Water and 30AMP 40ft site. Dump Stations close by. The site is nestled in very special part of the Sandy suburbs, where every property has a mini farm. As you stroll these quiet tree-lined roads, you will discover horses, alpacas, chickens, and many other friendly RVers. With towering mountain views and golden sunsets, you will feel the campground vibes you are used to. Where we are, the pace is slow. We usually wake up to horse whinnies and fresh eggs from our chickens. Your friendly dogs and horses are welcome too. We have a paddock, terrace, firepit and some of the best mountain views in the valley. The site can accommodate up to 40ft, with additional with road parking for tow/toad vehicles. The site is mostly shaded, but also has clear skies for a Starlink. In the summer, the site is 5 minutes to mountain trails, 5 minutes to an equestrian trail area, 10 minutes to an epic mountain biking single track area, 18 minutes to Snowbird for tram rides to the top of the Wasatch, summer concerts and Oktoberfest. In the winter, you have 7 ski resorts to choose from, skiing on arguably the 'greatest snow on earth'. With Alta only 22 minutes away, you can ski one of three ski-only resorts in the world. Or, choose boarding at the fun-filled terrain park of Brighton. Park City is the largest resort in the USA and is only 45 minutes away. For city amenities, Sandy has everything. Multiple RV suppliers and repair shops, tire shops, and all the equipment stores you would ever need, including an REI. We have grocery stores from Trader Joe's down the street, to a Kroger a couple of minutes away and a Wholefoods 15min away. The Enchanted Whimsical theme is very "Alice In Wonderland-esc". Allow yourself and your group to be enchanted by the livingroom's GOLD CEILINGS and clocks wall, reminding you to unwind and take some time for self care! On the topic of self-care, upon ascending the GOLD SPIRAL STAIRCASE located in the newly remodeled kitchen, you will be hugged with a unique meditation station, just outside the loft bedroom. Here there are ton's of tiny golden mirrors and some meditation floor pads, for an ideal spot to sit in contemplation and seek your most present minded self. A door-way off this room leads you into the "tree-house" feeling bedroom. The green color scheme and the skylight peering at the branches of the trees which extend over the roof in the sky, create a "tree-house like" experience. The 3rd bedroom sleeps just one person with a twin bed and is at the back of the house. The window looking out back from here is the closest room to the hot tub/gazebo area in the backyard, which is professionally cleaned and maintained. There is a remodeled, full bath with bath tub on the ground level. This is the only bathroom in this home. The remodeled kitchen is well stocked/appointed. This backyard space has a couple outside table and chair areas, and it is the place we would as that you park during your stay, accessing it through the alley (see listing photos). This was such a cute, cozy stay! It had everything you could possibly need, between a shower comfy beds kitchenware and a coffee machine, everything was great. The owner was very responsive and helpful, everything went smoothly and I had such a rejuvenating trip! The hot tub was a little messy but otherwise it was big and really nice. would highly recommend!

I loved the bed. That sounds so weird but it's like sleeping on a cloud. The host is great. Such a sweetheart. So cute. We had a great time. The treetop is the one I'd choose. The pics don't do it justice. We will be back. Aspen is so spacious. The only thing was the showers weren't up and running but it was late in the year!!

What a beautiful experience. We stayed for two nights and couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The weather was perfectly crisp and fall-like, and Lynnellen made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. She shared fresh vegetables from her garden and repeatedly encouraged us to make ourselves comfortable, and we truly felt like we could. Each morning, she made us breakfast that left our bellies happy and full, and Sunday dinner was incredibly nourishing. The conversations we shared were filled with warmth and sincerity. You can tell Lynnellen is someone full of love and joy who genuinely wants to share it with others, and you can see that same spirit reflected in the people passing through her home. If you’re looking for a place that radiates community, love, and connection, this is it. Our hearts feel very full after just two days here. Perfect for a campervan! Midway was adorable- worth the detour, only wish I could have stayed longer. I needed a safe place to stay for an evening while driving back from dinosaur national monument to Portland. Gypsy's place was absolutely perfect- safe, secure, easy to find. The shower and full bathroom access was a major bonus after 4 days on the river. The property was adorable and I easily could have spent several days here relaxing and exploring the area. I hope to be back!!

About

On the shores of the Deer Creek Reservoir just an hour from Salt Lake City, Deer Creek State Park is a watersports haven in an otherwise arid desert. Boating, waterskiing, kiteboarding, paddleboarding, swimming, and fishing are all popular activities at the park and campers will find a variety of sites to choose from including full-hookup, pull-through RV sites and more secluded tent-only sites. The park has a bit of a resort feel with a floating water park, onsite upscale restaurant, and zipline tours. Boats, jet skis, paddleboards, kayaks, and more are available for rent at the Deer Creek Island Resort.

Tips for snagging a campsite

All campsite reservations are available on a four-month rolling basis. Reservations are strongly recommended during the months and on weekends the rest of the year.
Any unreserved sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Not all sites are suitable for large RVs. Make sure the campsite will accommodate your vehicle length before booking. Only one vehicle is allowed per campsite unless otherwise specified.

When to go

Deer Creek State Park is open year-round but the campgrounds are only open from May 1 through October. Water temperatures can be chilly on the Deer Creek Reservoir even in the summer months; July and August are the best times for watersports. Expect crowds on summer weekends so visit mid-week if you can. Fall is especially nice for camping, kayaking, and hiking around the lake. In winter, Deer Creek Reservoir offers some of the best ice fishing near Salt Lake City.

Know before you go

Campsites include covered picnic tables, fire pits, and access to hot showers.
Any boat coming from out of state or Lake Powell must be checked and decontaminated prior to launching into Deer Creek.
Coldwater conditions exist at Deer Creek. All vessels including stand up paddleboards must have a life jacket onboard for each person.
Dogs are allowed only in the campground. Dogs are not allowed in the water, in boats, or on park trails.
