Echo Island offers a mixed camping experience with some beautiful views and friendly staff, but it seems to struggle with a few key issues. Many visitors found the facilities to be clean and well-kept, but there were consistent complaints about poor communication from staff and unexpected additional costs. Some campers encountered problems with cleanliness, especially in the cabins, and there were concerns about the card payment process being unreliable. The location is convenient, close to Park City, but the proximity to the highway results in noticeable noise, which might be a dealbreaker for those seeking a peaceful retreat.

Overall good experience. The site was clean and it was quiet aside from the highway right next door. The pool was clean but the water was warmer than a typical pool might be. There is a gift shop/convenience shop at check in, but they don't have a card reader of any sort and instead take the card information and send it who knows where. It's a good rv campground but I would recommend bringing cash if you want to buy anything or do the activities because trying to use a card was very sketchy.
Echo Island has a beautiful property and some genuinely wonderful people working there, but our stay was a bit of a mixed bag.
Check-in got off to a rough start. After telling the front desk I booked through Hipcamp, I was immediately told, “Don’t ever book through a third party.” I was also told I probably still owed another $135, even though I’d already paid $261.50 for our two-night stay. It was eventually sorted out, but no one ever explained what happened, leaving us wondering if we’d have more issues.
The glamping tent desperately needs better cooling. Our site had no shade, two tiny desk fans weren’t enough, and by midday the tent was basically an Easy-Bake Oven. We even had seven cans of Coke explode from the heat. We ended up driving into Evanston just to cool off with our senior dogs because the campsite was too hot to enjoy.
The Wi-Fi was unreliable, freeway noise was surprisingly loud all night, and we were never told where to find potable water. A few extra costs also caught us off guard, including required firewood and fishing fees.
The bright spots were Rick and Ed, who were incredibly kind and welcoming.
Echo Island has a beautiful property and lots of potential, but for the price I expected better communication and a more comfortable glamping experience. A couple of larger fans or some shade cloth would make a huge difference.

Close Proximity to Busy Highway
Overall, the facilities were nice. The pool was fun and well-maintained. But our campsite was next to the highway, which was very loud at night. We asked to move to another site if possible, but we were told there were no other spots available. However, when we walked through the campground that evening, there were many unused sites. Also, the bathrooms were not as pictured, and availability was limited. We experienced long waits for the bathrooms nearly every time.

Echo Island is a great RV Park. It has a lot of updated amenities which was nice. Right of the highway and located close to Park City. We enjoyed our stay. Our only complaint was with communication. They never responded to any of our messages and when we arrived, we were unsure of where to set up our rooftop tent. We ended up just setting it up in our parking lot space, which worked fine. When we called to clarify this is what they had for us, we were placed on hold and later disconnected. Overall, facility was nice. Communication was poor.

Beautiful place with great large RV spots! Would stay again.
Whilst the park has nice facilities and is in a beautiful spot, we were extremely disappointed in our cabin.
Every surface was covered in animal hair, particularly the bathroom, on the sofa and lounge chairs, and on carpet up the stairs and in the loft. There were crumbs all through the kitchen and lounge room, and cobwebs in every corner and window. Most alarmingly there was a piece of glass on the bathroom floor.
There is only one of these standard cabins in the park and it seems to have been forgotten even by staff. There are no pictures of it online and the listing (on hipcamp and their website) is inaccurate; there is no dishwasher and the additional beds are blow up mattresses on the floor of the loft (which is only fit for children as the ceiling is ~4 ft tall).
We didn’t expect top quality appliances or fittings from this standard cabin, but we did expect it to be clean. It was a very disappointing end to our family holiday.

Great for children who need to Play
If you’re by yourself looking for a place to set up a tent, wouldn’t recommend. Looks awesome for families with children. Cool things to do for them and a safe place…children running all over.

We brought our 45’ 5th wheel toy hauler to Echo Island Resort on Father’s Day weekend. It was very busy, but the staff very helpful and answered any questions quickly and throughly. My kids enjoyed the many different options that were available for to them to do from fishing in their pond our the local river that runs through the property, swimming, pickleball and cornhole. Their favorite was the rope / zip line course that went over a bunch of the campsites and the rope “trampoline” that worked very well.

How friendly each and every host was , the cleanliness of the facilities , and the way everyone in the park seemed to slip away into their camps at exactly 10:00 pm. It was a great experience. Thanks for sharing a memory with our family that will be remembered for years to come

Standard-Back-In (Amp 50/30/20) FHU RV Sites - 35ft
The sites here go from really incredible to pretty bad. Make sure to study the map or even better call and find out what will be a good fit for you. We ended up next to a bathroom crammed next to a round cement pad, which was frankly a terrible tripping hazard. Also , even though the website advertised that we could book activities , none of it was open yet.
Stayed here for a few nights, it’s got all the creature comforts, even a little dvd player above the tv. Bathroom was great and the view from the deck was amazing. Only a couple of things bothered me, the provided wifi did not work, which isn’t that big of a deal since cellphone service was generally good. The other thing is that there is a tent site directly next to it which did get occupied by a large group for 2 of the 4 nights we stayed there so you end up sharing the “backyard” so to speak. More of a nitpick than anything. Otherwise I would definitely come back. The town right across the bridge had a great Mexican food store and a very cozy coffee shop only a few minutes drive away too.

Glamping t
The tents could have been way more cleaner and definitely towels need to be replaced
They were very dirty and They had a bunch of hair on it. The floors were not swept and there was a bunch of stains of food and it looked very disgusting. There were dead bugs everywhere around the window on the tent and around the corners around the tent
The tent upon check-in when we walked in, looked very abandoned inside and no one has been checked on it for a while. Before check in housekeeping department or whoever is doing the cleaning needs to check on the tents before they let the guests in and make sure they’re ready for arrival. Upon checking on the front desk, the staff needs to communicate better about directions and while handling the pamphlets. Also, one of the bathrooms that was nearby was not functioning, and no one made an effort to fix it instead offer to use the other further bathrooms on the other side. No one on front desk offer any compensation for this whatsoever. Very poorly customer service and experience overall. I paid $300 for 2 nights that was worth for $50 easy….. very disappointed

The organization and amenities were great. Will be back in about a week.
This place is without a doubt the WORST PLACE We have EVER camped at. Location was ok. Accommodations were so-so and overpriced considering the complete lack of services provided by the “staff” and the ABSOLUTELY DEPLORABLE way We were treated. The advertised “inclusion policy” … stating that guests are forbidden to engage other guests in a threatening manner or say things that are offensive to other classes of people is totally ignored - might as well not even have an “inclusion policy”.
Me and My Service Dogs were assaulted in multiple ways by staff and two of their guests AND their children. That’s Right … these “guests” allowed their SMALL CHILDREN to disrespect Us. Then make up a bunch of “rules” concerning Service Dogs that DONT EVEN EXIST. After these other guests assaulted Me and My Dogs in the pool area, bc- according to those “guests” Service Dogs “aren’t allowed in the pool area” and then her husband attempted to PHYSICALLY ASSAULT ME - the “manager” actually backed ME (bc she HAD to) stating that Service Dogs ARE allowed in the pool area - they still did nothing to discourage their assaultive guests behavior as per the “inclusion policy”. Instead this manager opted to somehow BLAME ME AND KY DOGS - fabricating stories about “complaints” about My Dogs (which were NEVER brought to My Attention until AFTER We were assaulted by their other guests- all lies of course in an attempt to blame Us for their behavior and actions.) They have NO security protocol !!!

Friendly staff and clean accommodations. We only stayed one night but would definitely stay again if we were coming through. They have a large zip line and obstacle course for the kids and adults. It was well supervised by professionals as needed.
I recommend one of the sites in the back next to the river. Highly recommend!
