Stonesthrow is a 106 acre rural property in the peaceful Illinbah Valley. Nestled between Beechmont and Canungra, we are about an hour (a stones throw) from the Gold Coast or Brisbane. Over time, the property has been used to farm goats, train racing camels and spell racehorses and is now a family hobby farm. We currently have three dogs, cows, horses and goats. We have goat food for purchase on site. 🐐
The Stonesthrow Bush Camping lower sites are close to the beautiful shallow creek that meanders its way through the property. These sites have access to facilities - toilets, a powered shed, kettle, fridge and a sink. Most of these sites are suitable for 2WDs and some sites are accessible to caravans.
The Stonesthrow Elevated sites are located higher up, with stunning views of the valley. These sites are only accessible by 4WD and require you to BYO sealed, chemical camping TOILET and ensuite tent which we sight on arrival before allowing guests access to the track. Check-in must be during daylight hours to enable safe access. Off-road camper trailers can access these sites however NO caravans.
🐾 Friendly dogs are welcome and must be kept on a lead when in close proximity to the cottage and other campers.
Please note, the availability of certain sites is weather-dependent.
👣 Exploration of the property is by FOOT or bicycle only. 🚲 Vehicles are NOT permitted to drive around the property except when travelling to and from designated campsite.

We have a beautiful deepwater lake that's perfect for swimming and canoeing. The property is traversed by several rainforested creeks and ravines, which are perfect for adventure hiking and rock climbing.
We can also take you horse riding around the farm for a couple of hours or to the local winery if you prefer a longer ride. We cater for all levels of riding.
We have many panoramic campsites for you to choose from. These are suited to anyone with the swag, tent, camper, caravan, or motorhome. You must be self-sufficient, with your own toilet, and we kindly ask you take all waste when you go.
For those who prefer the comforts of home we have a bunkhouse which sleeps 10 and has electricity, water, flush toilet, shower, stove, microwave and TV.
Linen is not supplied.
If you are driving 2wd, or 4wd towing a caravan or a big trailer and GPS takes you through Mountain View Rd - do not go that way - go through Dayboro Rd.
For those without transport Dakabin train station is 25 min from the farm. Pick up and drop off to the station can be arranged. There is a wide variety of shops and restaurants less than 10 min away.

The closest dump point is Caboolture Showgrounds (140 Beerburrum Road, Caboolture 4510), which is open 24/7 and approximately 15 km from The Magic Pond.

Option 1:
Via Flagstone onto Bushman Drive – then into Wyatt road follow to the end and turn right onto undullah road follow for 5 ks .
we approximately 14 km from the Flagstone Shopping Centre.
Please note: 10 km of this route is gravel road. 4x4 vehicle access is recommended.
Option 2:
From the Centenary Freeway roundabout, at ripley head 21 km along Ripley Road, which continues and changes name to Undullah Road.
This route is 4x4 access is recommended with some narrow bends – please drive to conditions. We do have 2 wheel drives make the journey !

-Push bikes,
Brisbane Valley Rail Trail is 5min away if you jump on at Borallon Station Rd. Some cattle tracks for the kids to ride along in the paddock also.
-Wivenhoe, Somerset Dam in the area for water sports
-Wildlife watching, this paddock sustains a large variety of native animals, if you’ve got a keen eye
-Bottle Tree pub is just down the road, - bit more than walking distance tho :)

The campsites are nestled in the groves of trees next to the creek. There's some great swimming spots, or you can go for a bushwalk and do a spot of fossicking on the water's edge.
Some parts of our property are 4WD access only, but we also have good camping spots that can accommodate 2WDs.

Campfires are welcome when there is no fire ban — there’s nothing better than gathering around the flames under a starlit sky. We will supply the fire pit and when available on the property you can collect your own kindling and firewood or we have some for purchase.
Our family lives on the property and loves sharing it with others. You’ll meet our five friendly mini cows,
2 lovely goats and many curious chickens — all happy to be patted and fed apples, bread and hay — plus our two dogs who call this place home. We’re also pet-friendly, just please keep your furry friends on leads at all times.

Please note... our campsite has been ongoing since 2017 and campers have kindly shared their many happy memories. Over the years, things change. Please take the photos lightly.
There is no vehicular boat ramp but still excellent access for other small watercraft. Due to the steep track to the camp area we insist on 4WD’s only - though you can walk down if feeling energetic!
Please bring drinking water and a desire to leave the riverside just as you found it. We have enough room for around 20 people in tents or camper trailers.
Portaloo toilet available at the campsite.
Campfires are permitted in the circle but please be mindful of any restrictions. You can purchase firewood from us if needed.
Dogs are also welcome but must stay with you at all times. Please let us know they are coming as well.

Escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy a relaxing stay on our beautiful 3-acre property in Tamborine. Guests are welcome to set up their camping equipment anywhere on the left-hand side of the property (as you look from the road), giving you approximately 1.5 acres of open space to enjoy.
If you don't have your own fire pit, you're welcome to use our bonfire area, and firewood can be supplied for an additional cost.
Conveniently located just 6 minutes from the famous Bearded Dragon Hotel and approximately 30 minutes from the top of Mount Tamborine, our property makes the perfect base for exploring the region's many attractions, wineries, walking trails, markets, and scenic lookouts.
Guests must be self-sufficient.

We loved our spot at Lagoon Lane at Lakeview. It was private, picturesque and full of interesting and melodious birdlife. The whole site is well set up for families with lots of water slide fun, playground, table tennis etc. Walking around the lake, everywhere was tidy and clean and there was plenty of space between campers. We didn't get to meet the owners, however, they've done a great job making this an attractive, private and peaceful place to camp.

This camp is on the rear of a large property in Belmont. Close to central Brisbane and the motorways. For a camp in the city, it's quiet, without too much road noise. Power, water, sunny.... everything you need but you must be self-contained.

As we had an event at the Brisbane Aquatic Centre, Craig’s place spot on. Plenty of space for our kelpie to run around. Craig was easy to deal with and made feel comfortable and welcomed. Highly recommend.
