Pros:
Close to starvation and strawberry reservoir (about 20 mins to either one)
Inexpensive
Deck was cool, we decided to use it for our morning exercise rather than the tent.
Large gravel area for tents, parking etc.
Cons:
Wasn't able to have any campfire because of high winds. (Not David's fault)
Sketchy shade structure- the wooden posts were nearly falling over on one side and the rest were fairly shaky. So there was no shade tarp on the structure (though the pictures show one). There was a fold up shade stand under the deck, but no anchors to keep it down, and again with the wind we really needed something secure.
Picnic table- old and scratchy (we had a table cloth with some pins to secure it down so we were fine, but be prepared)
Neighbors- there are several abandoned looking trailers near the property, as well as lived in ones. When we drove up we felt slightly concerned, but decided they probably were just people who don't like to be bothered. They left us alone and we had no issues as far as that. But two of the properties had large motion detector lights that were going on and off constantly and were very annoying for us in our tent.
No privacy. This space is visible all around to everyone in the area. With no amenities or bathroom facilities this makes it a bit more difficult. Again we were ok because we have a portable bathroom tent, but if youre hoping to pee in the bushes...lol not gonna happen.

We absolutely loved this property! The kids had a blast on the deck, and there was plenty of space for them and our dog to run around and play. The firepit was a great touch for cozy evenings, and we really enjoyed exploring some of the nearby trails with our ATV. Communication with the host was excellent, and everything was smooth from start to finish. Highly recommended—we’ll definitely be staying here again! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We enjoyed taking our class c motor home to Daniel’s land. The site had plenty of room to find a good spot for the motor home, room for another car, the kids tent, and the dogs to explore off leash. The site had a nice fire pit and firewood. Daniel was very friendly and easy to work with.

This was honestly a really cool spot. We got to hang out with friends and live off the land! Daniel was very understanding and super helpful! We had no issues! He communicated with us and gave us all the information we needed to have a blast! Definitely will be booking again! The only recommendation i would say is prepare for wind. The wind did brake our canopy! We brought a portable shower and popup tent with a portable toilet and it was great!

It was exactly what you saw in the pictures. Lots of area around the platform, table and fire pit. The wind did blow a lot while I was there but Daniel had cinder blocks under the platform to help weigh the tent down. Getting there was pretty straight forward the navi systems does a good job getting you there. You just have to be careful turning into it off highway 40 because there is no center turn lane to turn into it if you’re making a left. Other than that it was a very nice area that was pretty private.

I loved the area for sure. We rented ATV’s and trailer around the area. The nearest gas station was so convenient, they had food and necessities! So close to the lake and the reservoir! Would come back!
