If you bring your horse, for an additional fee, you can explore our arena featuring dressage letters, obstacles, drums, and jumps, or test your skills in a dedicated area with permanent obstacles.
For your convenience, our well-equipped camp kitchen includes a fridge, toaster, kettle, electric frypan, and microwave, along with all the necessary cutlery and crockery. Please remember to clean up after using the kitchen to keep it welcoming for everyone.
In the kitchen area you will also find a pool table and dart board and arcade game for your use.
If you choose to bring your horse you will find stabling or yards under Extras as begin your booking. The cost can be seen as you view the sites. The stables are rubber floored, meaning you use minimal sawdust therefore minimal dust. They are equipped with automatic waterers and feed bins. The yards are separated so that the horses can't reach each other from one yard to the other. Please ensure these areas are cleaned before you leave. There are rakes and wheelbarrows provided near the arena and at the end of the stables for your convenience.
Our sites are best suited to self contained camping but there is shower and toilet availability on the property. There is a dump site situated in Crescent St Childers

Keep in mind from December to March we have hot, rainy summers. For the adventurous campers who use swags/tents, we suggest a stretcher and a gazebo with walls for a little comfort. Some areas need 4wd also.

Pets are welcome, we have 2 dogs Jesse and Cane, who are both very friendly. Our Maremma is an Italian breed of livestock gaurdian dog, he does bark a little at night to protect our pets, which goes hand in hand with all of our other farm noises 😉
Our Neighbours have fish farms, you may hear the odd gun go off, just to scare the shags away from feeding in the ponds. It's totally safe.
Feel free to put on some music and have a few drinks by the campfire, but we want our farm to be a place where our animals and our guests feel safe and relaxed, so we do not accommodate noisy parties.
Relax and unwind with a book or go for a bush walk and listen to the kookaburras. Watch Sea Eagles, pelican, wild budgies, rainbow lorikeet and more. All your cares will feel like they are a million miles away as you soak up nature, we guarantee you will have an amazing experience.

We have 100 acres of paradise with many sites to choose from, either along our 300m of Burnett river frontage or along the winding Duingal creek tucked into seclusion.

There's some great fishing here including barramundi, perch, yellow belly mullet, gar - and plenty of catfish to keep the kids entertained!

communication, and we are also only 18km from Gin Gin and
around 50km from Bundaberg.

Bundaberg has attractions such as the Bundy Rum Distillery, Ginger Beer Factory, a free zoo, Mon Repos Turtle Centre, lower Great Barrier Reef cruises to Lady Musgrave Island for snorkelling, great beaches some with 4WD access. Gin Gin is on the main highway to head north or south. Easy access from here to National Parks for walks and 4WDing.
Being a hobby farm we have livestock in a paddock in the backyard. If you would like to join us for feeding in the afternoons please ask on arrival. Feeding happens between 4 and 6pm depending on time of year. We also have chickens that free range around the campsite at the front of the property who will happily take any of your scraps.

Susan River Homestead Adventure Resort was established in 1978 & over the past 39 years has concentrated on giving tourists an experience to remember for all the right reasons, this family owned friendly Resort also holds Weddings, Conferences & outdoor horsemanship spectaculars.
Over the past 2 years we have found that many of our wonderful long term clients have turned to camping, caravanning & RV’s & many have requested to stay, so to bring them back to the Homestead we have established facilities that will cater to their needs.
The Resort offers horse riding which is recognised as outstanding by our many return clients & horse lovers worldwide. Enjoy water sports on the resorts own 17 acre lake or use the tennis courts, swimming pool, in-ground trampoline & BBQ area.
On the property but operated by other entities is a High Low Ropes Courses, Abseiling Tower & Gel Ball Facilities, Susan River Homestead is an adventure lover’s dream. Camping , Caravans & RV sites are available at Susan River Homestead all year round, limited powered sites are available.

Hidden Creek Farm QLD, A slice of nature26 Acres nestled on the banks of Myrtle creek where farm meets forest. Camp with us on our open grassy fields or amongst the trees.
One vehicle with one camp set up permitted per site only. This is so we all have plenty of room and not camping in top of each other.
There is plenty to see and enjoy.
- Wind back with a couple of drinks at our picturesque creek Lookout.
- Jump on a kayak and paddle through the rain forest. (Kayaks free to use)
- Spot the local Fauna including Turtles, Echidnas, kangaroos, Mary River cod and the uncountable bird species.

The 5 flat grassy sites are right on the rivers edge with good access to the water. The stairs into the water with the pontoon are perfect for diving in and cooling off, the kids love it!!Leave your boat in tied to the pontoon ready for the next days fishing trip. There's a BBQ with hop plate, table & chairs and deck chairs to sit back and relax.Access to the campsites are 2Wd and suitable for all size caravans and camp trailers. The boat ramp access is for all types of boats but 4x4 only as the ramp is gravel. River Run Farm Camping is situated on the banks of the beautiful Mary River within the spectacular Fraser Coast region.
The historic Maryborough town centre and the quaint village of Tiaro is right on our doorstep for anything you may have left behind or if you just feel like a country pub meal and a cold beer.
We offer large grassy mowed sites both powered and unpowered, river front and tree shaded areas with some unpowered sites having their own fire pits.
Fully equipped large camp kitchen with microwave, television, fridge,fire place and BBQ's, large communal firepit great for camp ovens and power points to charge your devices and a Playground for the Kids.
We offer the best hot showers with beautifully clean toilets; our amenities even contain a washing machine and a kid’s bathroom with a claw foot bath. A Dump point is located at the front of our property.
River Run offers: farm animals, swimming, excellent fresh water Fishing (Bass, Barra, yellow belly, prawn and silver perch), boat ramp, bike track and kayaking on the river is spectacular.
River run has an amazing variety of bird life due to the large body of fresh water and pristine habitat creating a great environment for spotting native animals including wallabies, echidna and platypus, which have been sighted at the boat ramp.
We are pet friendly too as long as your animals remain on a leash and are under full supervision at all times.
River Run is only a short drive away from lots of great experiences, Markets, Mural trail, horse riding, adventure activities, history, museums, Festivals, art and culture that are sure to inspire.
Thursday is market day in Marybrough with live music, town tours, great food fruit and veggies.
Book a horse riding adventure with Hucknall Horses only 10mins away or drive on up to Hervey Bay and go whale watching or day trip to the incredible Fraser Island or Rainbow Beach.
4wd in one of the many local forestry areas and see the brumby herds.
There is so much to see and do on the Fraser Coast.

We stopped off for one night and the owners kindly met us after check-in time and showed us the site. Lots of space and a great camp kitchen and toilet/shower. Petting the goats and chickens in the morning was a great way to start our day :)

Excellent location wide open area perfect for Big Rigs with lovely view to the lake. Free kayaks to paddle out too. Lots of animals and toys for kids. Higly recommended. Water available if needed.

This camping spot is an absolute gem. The peaceful atmosphere made it the perfect place to switch off and unwind. The dam was maintained and ideal for enjoying a paddle on the kayaks or a refreshing swim. The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Fire pits and firewood were available upon request. There was also the added option of a Vietnamese cooking class when booing to stay for a small extra fee. If you’re budget conscious and looking for serenity, nature and genuine hospitality, this place delivers it all. Highly recommended.

Weekend Trip to Bucca Country River Retreat
Spent the weekend in the cabin. Was perfect. The property is immaculate. The grass sites are pristine and will be booking again with our caravan and some friends.

We had such a great staybeven for ONE night. The shower setup was honestly one of the most intuitive and easy-to-use we’ve come across at a campsite — simple, practical, and just works!! The whole property has a relaxed, welcoming feel, and Mary the dog absolutely made our trip. She’s so friendly that even our 2year old ran off playing with her like they’d known each other for years!!!

I had a nice conversation with Karen even though I got there late at night, she was still happy to have a chat.
The property is pretty flat and grassy so off grid camping is perfect but I would say the best part is how close it is to the ocean. You cannot see it because of the large dune that barriers the wind but you can certainly hear the waves crashing.

It was an amazing spot for our Caravan but there is also many other sites for all kinds of camping all just as great. The camp kitchen area was enormous with a well equiped kitchen, beyond expectations. Bathrooms were extremely clean and the showers had great water pressure.
It was so quiet and peaceful the whole 4 nights we were there. The highlight of my stay was feeding the 2 Donkeys, 2 Miniature Horses and Horse carrots every afternoon.
