Nomadic camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Perched high on a pine-covered slope along the Provo River.Hidden River Yurt – Private Nature Playground Perched high on a dramatic, pine-covered slope above theProvo River, this off-grid yurt camp is pure, unpolished adventure. Why It Rocks Private Lagoon: A natural eddy just below camp forms your own freshwater “pool.” Float, cast a line, or let the current spin you slowly beneath the cottonwoods. Tree-Top Nets & Trampoline: String-up nets stretched between towering firs become hammocks in the sky. Below, a sun-bleached trampoline launches stargazers toward the Milky Way. Ready-to-Go Yurt: A small canvas yurt is ready to go—no poles to pitch, just unzip and drop your pack. Mountain-Side Seclusion: The steep terrain keeps crowds (and cell bars) away. Your soundtrack: river rush, wind through aspen leaves, an occasional osprey dive. Choose Your Adventure In: Walk-in: 15-min rugged trail from Vivian Park trailhead—pack light, earn bragging rights. Paddle-in: Launch kayak or tube upstream; glide straight to the lagoon and tie-off at camp. Pedal-in: Ask about our fat-tire bike drop; coast the canyon’s paved rail-trail before the final switchback scramble. What to Expect Think wild camp with a comfort core. Solar lanterns replace grid power, a composting loo hides in the pines, and water comes straight from a gravity-fed spring. If you crave crisp sheets and turn-down chocolates, keep scrolling. If you crave sunrise trout rises, canyon echoes, and fireside stories that stretch late into a star-splattered night—this is your spot.
