Situated at 7,000 feet, campers are surrounded by the snow covered LaSal Mountains overlooking the deep Canyonlands NP of the Colorado River escarpment, and only 30 minutes from Moab, Utah. Summer temps are much cooler here than in the surrounding canyons and valleys of the Moab area, a very pleasant retreat from the heat! Virtually ALL outdoor sporting adventures are found around here in nearly limitless abundance, including winter sports, snowmobiling, off-roading, dirt-biking, 4-wheeling, and more. Campground has outdoor-potty, free firewood with pits.

The space was beautiful and clean! Danny the owner was so friendly and helpful. He introduced us to his Aplaccas and gave us extra firewood. The teepee was beautiful too! Definitely recommend this spot!

Great location relative to Moab, a nice view of the La Sal mountains and a great host? Doesn’t get much better. Highly, highly recommended staying at Danny’s!

It was a camping adventure with some interesting twists. Alpacas, sage brush and gusty winds creating a red dust layer on the tents and equipment.... very unusual winds, no fault of Danny! He was a great host, giving accommodations due to the unusual winds.

We absolutely loved our stay at Danny’s camp site! He was so welcoming and made us feel right at home. He gave us extra firewood and showed us around the sites. There was a stove to cook on as well as access to potable water. We had a gorgeous view of the sunset and plenty of room for our tents. It was about 25-30 minutes outside of Moab and had a gorgeous view of the night sky with little to no light pollution. We would stay here again!

We absolutely loved our stay at Danny’s. He has a million dollar view of the La Sal mountains and a heart of gold. Our kids loved playing with his dog Ringo and collecting tumble weeds on the property! Danny shared numerous travel stories with us and even gave us snacks for the road trip ahead. Highly recommend staying here if you are passing through. He goes above n beyond to make sure everyone is comfortable.

We look forward to coming back soon and exploring the area more with Danny.

The Teepee and campsites were really nicely set up with fire pits, camp kitchen area, and solar lights. Sunset was amazing! For us, the site's surroundings were a little more industrial than we expected. Danny was a very communicative host and we appreciate his hospitality.
