We are beef cattle graziers and we have a 1500 fruit tree orchard. We work hard, yet enjoy relaxing by the river. We have working dogs, 30 free range chickens, 3 donkeys, 1 house cat, 1 parrot and approximately 750 head of cattle of various ages.

The Ridge traverses the entire length of Evergreen. From the ridge you have views in all directions.
We have a beautiful large dam, where our Dam campsite is located,
that is home to turtles, water dragons and birds.
We also have the Beachy River campsite
which
is only accessible by 4x4 vehicles and walk in campers.

We had a lovely night under the stars in our swag (me and my husky, Mia). Christine was super friendly and even loaned me her lantern overnight which was very appreciated. The friendly kangaroos were happy to share the space with us. If you're into nature and eco-friendly, this is the spot for you.

I stayed in the couples cabin which is an absolute steal of price. You can sleep with the doors open (mosquite net over bed) and are greeted with a menagerie of farm animals in the morning. Stunning grounds to explore and the host really goes the extra mile! I was pained to leave.

What a beautiful spot it is. Janine was very welcoming, offering fresh farm eggs, bringing extra cable to connect to the power, gifting bubbles and lending push bikes to the kids. There are few animals and hundreds of birds, it feels very serene and connected to the nature. They left wood fire for us to use. Overall it was a beautiful spot. We would love to come here again.

John and Lyn’s land feels peaceful, spacious, and very well cared for. What really stood out was the quiet natural setting and the sense of privacy—you feel properly immersed in nature rather than in a crowded campground. The hosts are warm, welcoming, and respectful of your space, which makes the stay comfortable and relaxed. It’s a great spot if you’re looking to unwind, enjoy the outdoors, and experience genuine hospitality. Enjoyed a nice hike in the morning.
There are quite a few nice trails for walking, strolling, or hiking.
John gave us a nice tour around the property.
We would love to go there again and spend more than a couple of days next time.
It was the best way to start the new year and I really needed it after working the busiest time of the year.
The best way to recharge and really appreciate the serenity.

We had the most beautiful stay at Big Rocks Hip Camp for New Year's Eve. Peaceful, spacious and genuinely special, it’s one of those places that instantly helps you exhale.
The setting is beautiful – quiet and natural so you feel immersed in nature without feeling crowded. It was ideal for our kids, who had space to explore and just be kids, and equally perfect for our dogs, who were very much living their best lives. 🐕🌿
John and Lyn are the kind of hosts that make a great place exceptional – warm, welcoming, incredibly accommodating, and clearly passionate about sharing their little slice of the world. Nothing was too much trouble, and their care and thoughtfulness really showed.

We had a wonderful experience at Fig Tree Camp. The hosts are incredibly supportive, caring, and friendly, which made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The campsite is very clean, well-secured, and well-maintained, giving us great peace of mind throughout our stay.
The surroundings are absolutely picturesque — a beautiful natural location perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature. The friendly animals around the camp added a special touch, especially for families and nature lovers.
Everything was thoughtfully organized, and you can really feel the care the hosts put into the place. This is one of the best Hipcamp stays in Queensland, and we would love to visit again without hesitation.

We recently had a fantastic time over the three days and two nights we stayed. If you are looking for space, peace and quiet, there is plenty of it here. The drive into the property is scenic, we saw a calf being born on the way in, lots of cattle, bird life including an emu & chick and horses. There's plenty to see and do, lots of wild life all over the property. Col and Blodwen were amazing and very friendly, made us feel welcome and at ease during our stay. There is plenty of camping area for larger gatherings or multiple groups. There's a RV site also for anyone to use. The directions to the property were easy to understand and if you have questions they are eager to help out. We missed the rain to get the creeks flowing but it didn't disappoint. We will be going back, most definitely.
Not forgetting our two dogs got a very well deserved time away also.

We were truly grateful for the warm welcome from Colin, who greeted us as soon as we arrived. The fantastic views, friendly farm animals, and the three loving ponies created a wonderful atmosphere that made our stay so memorable. The level site made our setup a breeze, allowing us to relax and enjoy our time there. We had a fantastic experience and can’t wait for our next visit to explore more of this beautiful haven. We enjoyed the friendly atmosphere initiated by John.
Lot's of room for us in the Main Camp.
My 7.7m long Mitsubishi Rosa (bus to motorhome conversion) handled the interesting track in from the main road without any issues at all.
I quite like this park and look forward to future camps there.

We loved staying at big rocks bush retreat. They were very accommodating and the area was just beautiful to stay. Next time. We will try out a different camp but enjoyed the one we stayed at near main camp was good to be able to bring the dogs and the bikes and have a great weekend away with family.

If you’re looking for a quiet, off-grid getaway in the North Burnett region, this is it! We stayed for one night and left wanting to stay longer! We will definitely be coming back to enjoy it again. Perfect spot to camp if you’re visiting Mt Walsh! Close to town and a short drive to the National Park. Uninterrupted view of the mountain and countryside. Nathan and Byrdie are both lovely and welcoming. 10/10
