Unique Experience!

Zion Wright Family Ranch-ecocamping
This was such a unique and amazing camping experience! The view is stellar, and we loved hearing the cowbells in the morning and in the evening. There are so many sites to choose from that you do not have to have neighbors and can have what it feels like your own private camping experience. If we ever get back to Zion, we will definitely choose. The Wright Family Ranch. Our only complaint is that unfortunately we stayed during a nearly full moon in south east stars were not as visible as they normally would have been without the moon. I can only imagine what the sky would look like on a clear, dark night.

Zion Wright Family Ranch-ecocamping
My family's stay at Zion Wright Family Ranch was enjoyable. Bill was nice to work with considering check in time for us was so late at the night. The morning sunrise was beautiful to watch and the greets from the cows seasoned the day perfectly. The Zion view was relaxing which my family and I found as being the most outstanding way to wake to a new day and look forward to our roadie adventures at hand! I recommend you book this delightful stay.

Incredibly beautiful, once-in-a-lifetime experience! Everything from the views to the stars to the cows was amazing, my fiancée and I had a wonderful time. Getting up to the site was a little bumpy so definitely have a vehicle
that is equipped to do so, but you won’t have any regrets!

Such a beautiful spot for Late March. No Bugs, campers are so spread out I felt like I had the place to myself. The stars were amazing, just check your lunar calendar to get a milky way view. Road in and out was dry, no issues with the jeep. Loved hearing the cows bells, but I cant stress just how epic the views are! Best camp site we ever stayed at!!!! Thank you Bill W!!!!! We will be back....

This site is HUGE. You can basically set up anywhere and have sights of rolling hills, cattle, and the sunset. The only thing we would say is that the roads through the fields are not well maintained and we were thankful that we didn't pop a tire going through with our rental SUV. Where you set up are also big open fields, so there is little to no seclusion from other campers. You can definitely get distance from them and avoid hearing others since you can set up wherever, but you will definitely see other campers from your site.

I had a great time camping up on the mesa. I definitely suggest spending some time exploring the property because they had some absolutely breathtaking views. The cow's bells were like wind chimes and the whole property is really cool. The rain made it a little difficult to get down but someone from the ranch helped guide people and once the sun came out, the mud dried up surprisingly quick. There were a ton of campsites to choose from and not a single one has a bad view and you can be as isolated or as social as you'd like. It's close enough to the main park as well to hit the trails but it was also nice to get away from the more touristy side of Zion. I really had a great time and would love to come back in the future.

This was the most beautiful spot to camp! The view was gorgeous. It felt like such a nice, peaceful place to come back to after being in Zion all day.

Firepit was nice, there were port-a-potty’s! The views were stunning! The cows grazing on the land added a unique element! Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I would recommend!

The camp was ultimately a great place to camp and relax. However I wish the facilities had been slightly better maintained (toilet paper in the bathroom). Other than that, it was a good place to rest our heads for the night!

Zion Wright Ranch is exceptionally quiet, serene and beautiful. The road into the camp is steep in a couple of places, but is well maintained and not a bad drive at all. However, I would not want to drive it while it is raining, as the dirt in the area looks like the type that gets really slippery (gumbo, maybe?) when it’s wet. I’ve got a 4wd 1 ton with a camper and would chain up at least the fronts if attempting in the rain. That said, if you’re on the fence about this place, get off the fence and go! We’ve camped at one place in Death Valley that was better, but found out later it was illegal, so Wright’s ranch is the best legal place we’ve camped at.

Amazing views, terrific setup, cows were a bonus. Access to west side of Zion was also wonderful, truly enjoyed more hiking there than we did in the park. I’d stay here again every time I visit Zion. Last, the stars were something to behold.

The Wright Family Ranch in Zion is a must for anyone seeking adventure! The campsite has a ‘primitive’ style to it with a fire pit at every site, tables at some, and only a few porto potty's. But, in exchange, you get true isolation in the heart of Zion. Watchman Campground gets packed insanely quick, especially on school breaks. This spot was available up until the night of and provided the peace and tranquility I was looking for. The only noise I heard the entire time was the tranquil bells of cows as they moved along the ranch. Not to mention, it’s only like a 10 minute drive away from the entrance to the Subway Hike if anyone is familiar! It is also a ‘primitive’ style hike with untended trails, but it is one of the best hikes Zion has to offer, hands down! The Subway is a sight to behold. So if adventure is your thing and you’re looking for a more ‘primitive’ style trip, then you NEED to come to Bill’s Ranch! It has everything you’ll be looking for. And if you want civilization, the National Park is only a 15-20 minute drive away.

I wanted to give a good review but I can’t. We made a same day reservation at the last minute to find a place to camp and once we did. we received the detailed information on the entrance details to the property which were not disclosed when I selected the hipcamp site.
As soon as I read the details on the road conditions we realized this would not work for us snd i immediately tried to go in and cancel on the app but since it was under the 24hr window i was not given the option to cancel on the app and was directed to contact Bill the owner, which I did by phone and after explaining to him the problem he assured me a refund would be given. Well Im still waiting for the refund. I have tried yo contact him again directly and also gone through the Hipcamp co tact for help, but still noone has helped me. The Hipcamp app seems to respond like AI and never really answers my questions and the owner I believe is elderly and the person who refunds won’t work with me.
I feel the properties requirement to navigate their road on arrival should have been disclosed prior to booking to make an informed decision and it was not.
We are very disappointed with Hipcamp and would not recommend them to others.

Beautiful views and plenty of space - felt secluded without feeling too alone. Road coming in is bumpy but perfectly manageable and it was super easy getting to and from Zion

If you are looking to get off grid around Zion and have great views and a peaceful sleep this is your spot. It's an easy drive into Zion even with the rough road for the last 1.5 miles. But it's worth it.

I stayed three nights and the sites/process were as expected. The area was beautiful. Camp was clean and taken care of. The road in was steep and rutted with intimidating drop offs which my Corolla handled just fine. My only hesitation on returning is 2/3 nights included loud neighboring sites, speakers and shouting from midnight-2am.

This was the most perfect place to camp! I would recommend it to anyone who is visiting Zion! My sister and I stayed there two nights and got to choose a different place each night. It was beautiful and I will absolutely be back!
