Please note: The property is split into two distinct areas—1770 Eco Camp and Grass Trees Campground—each with its own facilities and rules. It is a 15-minute walk from one area to another, uphill from 1770 Eco Camp to Grass Trees. Take time to review both and choose the one that best suits your stay.
Grass Trees Campground sits high on one of the region’s tallest mountain tops, offering sweeping views over Agnes Water, the 1770 Estuary and sandbar, Bustard Bay, and Eurimbula National Park. Sunrises and sunsets here are nothing short of spectacular. Choose from 20 unpowered sites or glamping tents—ideal for those who want the camping experience without the gear. On-site amenities include a new toilet and shower block, camp kitchen, communal firepit, wood-fired pizza oven, and a magnesium swimming pool. As a wildlife sanctuary, no pets are allowed.
1770 Eco Camp, located at the base of the mountain and just 2 minutes from town, offers a peaceful bushland escape. Camp under the stars or opt for a glamping tent surrounded by tropical gardens and freshwater dams. Facilities include a modern toilet and shower block, communal kitchen with BBQs and firepit, and a rustic chill-out zone with pool table and kids’ games. Our location places guests between the Australian Bush and the Coast, close to Eurimbula National Park, Agnes Water, the Town of 1770 and the Southern Great Barrier Reef.

From the Marina, you can depart to Lady Musgrave Island, enjoy 1 hr to full day tour on the iconic Larcs and enjoy spectacular sunsets.The are some must-visit small businesses in the area including Rusty Pelican Fish and Chips, Pancake Creek Tours, Katrina's Bar (for sunset drinks) and Marina Cafe (for best coffee and vanilla slice).There are no facilities here, campers will need to be self contained and leave no trace. We are a family built and run property set amongst tropical gardens on 15 acres with a pretty small private lake and swimming pool.
Our communal building has lots of power points, hot showers, flushing toilets, free Wifi, pool table, BBQ and dining areas.
We are PET FRIENDLY, and dogs must remain on leads or runs whilst on the property. Please note that animals are not permitted in any of the undercover common areas or swimming pool enclosure. We are a short 2 minute drive to the new Agnes Central shopping center, 5 minutes to Agnes Water town centre and local beaches, and a 15 minute drive to the beautiful town of 1770.

Also, we’re surrounded by beautiful bushland, and it’s not uncommon to see kangaroos and other wildlife around. To help protect them—and keep your dog safe too—please make sure they don’t chase or wander.

Dragon fruit gardens. We produce fruit from November until May.
We have over 100 different varieties of dragon fruit, with each one having different foliage characteristics and tastes, like watermelon, lime, coconut, lychee and more.
Half of our 3.7 Acres is farm forestry that we are building a syntropic farm in.
We are 5km from the beach, 4.5 km from the nearest supermarket and 13km from 1770 headland.
12km to the north we have Eurimbula National Park where you can explore middle creek and Eurimbula creek.
8km to the South we have Deep-Water National Park, where you can discover by 4wd some amazing uncrowded beaches.
Close by we have Agnes Water main beach, Workman’s beach, Chinamans beach and Springs beach to explore.
1770 headland offers a short walk with an amazing view.
Every second Sunday at the 1770 rotary park we have a local market which is a great place to pick up fresh fruit and veg.
Agnes water and 1770 has that small town feel and slowed-down pace with lots of friendly locals making it a great place to explore, take a deep breath and relax.
We do not provide power, water or toilet this is for off grid campers only.

Set amongst the bush in beautiful Agnes Water, our property is a relaxed place to pull up, spread out and enjoy a quieter pace for a few days.
The Pad is a large powered site situated on a 4 acre property overlooking the bush and dam, with plenty of open space to set up the van, roll out the awning and make yourself at home.
The property has a real laid-back bush feel — palms, open spaces, a dam, plenty of birdlife and quiet evenings around the fire. There’s room to relax without feeling crowded, while still being close to Agnes Water and everything the area has to offer.
Nothing fancy, just a great little patch of Agnes Water to park up, slow down and enjoy.
NOTE: Due to the dry conditions, please minimise size of fire and follow the QLD Fire Safety Advice at all times. Please use your own self standing fire pit, do not light fire directly on the gravel.
- Pets are welcome but please keep on lead as much as possible to prevent disturbances to the wildlife and the Ducks (Gold and Silver) who live in the dam.
- You are more than welcome to use firewood throughout the property but please only use the stuff on the ground, do not chop down trees.
- Take your rubbish and sewage with you, any dumping on the property will
be reported. Please use designated dump point at the 1770 SES Grounds.

It was quiet and a spacious area, easy access with our 20' caravan. We stayed at camp site "2" which I think has more sun than camp site "1" for the sun recharging your solar. We had the area to ourselves. The caravan parks in Agnes Waters and 1770 were packed in so we were happy we had the choice to stay here. Thank you.

Favourite campsite we’ve stayed at! The family who own the site are super lovely, we were made to feel very welcome straight away. The site is beautiful, very well maintained, lots of places to camp and spread out. The site felt very peaceful and safe, nice little walks and wildlife to see. Very clean amenities with nice hot showers! Great distance from the village too!! Would absolutely recommend staying here if you are visiting Agnes waters/1770

A wonderful camping site
Quiet, peaceful green lawns. It looks like a park with a lovely lake/dam. It’s so pretty and I would definitely be coming back here again.
For $24 a night unpowered it was just the best. I didn’t actually want to leave but I had other commitments so next year I’ll do it again.

This was a relaxing stay, we had 2 nights it was quiet and the facilities - toilets and showers were 10/10. We even cooked pizza and garlic bread in the wood fired pizza oven that is at the common area. Highly recommend. Thank you.
