Earn this patch by being the first to spend a night outside at a new Hipcamp.
Bring your RV, camper, van, or tent and enjoy a peaceful basecamp at the foot of Mount Nebo. Located on a flat 5-acre property just off Interstate 15, it's an ideal stop for exploring central Utah or relaxing between adventures. Enjoy views of Mount Nebo, whose northern summit reaches 11,933 feet and features a glacier on its north face. Explore nearby Santaquin Canyon and Pole Canyon, take the scenic Mount Nebo Loop, or head about an hour to Little Sahara Recreation Area for incredible sand dunes and off-roading. Utah Lake, including Sandy Beach and Lincoln Beach, is also nearby. History lovers can visit nearby Santaquin, home to the first Mormon settlement outside Salt Lake City. Explore the local museum, the original Mormon fort, historic rock walls, Native American petroglyphs, and learn about the area's pioneer heritage. The campsite offers a level gravel parking area that's easy to maneuver, mature shade trees, a restroom, a picnic table, and fresh well water from a 3,800-foot-deep well. Whether you're road-tripping, overlanding, or spending a few days exploring the area, you'll have a comfortable place to recharge. As an added bonus, the host is an on-site auto mechanic and may be available to help with basic vehicle maintenance or detailing by prior arrangement.
