Welcome to the Peak of the Duchesne River Perched on a scenic hillside overlooking the winding Duchesne River, this property offers the ultimate high-country camping experience. Whether you're an avid angler looking to step right into world-class trout waters or simply wanting to unplug under the stars, you'll find it here—all with a spectacular front-row view of Mt. Tabiona. The Campsites We've kept things wonderfully simple so nature can do the talking. The property features level, spacious campsites designed to provide an easy setup. Each site is accessed by a solid gravel driveway, making it a breeze to pull in, park, and start relaxing. Please Note: This is a true off-grid experience. There are no hookups (no water, electricity, or sewer), so please come prepared to dry camp or boondock. Bring your solar panels, pack your water, and get ready to enjoy the peace of an unplugged getaway. The Experience The Views: Wake up to the morning light illuminating the dramatic face of Mt. Tabiona, then spend your evenings watching the sunset paint the surrounding hills. The River: You're just a stone's throw from the Duchesne River. Grab your rod for the evening hatch, or simply fall asleep to the distant sound of moving water. The Vibe: Dark skies, quiet nights, and wide-open mountain air create the perfect base camp for overlanding, wildlife viewing, or simply relaxing around the campfire. Situated on the prime upper edge of the hillside, this spot lets you look down at the rushing waters of the Duchesne River. The site features a flat clearing with a clean gravel driveway that makes parking a breeze, offering an unadorned, completely off-grid canvas for your dry-camping setup. It’s the ultimate basecamp for anglers who want to watch the evening hatch on the river below while sitting right in the shadow of the mountain.

A Hidden Gem Under the Stars

Absolutely perfect getaway! Peaceful, private, and even better than we expected! The location is pure bliss, and with only two sites, you really do get that feeling of having your own little slice of paradise. The low running river was perfect for us and the dogs, and the mountain hike was a serious workout, but the views at the top made it completely worth it. We grabbed dinner and breakfast at Sage Brush Inn Cafe in Tabiona — highly recommend! The locals were incredibly friendly too. But the real showstopper was the night sky. 🌌 The Milky Way was absolutely stunning and totally unexpected. We fell asleep under a sky full of stars — unforgettable! This was a last-minute getaway, but we’ll definitely be back. If peace, privacy, nature, and incredible starry skies are what you’re after, this is the place!
