Unfortunately on arrival someone had set up on our spot so we had to wait for them to pack up and leave before we could get in. This is not the owners fault. The swimming hole itself was a bit of a let down, a small swimming area with one deep section. This spot has so much potential but for the price we paid we would not return.

Was a great little secluded spot! Lovely shaded creek to swim in, water was about hip deep and clear after the rain. Close to town and a friendly host!

Very peaceful, great star gazing at night. Not the best creek for swimming but ok to explore. Don’t park directly under the big tree as wolf spiders like to make camp next to you but otherwise a relaxing time.

The Swimming Hole At Ferny Glen
We absolutely loved our stay here … a private little slice of paradise. Whether it was the peaceful flowing creek, the curious cows passing by or having the entire place to ourselves, every moment felt special. With beautiful shade, rich birdlife and a magical night sky, it was the perfect escape.

The Swimming Hole At Ferny Glen
We decided at last minute to go camping for the weekend. This spot was only 50 mins away and looked lovely. When we arrived we turned into the wrong driveway which is how we met Bryce and his beautiful pooch. After some direction we found our very secluded spot just down the road. Site B. Not another soul around, just us and a beautiful flowing creek. The spot for our camper had been mowed and was flat. We enjoyed our first night here even though the rain came down pretty heavy. We sadly decided to head home early as soggy dogs are not fun. But we cannot wait to head back again in better weather and have a float around in the clear creek.

Silky oak flat is absolutely the best Hipcamp I’ve been to. It’s a large flat site with shade and right bedside the running creek where you can just sit on the rocks and let the water splash over you or swim in the deeper swimming holes the water is crystal clear and very refreshing, I loved to sit and watch the turtles swimming.
Bryce is very friendly and accommodating with the firewood. Can’t wait to get back there in the near future

The Swimming Hole At Ferny Glen
This was our second stay here and once again we had a great time. The site is peaceful, well spaced, and perfect for a quiet getaway surrounded by nature. Everything felt just as good as the first visit, which says a lot. It’s a place you can really relax and unwind. We enjoyed it so much that we’ll definitely be coming back again.

We had a lovely time! Great spot with easy access to a swimming hole which was a great depth for the kids to take floats in and have a proper swim with shallow sections for paddling too.
Private with easy access to the main. 100% recommend! We will be back!

What an amazing place, the site is massive, so secluded, private and peaceful. Two beautiful swimming holes to cool off in. Access to the creek is easy and there is a rope to assist getting in and out for the deeper swimming hole. The wildlife is amazing to sit and watch and the cows come right up to the roped off site too. Would highly recommend this site to anyone. The hosts are brilliant, so friendly and great communication and to be able to buy firewood from them makes the stay so much better. We will be back again for sure!

The swimming hole is a beautiful little spot all to yourself right beside the running creek with crystal clear deeper spots and the water wasn’t freezing cold. The area is flat with plenty of shade for summer, or there is sunny areas for winter.
Bryce was super friendly and accomodating delivering the firewood.
Having phone reception is a bonus.
We love this spot and will definitely be back soon.

Had a great stay and the site was exactly as described. The spot is well signed and we loved the natural setting by the running creek. Bryce is excellent with his communication. Enjoyed it so much we are back for a second visit already!

Shhhhh - Don't tell anyone how great this camp site is.
Right on the edge of a creek, grassy and flat, wildlife, privacy, good fire pit.

We loved our stay at Bryce’s camp spot! Right next to the beautiful running creek with a spot deep enough to swim and cool off in! Communication was amazing and having our firewood waiting a bonus! We will definitely be back! One of our favourite HipCamps to date!
