Best in Utah: Finalist
Named one of the best Hipcamps to visit in 2024.
Situated at 7,000 feet, campers are surrounded by the snow covered LaSal Mountains overlooking the deep Canyonlands NP of the Colorado River escarpment, and only 30 minutes from Moab, Utah. Summer temps are much cooler here than in the surrounding canyons and valleys of the Moab area, a very pleasant retreat from the heat! Virtually ALL outdoor sporting adventures are found around here in nearly limitless abundance, including winter sports, snowmobiling, off-roading, dirt-biking, 4-wheeling, and more. Campground has outdoor-potty, free firewood with pits.

Campers consistently speak highly of their experience at Danny's campsite, appreciating the serene setting and the unique opportunity to engage with farm animals. Danny's hospitality is a standout, with many noting his helpful nature and wealth of local knowledge. The campsite offers both solitude and a chance to connect with others, especially with Ringo the dog making rounds to greet guests. However, some mention that nearby noise can occasionally disrupt the tranquility, though it doesn’t seem to overshadow the overall positive experience.
