We were traveling as two young girls and felt totally safe and at home at Paria ranch! Very nice ppl—gave us a better spot to help us minimize Utah heat. Good facilities.

Weekend Trip to Sunset Campground on Ruin Road

Fantastic site, excellent views (we caught sunset and some brilliant stars), and cool critters!! Our 8 year old spotted a jackrabbit and it made their day. The site is well maintained and the hosts are welcoming, it was a great part of our trip and we hope to camp here again! We camped in a 22ft campervan, it fit easily into site 1, which was a convenient walk to the bathroom.

Weekend Trip to Zion Family Ranch Campground and RV

Nice campsite, especially if you have kids. There is a lake and canoes which you can use. There is a family of geese there in the morning. The bathroom is wonderful with hot water. The internet was only available in the bathrooms, but there was internet. We couldn't seem to access it at the pavilion for some reason. The picnic benches are like half a picnic bench, so if you are a family of more than 2, then you may need more table space right at your site. In general, we had a great stay, albeit rainy, but no one could help that.

Real horse ranch, loved visiting the horses and being woken to charming animal noises in the morning. We backed into the orchard so we woke up to a lovely view of the mountains. Jeff was super friendly.

We enjoyed camping in our popup rv on Steph and Jeff’s land. We had a campsite in the back away from the cabins and horse corrals. Although we could see the highway, the traffic died down after dark and we had some fairly quiet nights.

We loved spending time at this campground. It's conveniently located for the entrances to Zion Park. The view is sublime. Check-in / check-out are super convenient. The campsites are large and the area is quiet. The trail was easily passable with our SUV (late May/early June, no rain). Toilets are available. There are lots of little black insects that don't bite, perhaps a citronella spray would be effective. If it's windy, I'd recommend a trekking tent, as there are big gusts of wind and a lot of sand flying around, but these are climatic hazards. I warmly recommend this campground. Coralie

I loved tent camping on Bill’s land! The directions provided were clear and were able to find a stunning campsite. The port a potties were the cleanest I have ever seen! Already screaming from the roofs for friends and family to visit.

We loved camping at Sandy Beach! Don't go into the state park area, we misunderstood the directions and ended up in the state park at first.

Weekend Trip to High Sage Hogans

Loved the rustic vibes of the site with quite a few farm animals to play with. Danny was super accommodating and had shared clear navigation directions to reach. It was a fun little trip for us with beautiful views very close to the Arches National Park.

Weekend Trip to The Rockin Robbins Ranch

We had an excellent 3-and-a-half-day stay at this campsite, and it was really a 5-star experience. From the start, Lynnellen was extremely attentive, she made the effort to check in with us every night to ensure we had everything we needed, quickly answering every call and problem, and going out of her way to assist us during our stay. The hospitality exceeded expectations. The homemade breakfasts were amazing and a thoughtful touch every morning. The assistance with laundry and other little tasks made everything much more convenient and comfortable. You can sense how much care and attention goes into running the place. We felt warmly welcomed and cared for. We're already planning to return and would highly suggest this campsite to anyone looking for a relaxing, well-managed, and welcoming experience.

Indian Canyon Ranch

Indian Canyon Ranch is a rugged, isolated, off grid property which focuses on enjoying the outdoor beauty of our little corner of the spectacular American South West. Please be advised, that during heavy rain four-wheel drive may be necessary but in all cases low clearance vehicles are not ideal on the last section of road but if you arrive before dark and go slow any vehicle can make it. If you arrive after dark the last bit of road looks more challenging than it actually is due to shadows on the surface caused by the head lights. Units are not heated. Please plan to show up before dark for the best experience and ease of finding the location. Indian Canyon Ranch is proud to be an independent, off grid property with limited solar power and water available. There are no RV hook ups available but there is limited solar power in the rental units and in the communal area but not in the primitive campsites. Campsites are primitive camping only. Showers in the main communal area are solar powered and only hot with the sun and for an hour or so after sunset Joe purchased this property in 2008. At that time, it was 8 acres, and it is now at 20 acres continuous property. The ranch is situated 2 miles off the highway down a bumpy dirt road on the edge of the national forest, this gives you a feeling of being in the wilderness. The south and east sides are boarded by canyons and ruins. All other private properties in the area are 10 acres or more so are well spread out and sparsely populated. All the structures on site were brought here piece by piece and were salvaged from construction projects in Yosemite and Grand Canyon national parks. Water is manually hauled in and the power in the kitchen area is solar generated so please be conscious of water and power use.

Rio Riata Hobby Horse Ranch

Hello, and welcome to my private horse hobby ranch. My family has lived in Southern Utah for over 26 years. This property is within only a couple miles of the Three Peaks Recreation area near Cedar City, Utah. Three Peaks offers mountain bike trails, hiking, free day use campfire sites, an RC track, ATV and OHV trails, campgrounds, and an equestrian obstacle course and trailheads. Nearby is the county shooting range as well. Cedar City is home to many more hiking, biking and equestrian trails all within a 10 - 30 min drive away. Bryce Canyon National park is only a 1 hour’s drive away. Zion’s national park is only a 1 1/2 hour’s drive away. Cedar canyon is only a 20 min drive away and boasts beautiful canyons with evergreen trees, aspens, ponds, trails, and waterfalls. Cedar Breaks National Park is only a 20-30 min drive away with spectacular rock cliffs and overlooks. Brianhead ski and mountain bike resort is also only a 30 min drive away. This is a central location with endless possibilities to go exploring the amazing outdoors. This is a private residential property in a neighborhood with lot sizes ranging from 1 to 10 acres. There is only one RV site so it’s much quieter than a public campground. The driveway area circles around the private home so it is easy to pull your RV through to the RV pad/spot. Please realize your respect to this property and neighborhood is of utmost importance. There are neighbors with cows, geese, chickens, goats, dogs and pigs so realize it’s not as quiet as some places but still more private than many public venues. We also respect you, so please look at pictures and read descriptions. I am happy to answer any questions before you book. There is only one RV site here. You could put a tent up in the dirt but I don’t recommend it as I can’t imagine it would be very comfortable. There are horses in corrals, my people and dog friendly dog is off-leash, and there are 5 barn cats who roam free on the property (2 of which are as friendly as dogs). All persons staying on the property will need to sign a liability waiver since it is a horse property and horses are present. My horses aren’t offered for riding but ask about other ways you can interact with them if you desire. At no additional cost you can help care for them, brush them, and learn a few fun facts about them. For a fee you can get guided experiences with them on the ground (not in the saddle), do breath work sessions with them, and learn basic horsemanship skills.

We plant and tend vegetable gardens for our guests to share in the harvest. We plant Huggle Mounds in the spring... as well as grapes and assorted fruit trees... You are welcome to walk our Custom Labyrinth. You are free to wander the fields, gardens and orchards. When the garden is in bloom, help yourself... Most sites have air conditions or fans, as well as heaters in season. 110 power is at each site... We have a Grumpy Dragon Cafe outside with a help yourself breakfast bar. Its only a short drive to five different National Monuments: Bears Ears, Natural Bridges, Rainbow Bridge, Hovenweep, and Canyon of The Ancients. Take a scenic drive over the Blue Mountain and Elk Ridge. Southeastern Utah is full of archeology history to hike and explore.
