ENTRANCE TO OUR PROPERTY IS STRAIGHT NORTH AT THE END OF THE PAVEMENT. PLEASE DO NOT TURN LEFT ON SESSION LANE! We have ten acres that our home sit on but about 9 acres that consist of dry farm grass. We use 1 acre for camping and parking. The Weber river runs across the back of our property where we have a campground with tables and firepits. This is a family campground. We do not have Electrical Power or Water hookups. We have added 4 wooden porta potty enclosed in small tents which we service every day or as needed. Site selection is determined by type of sleeping accommodations and managements discretion. We have now have one tent areas and 1 RV spot. **We allow 2 adults per site and/or 2 adults and minor children per site. (Larger Family Gathering must be approved and pay extra based on the number of family or friends expected) WE HAVE A LIMITED FIRE BAN. ALL FIREWORKS ARE CURRENTLY STRICTLY PROHIBITED We are not a public campground and only list through Hipcamp and so our property is posted with NO TRESPASSING SIGNS. It is very important to let us know your approximate arrival time and call when you arrive. We will guide you down to the campgrounds and show you the best spots base on your type of camping. (Sleeping in trailers or van's versus tent campers) One draw back to our property is that we are within 1/2 mile of a well use highway (US 84) and railroad track. We have only had one camper who was concerned about the noise. Here at the house we don't notice it and maybe we are just use to it. Limited swimming and use of paddle board based on river conditions. Fishing is limited because we are on private property and the river is not stocked by the Utah fish and game. So, we are dependent on normal reproduction of the fish. Fly fishing being the best however you can use lures. Power bait or any bait that requires treble hooks are not allowed.. We would prefer catch and release. ALL UTAH FISHING REGULATION APPLY. WE HAVE INDICATED WHEEL CHAIR ACCESSIBLE. THE WHOLE AREA IS BASICLLY LEVEL AND GRASS AND BARK COVERED.

Welcome to Big Sky Country with fabulous sunrises and sunsets everyday. My 35 acres sit at 7500 ft elevation with 360-degree views for miles around, including view of the snow-capped Uintas. No neighbors (unless you count the occasional cattle or sheep as it is open range). Starry skies, red cliffs, sage seas, junipers, howling coyotes: the Wild West at its best. Pull in your RV or pitch a tent. Lots to see and do in the area. The Piedmont ghost town and kilns are 15 minutes away. The majestic Uinta mountains are 30 minutes to the southeast on the Mirror Lake Scenic Byway. Check out the local bison herd (including its famous white bison) at Bear River State Park in Evanston. While there, walk around the Historic Depot Area and the Union Pacific Roundhouse and Railyards further to the west. The downtown stretch along Main St. is step back in time and the site of our local brewery (Suds). Up the road on I-80 is historic Fort Bridger. Fishing available at local reservoirs and Bear River.

The Provo River runs along the edge of the property, and the Uinta Mountains start climbing from here. Roam Uinta sits at the gateway to Mirror Lake Scenic Byway, a 42-mile road that crests at 10,715 feet and opens up some of the best alpine camping, fishing, and hiking in Utah. Kamas is the last supply stop before the cell service drops out and the high country takes over. Full-hookup RV sites line the riverbank with 30/50-amp service. Cabins come equipped with full kitchens, linens, and queen sleeper sofas, because “roughing it” has a pretty wide definition. Monthly stays are available year-round for seasonal workers, extended travelers, and anyone who’s figured out they don’t want to leave. The clubhouse, pool, and hot tub anchor the common areas. A basketball court for burning off energy. Starlink WiFi across the property (a real luxury this close to wilderness). Well-maintained bathhouses and direct river access for guests who want to fish before coffee. This stretch of the Provo River is blue-ribbon trout water. Rainbow and brown trout push 18 inches. You can cast from the bank without leaving the resort, which is the kind of detail that turns a 2-night stay into a week.

Experience the breathtaking beauty of this mountain paradise nestled in Utah. Situated adjacent to the Wasatch Peaks Private ski resort, this property boasts unparalleled access to natural splendor. Surrounded by majestic 100-foot pine trees, it offers a serene escape with a riverside setting that's truly rare. Gather around the fire pit for unforgettable evenings under the stars. I provide two trailers that will comfortably sleep 11 people. Renting my recreational vehicles are also an option. The trailers are all set up with bedding and sleeping accommodations, however because of the remote location we use outhouse instead of the trailers makes it possible to leave them on the mountain all summer.AT&T has incredible service at this spot to stay connected amidst the wilderness. Embrace off-grid living with no utilities, complemented by the convenience of an outhouse and gated entrance. You have to see this paradise in person to believe it! You could say it’s somewhat glamping because of all the amenities but you’ll feel like you never have before nature, the privacy and everything around you. There’s two massive fire pits, flat spots for tents, outdoor couch seating, it’s a great place to host a family gathering, big event, wedding, anything you can imagine. Shoot guns, play games, escape the city and to your spot in around 30 minutes from the mouth of Weber Canyon.

My husband Shaun and I fell into rescuing horses quite by accident. We started a non-profit to promote the Rescue, Rehab, Retrain and Rehome method to get horses out of bad situations and into good homes. We are a small rescue and hope to be much bigger one day! Please come visit, enjoy our beautiful property and support an amazing non-profit cause while you are at it! Learn more about this land: We are a non-profit horse rescue situated on one acre. The best description I can give of our property is that it's great for a convenient and quaint "Stop and Sleep".  This is because we are located right off of the old main highway and have two neighbors within eyesight from the house. This site is very convenient for quick stays since it is so CLOSE TO THE HIGHWAY this makes it convenient but may not be appropriate for very light sleepers or for extended stays.  The camping area is simple, with wild grass and a fire pit, bordered by the river on one side and the horse pasture on the other.  You can see and hear the river easily April-July. The river is seasonal and does dry up in mid July-August. Drinkable hose water is available near the house.  If you want a ranch-style camping experience with lots of interaction with your hosts and opportunity for adventure then you have chosen the right camping location! You are welcome to join in the daily choring activities or choose to be taken on a scenic trail ride or thrilling guided gallop on beautiful and well-trained rescue horses. PLEASE NOTE: The bathroom is located in our house and has a flushable toilet and shower with hot water. Bathroom hours are 8am-9pm but limited due to our presence at home and work schedules depending on the day you stay.  Parking is located about 50 feet from the campsite, just off of the road.  You must walk a few seconds to get to the campsite and you cannot pull your vehicle right up to it. While we do welcome car campers and pop-up trailers, just know you won't be parked at the campsite if you choose to sleep this way.  We look forward to having you camp with us!

Rockport State Park camping guide

Overview

About

Northern Utah is a delight to explore, and that little factoid is wonderfully obvious at Rockport State Park. Grab the whole crew and come check this top-notch northern Utah park out—you’ll have something to keep you occupied throughout the entire year. Summertime is perfect for fishing, boating, water skiing, wakeboarding, and all that jazz. Wintertime at Rockport draws people in for it’s excellent ice fishing and nearby snowmobile trails. No matter when you roll up, you’ll find five great campgrounds where you can pick your passion: RV or tent camping? Developed or primitive? It’s totally your call. If you’re really lucky, you just might see an elk or a bobcat (it’s rare, but hey, maybe you’ve got that lucky wildlife touch)!

When to go

The best time to visit Rockport State Park is during the summer for water activities and picnics. Winters are equally charming, offering ice fishing and a snowy panorama. Avoid peak holiday weekends if you prefer a quieter experience, as the park becomes a hub of activity.

Know before you go

  • Check weather conditions before your visit, as they can change rapidly.
  • Ensure you have a valid fishing license if you plan to fish in the reservoir.
  • Be mindful of park rules to protect the environment and wildlife.
  • Day-use fees are required for park entry; prepare to pay upon arrival.
  • Accessibility options are available; contact the park office for specific needs.
