks. We will be back!
