The location is very quiet and as it had been raining very green and lush. Nigel is very friendly and has big plans for the camp and we wish him well. Will come back next time we are in the area.

Dissapointing

Quite disappointing... not spaced out designated camp sites - Map is very misleading. Just camping in the front yard of owners house. We booked the group booking thinking we had a larger designated section- no just find a spot in the same allocated camping area. Dont understand why charge for more. PLUS neighbour had a large loud generator running - certainly not peaceful, tranquil or relaxing.... way better free camps than this place in the area. No reply from owner.

We really enjoyed the peaceful and spacious area. Lots of trees and native birds. Nigel was welcoming and gave us easy directions to get there. Easy walk to the Rockpools.

Site 1 - Reed's Residence = PRICE PER FAMILY

Fabulous private camp. We were the only ones there and it was so serene & peaceful. 30 mins away from main road, no noise, no lights, just starry skies & the sound of cracking fire. The cows made for fun entertainment for our toddler too.

This is a nice secluded and quite bush site. We were the only ones there with another family we were travelling with. Several types of "rustic" fire pits available, which was handy for the cold night we had. It would be interesting to see how much water is in the nearby creek after a bit of rain. We highly recommend Utopia Falls, which is a 1.3km one way walk from the falls carpark. The water was running enough at the falls for it to be crystal clear. A very "refreshing" temperature at this time of year 😁

Such a great Hipcamp spot! The drive in was absolutely beautiful, and there was heaps of space to pull up—even with a big rig. The fire pits were great for relaxing at night, and best of all, it’s super close to the stunning Waterfall Creek rock pools. Highly recommend!

Love the isolation away from the seething crowds of a caravan park - property was mown and easy access and love having a fire every night / good little mountain bike ride to the boulders but no water atm so not so spectacular

Rock Pools

It was a simple walk to the Waterfall Creek carpark. The walk to the Rock Pools was only 20mins and an OK track. The walk is worth it because the pools are stunning!

Perfect position to visit the rock pools but we felt that the description and site information was misleading. Sites are unmarked (as in un-numbered) and the map does not correctly reflect the sites.

Disappointing

Communication was not very good at all. We “apparently” got a msg after booking from the host but the content was completely empty. We followed the instructions upon arrival, which were clear and easy to follow, we parked in the designated area and messaged the host. After one hour, we decided to drive around the site areas to see if we could spot where we might be parking but nowhere was obvious as far as being mowed. Absolutely no one was around, and still no response from the host. That is until the following day, when he msg’d to say “sorry, i must’ve missed you this morning”. We did pay for two nights (which made his msg confusing), but we decided without knowing exactly where we were meant to be and that we in the middle of nowhere, that we would move on to Childers.

Large grassy sites and so close to the beautiful creek for swimming. We chose Nigel’s as it’s so close to Utopia falls which is just stunning and great for swimming We will be back for sure

Spectacular Views

Nigel was a very informative host with a nice flat property and plenty of shade. The creek runs adjacent to the property which is just a short walk down the drive and back along the creek. When we went there had been plenty of rain and the creek was much bigger than we expected, which was great! Plenty of room to swim in! The Rock Pools and waterfalls are the draw for this area. Be prepared for a 25min steady walk from the carpark just around the corner from the camp. The trail is small, and gets very slippery with wet weather. So be prepared! The rock pools were definitely worth the effort!! Absolutely loved it! We will be returning very soon! Thanks Nigel!

The campground is close enough to the Waterfall Creek carpark, though a bit of a walk is involved. Easy to drive to though. The campground itself has no facilities, but was nicely cleared. There is a camp kitchen type of open building at the entrance to the campground.

Nigel was very welcoming and gave us some great advice for our adventures! Peaceful stay with a stunning creek just 2 mins walk from the camp! Short hike from camp to reach utopia falls too! Camp fire allowed. 2WD accessible.

Quiet simple camp space

It was very private and quiet. Simple but perfect! We were self sufficient and it was great. Even had a little storm as we arrived There was neatly stacked free firewood for us to use which we were very grateful for.
