Janita was quick to respond to our enquiries before our stay and gave clear instructions to find the address. Upon arrival we were greated by there dog Mary and there grandparents who were friendly and helpful in bringing over a firepit as well as giving us a heads up about the steep drop down to the creek as we have small children. We enjoyed being guided around by Mary who visited us quiet a few times for pats. The playground kept the kids entertained between day trips and we found hidden creek to be the perfect spot inbetween everything we had planned. We enjoyed feeding the goats and the shower and toilet was a pleasant bonus. In future when we head north we will definitely be back to spend a few nights.

Flynn's camp at Hidden Creek was a lovely, quiet and shady spot. The owners were very helpful in collecting rocks and setting up a fire pit for us as we had not brought our own. Great access to Myrtle Creek with their free kayaks and very reasonably priced firewood, snacks and goat treats. Thanks for a nice weekend.

2 nights at Hidden Creek Farm Qld

Can easily miss it coming along the road but the owners gave clear instructions. As we arrived we were greeted by Mary the boarder collie. Without saying anything she guided us to Fraser's field and hanged around while we set up camp. Had the worst weather which resulted in flooding. The owners were nice and offered us to stay as the roads out were cut off. Beautiful field and a nice walk to the creek, guided by Mary of course. Was a awesome little relaxing getaway.

We loved our 3 night stay here, despite the rain on night 3. The huge campsites meant we felt like we were the only ones there. Jennifer popped down to see us and she was lovely to have a chat with. Even left us with some fresh eggs. Despite there being cattle on the property, the paddock wasn’t full of cow pats like other places we’ve been too and didn’t have the strong cow pee smell of other places. If you like peaceful, quiet and private camping you’ll love this spot. Thanks Jennifer 🙂

I would recommend Chrissy and Duane’s Cabin. Such a nice experience to feed the cows. Chrissy and Duanne were such welcoming and great hosts. The cabin was so cosy and comfortable as well.

We only stayed one night but loved it. Beautiful big green space to park, lots of kangaroos and views of K’gari. John was an incredible host and took us on a little tour through the veggie patch, the kids loved getting to try lots of new things fresh from the garden.

Weekend Trip to Big Rocks Bush Retreat

Plenty of camp sites to choose from, small to large. Open sites to surrounded by trees. Creek had a slight flow to it, made it feel a little tropical compared to the bush up top. Hosts were friendly, the animals were cute, we checked out the communal area and would be a good area to have some drinks and make some new mates. Tracks were a little overgrown but added to the fun of driving around finding a spot. Would come again to do the walk. Might need a map for next time though.

Rosgrow Farm Camping

Rosgrow Farm, 15 minutes off the Bruce Highway, offers secluded campsites set on a large tidal creek. There are plenty of trees and shelter. The creek offers fishing, crabbing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, boating and swimming. Fire pits and picnic areas make the sites perfect for evening relaxation with bird life and jumping fish, talking about the day's fishing or eating the day's crab catch. Limited firewood is sometimes available. It can be bought at a reasonable price about 6km along the road towards Burrum Heads.. Campers must be self-contained with their own toilet and shower and need to remove their rubbish. Particularly suitable for RVs and caravans with own toilet. Well suited for overnight travelers passing between Maryborough and Bundaberg, or others needing a few days rest, fishing or water activities. Sandflies are a problem in this region anywhere near water, in the mornings until about 9am and in the evenings after about 3:30pm, so bring plenty of repellent and apply early and often. Sites are 30-40 metres apart with a maximum of 8 vehicles and their occupants.

We have horses and cattle and it is a quiet and peaceful spot to kick back and relax. Just 5 minutes from Smiths Crossing for fresh water fishing, canoeing or swimming or go to Moore Park for a swim, surf or take the bike and use their great cycling paths. Other beaches close by are Miara, Norval Park and further away are Winfield, Baffle creek and the iconic Agnes Waters and 1770. All great spots to fish or crab. The Avondale Pub is 1km away with great meals and drinks, and the Bucca Pub is 10 minutes away with weekend entertainment. Jo's road house is just up the road and has all the essentials food wise with great pizzas, and fuel. Next to Jo's is an RACQ centre and mechanics. All this at your fingertips or just kick back and enjoy the peace and quiet in amongst the large gum trees and native lemon scented gums. Please note: no late arrivals after 6pm please.

Our property is located halfway between Gympie and Maryborough (approx. 20 minutes from the Bruce Highway) tucked away down a private road which is lovely and peaceful. We have some walking trails located on the Camp Grounds to take in the scenery, or for the more adventurous located behind the office are longer walking trails with spectacular views at the top. There is a bike track and playground with Mini Putt Putt to keep the kids amused! Currently an RC track in the making for the remote 4WD enthusiasts. Easy access to the Mary River if you would like a spot of fishing, swimming or kayaking. Keep your eye out for the platypus and Mary River Turtles. We also have fire pits available at most sites with plenty of free firewood to collect around the property. Your fury friends are more than welcome but for the safety of them and others must be on a lead at all times. We are located about 50 minutes from Gympie, an hour 15 minutes from Rainbow Beach and or Hervey Bay and 45 minutes from Maryborough. The town of Tiaro is only 15 minutes down the road which has a Foodworks, Pub, United Fuel and Cafe. Don't forget the local Gundy Pub is only 5 minutes down the road. We have 7 gorgeous Scottish Highlands, the Scottish folk pronounce it "Heilen Coos" so that's how we say it, I'm not spelling it wrong 🤩😆You'll meet Kelvin the Scottish Highland Bull, Oakley her calf Lucy, Willow and her calf Ferdinand (Ferdi), and our new additions Dusty and Maddi, they can be both fun and relaxing to watch doing zoomies around the yard, swimming in the dam or chilling under a tree 😁 Keep in mind from December to March we have hot, rainy summers. For the adventurous campers who use swags/tents, we suggest a stretcher and a gazebo with walls for a little comfort. Some areas need 4wd also. Check in is after 1pm and check out is strictly before 10.30am, we promise you will get your 'Heilen Coo' fix 😝 We have Souvineers and firewood please bring cash 😍 Be mindful around all animals as they get to know you, be smart please. Kids can bring bikes, must be supervised at all times, no screaming or running. Pets are welcome, we have 2 dogs Jesse and Cane, who are both very friendly. Our Maremma is an Italian breed of livestock gaurdian dog, he does bark a little at night to protect our pets, which goes hand in hand with all of our other farm noises 😉 Our Neighbours have fish farms, you may hear the odd gun go off, just to scare the shags away from feeding in the ponds. It's totally safe. Feel free to put on some music and have a few drinks by the campfire, but we want our farm to be a place where our animals and our guests feel safe and relaxed, so we do not accommodate noisy parties. Relax and unwind with a book or go for a bush walk and listen to the kookaburras. Watch Sea Eagles, pelican, wild budgies, rainbow lorikeet and more. All your cares will feel like they are a million miles away as you soak up nature, we guarantee you will have an amazing experience. 6 Kms in at our historic Childers there is a Woolworths, IGA, great pubs for lunch, cafes and bakeries, plus a swimming pool, museum, snakes down under and Woodgate beach 25 mins away.

Virtue Farm is a 33 acre property overlooking K'Gari (Fraser Island). It includes 27 acres of remnant forest which will never be developed. The forest is an oasis for bird life, koalas, echidnas, and other animals and is great for walking. You will see loads of kangaroos to your site. You must have your own toilet to stay here and be able to remove all grey water. Our regional council does not allow us to host swag/tent campers. Tents and swags may be permitted if accompanied by an RV or caravan, please ask us first. Virtue Farm is a council approved self-contained recreational vehicle ground. Arrival after dark is by prior arrangement only as we have no lighting on the farm. We are 10 minutes from Hervey Bay and 10 minutes from the K'Gari (Fraser Island) barge that leaves from River Heads. and only 10 minutes drive to Hervey Bay's beautiful beaches We are building a productive, diverse permaculture farm incorporating a market garden, food forest and small volume egg production. From your campsite, on our farm block, you will have sensational views to K'Gari (Fraser Island) whilst being surrounded by 27 acres of bushland that is reserved for nature and registered with Land for Wildlife. Expect to see amazing colours at sunrise and sunset. Enjoy the many birds and animals that you will see as you spend time exploring our bush and farm. There's the added bonus of a range of fresh, organically grown produce to be harvested daily at a small extra cost. You will love the peace and quiet of our block and the huge array of wildlife that choose to call our place home. To preserve this tranquility, pets and rowdy groups are not suited to this camp site. You are welcome to camp in family and friendship groups. If camping in a group you can choose how closely to camp near each other. If not with a group you must be at least 20m away from other campers to respect their privacy. Welcome to 'Evergreen' a 2500 acre property in Gundiah on the banks of the beautiful Mary River. We are beef cattle graziers and we have a 1500 fruit tree orchard. We work hard, yet enjoy relaxing by the river. We have working dogs, 30 free range chickens, 3 donkeys, 1 house cat, 1 parrot and approximately 750 head of cattle of various ages. You can learn about the farm and book one of our tours, or just relax and enjoy the views. Join us for Sundowners & Dinner at the homestead on Saturday night only. Sundowners in the paddock for sunset followed by dinner at the house. We offer a number of options, three of which are open to camping of all types from tents through to motorhomes. The Hut campsite is a flat 'ledge' that has on old hut built on it. This old hut is derelict now, however, the original owner used it for 'tordoning crews'. The Ridge traverses the entire length of Evergreen. From the ridge you have views in all directions. We have a beautiful large dam, where our Dam campsite is located, that is home to turtles, water dragons and birds. We also have the Beachy River campsite which is only accessible by 4x4 vehicles and walk in campers. Guests must be self-contained with own toilet. Campfires permitted.

Clear skies with stars by the thousands, find your constellations whilst visiting. Tiaro main street is only 3 mins away by car and is home to the well-known Tiaro butcher and the Tiaro Christmas Cottage. Maryborough 20 mins and Gympie 40 mins. Perfect position to base and explore from. More and more features and facilities are being added slowly so keep an eye out! On the plans are showers, special event nights, projector screen movies, kids playground, outdoor kitchen, and picnic table areas…… No powered sites but we have a power point in the toilet block for device charging.. Fraser Coast

Burrum Heads sits on the northern edge of the Fraser Coast, where highlights include whale-watching in Hervey Bay, the heritage town of Maryborough, and the Urangan Pier near Torquay. Further south, Fraser Island is the headline act of the Great Sandy National Park, but the mainland Cooloola area has tent and caravan campsites, and is the starting point of the Great Beach Drive from Rainbow Beach to Noosa Heads.
