Was a great place to stay, well sheltered and plenty of space. Would be great for a large group. Karen was lovely & full of information. Perfect spot if you were to go between Jan -March to see the Turtles. Some interesting wildlife as well..!!

We loved our stay at this hip camp - close to a walking/bike path. Limited campsites meant privacy and a quiet setting to relax. Kangaroos in the afternoon and lovely ocean breeze. Local to Turtle Centre, Bunderberg and Burnett Heads.

Lovely spot and so close to the beach too. Level grassed area with Kangaroos dropping by in the morning and evening. Would come back again.

Nice open, grassy area, plenty of room for parking camper trailer, caravan. Almost beach front, can hear the waves. Was quiet when we were there for the weekend of Lighthouse Rock, only a few other campers, is a nice quiet area.
Karen came and met us not long after arriving to give us some information about what is nearby.
Was a very relaxing, enjoyable stay.
No amenities on site, however, public toilets about a 5min drive.

Nice quiet camp spot. Plenty of flat & open ground to camp on and not over crowded. Was good to hear the ocean in the background. Sites have a nice carpet of grass so shoes off around the camp was even better.
Karen was very friendly and extremely helpful and would recommend this camp. Beach is very rocky but can find spots along the coastal pathway for a dip if you wanted too. Thanks Karen

Large grassed sites with heaps of room. The property sits right adjacent to the ocean. I fished off the rocks and caught a variety of species. There is also a small beach nearby. Between the property and the ocean is a walking/bike path that goes south to the Turtle centre and beyond or you can go North into town. Karen welcomed us on arrival and was very friendly and informative.

Lovely spot right near the beach. Very quiet and peaceful. Can hear the waves ☺️ Cycle/walkway that goes along the coast is right out front. Highly recommend, and Karen is a fabulous host.

We loved staying in Karen’s beautiful, peaceful land. It was close to the beach and had a lovely morning riding my bike to Mon Repos turtle centre along the bike track that ran alongside the ocean. We look forward to staying there again.

I had a nice conversation with Karen even though I got there late at night, she was still happy to have a chat.
The property is pretty flat and grassy so off grid camping is perfect but I would say the best part is how close it is to the ocean. You cannot see it because of the large dune that barriers the wind but you can certainly hear the waves crashing.

Absolutely awesome quiet secluded site, close to beach and walking track. Nice sea breeze to keep you cool. Well maintained property close to Burnett river and Bagara. Stayed 2 nights and couldn't fault location. Host was very informative of local area.

We had a wonderful stay at Mon Repos Pines, peaceful and enjoyable. We were lucky enough to be able to see some loggerhead turtles attempting to lay their eggs on the nearby beach, what an experience!!. We will definitely be coming back again!!

This is an amazing Hipcamp, where Karen and her husband, were incredibly welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived. The location is fantastic, just a short distance from Sharky Beach, where we were lucky enough to witness turtles coming up each evening. It was truly an incredible and unforgettable experience to watch.
The camp itself was quiet and peaceful, with beautiful sea breezes that made it perfect for relaxing and unwinding. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would highly recommend this Hipcamp to anyone looking for a special coastal escape.

The host was very welcoming and gave us heads up for turtle watching. Beach and path close by was beautiful. When we had issues with our car the following day the host even graciously allowed us to check out late which saved us a lot of trouble. Would highly recommend!

Nice place very close to the beach. The four sites are spread out nicely. Had a short and quiet stay there.
Be aware that the beach walk to the turtle center (if you plan to visit there) are closed 6pm to 6am during turtle season and you will have to drive your way over there for the night Explorer tour.

Site 2 - Mon Repos Pines
An excellent spot to spend a few days, Mon Repos Pines is perfectly placed to explore the area. The 4 sites are all situated along the southern fence line of a large field adjacent to the owners’ property, very quiet and just a few steps from the walk/cycle track which follows the coastline from Burnett Heads in the north to just beyond Bargara in the south. The beach close by is virtually covered by black rocks but there is a sandy strip which can be used to access the water when the tide is low (high tide covers this strip). The 4 sites are spaced out next to each other but there is not a lot of room in between each site so when they are all occupied everyone could be quite close. They only take up a small length of the fence line so it would be great if there could be more space between sites, but maybe the council does not allow this. Site 1 is nearest the pathway but is not quite as level as the other sites. We would certainly recommend this camp site to other travellers.

Amazing place! Super well located. So peaceful as we were the only ones camping. It’s near Mon Repos beach and the grass is very well maintained! Will be back :)
