A mountain bikers dream. Over 50 miles of mountain bike trails from the property. With 238 acres, you will feel like you are the only one there. In addition, the Desert Wave Pool is at the foot of the hill which always has the same amount of water for cooling off even when the lakes are nearly empty. Learn more about this land: Wood Hill got its name because early settlers to the area used to gather wood to heat their homes on top of the plateau. It is a favorite hangout for locals who enjoy riding mountain bikes and ATVs on the property. Proceeds from the camp sites will be used to develop a climbing gym, zip line, confidence course and other fun amenities. So we hope you enjoy your stay enough to come back often.

Site 2 - West Rim View
We unfortunately arrived after dark, which made it really hard to find our site. Michelle was absent that day and had given us two options via google pins but neither really worked for us. Our car has 4wd but a low clearance. It wasn't ideal and we could hear (and feel) big rocks scrapping under our car. We ended up giving up and getting a hotel 😕

she was very communicative and helped us find the best spot for our trip. Had signs to help us to our spot because we arrived late. Thanks Michelle!

Michelle was amazing and super helpful. we initially went to the wrong part of the property and were concerned, but michelle met us in her car and showed us exactly to an accessible spot. Made it down the main road and the off roads pretty well in a Prius! Campsite was beautiful and quiet with an amazing view. Would highly recommend!

I loved camping on the mesa top and being greeted by the sunrise. It’s so peaceful and quiet I had to stay for a late checkout.

Cliff with a sunrise view!
Michelle's land is peaceful and relaxing. It was awesome to wake to the sun peaking over the cliffs. I took a visually stunning mountain bike ride around the cliff ridge line in the morning. She was very a accommodating and met me on the hill to help me find my spot. It was handy to have a vault toilet available as well.

Beautiful views
We got to the campsite pretty late but were given pretty clear instructions. It was a little rainy overnight but the morning after was beautiful and even had a rainbow!

Canyon views!
If you're looking to wake up to beautiful sunrises and begin your day on the trails (mountain biking or hiking), then look no further! This place was a gem to stay at and wish I had spent more than one night here. Highly recommend!! Also, for those without AWD/4WD, beware that your vehicle may not make it to some sites given the nature of the terrain. Be sure to reach out to Michelle ahead of time and inquire about the sites as one couple bottomed out on a rock with their Prius type vehicle.

Campground has a network of trails that was fun to explore both with and without the kids. Lots of site options to get away without being too far. The host was friendly and helpful.

We spent one night as part of a road trip west in March 2022. We loved this spot and will be back for sure to spend a coupe days and explore - just passing through was not enough. Site was flat, clean, and comes with tremendous views (its high desert so be mindful of cactus). Very convenient from the highway and decent road access for our Transit Van. Host came out to visit and share some history. She was very responsive to our pre-reservation queries, friendly and helpful. Looking forward to a return visit.

Great location and views but windy
The site had great views and the directions made it pretty simple to find with checking a map. I think we may have just gotten unlucky but during our stay it was very windy so it was hard to find a location far enough from the cliff and with protection from the wind.

Amazing views
We had a great stay! We needed a place to camp for the night and Wood Hill was great. The views were great and Michelle was quick to come help us find the best campsite. I appreciated that our fire pit was built up to safely protect it from wind. The port o potty was gone for the winter but we were a short drive from a public vault toilet - handy! In town we had no problem finding basic supplies and hot coffee. I’m not sure when we’ll be back that way but I’d definitely recommend Wood Hill and I’d stay there again if the chance arose!

Wonderful experience with my family
Michelle was a great communicator with what to expect and how to find the location and that really helped set me up for a great experience. The property is remote enough to experience nature but also close to amenities like town, the local pool, and food. There is no town noise up on the plateau and the sunsets and sunrises are incredible! The bathroom situation is a porta potty which worked fine for my family but I can see how, on hot days, it might not be ideal. The road to the campsites is soft dirt so it might be hard to navigate in the rain or in a lower vehicle. My RAV 4 did just fine. Overall it was a great experience and my husband, 4-year old daughter, and I really enjoyed our time on Michelle's property. The proximity to the local mountain bike trails and a remote experience without being in the boonies was exactly what we wanted and the Wood Hill Campground delivered!

Unbeatable for the price!
This place is minutes drive from all that the town of Price has to offer while affording you all that the beautiful Utah country side has to offer! On top of a plateau, you can look down on the surrounding area and enjoy amazing sunsets and sunrises. The short cedar trees and shrubs provide good protection from the wind. Read the description thoroughly to temper your expectations. This is a minimalist experience. Uneven terrain requires searching for a good place to pitch your tent. Soft dirt offers ample opportunities to get vehicles stuck. Recommend 4x4 or at least higher clearance vehicles, but that’s probably obvious to most experienced campers in the region! Really great bang for your buck! 🥳👍
