Site 1 - Sunset Campground on Ruin Road
Quiet country respite
One of my favorite primitive campsites… absolutely amazing sunset and dark sky with so many stars through the night!! Evan stopped by and imparted a lot about the history of the area to me… we were the only campers and it was so peaceful! I’ll definitely be back and recommend to anyone traveling around the canyons from I-70 and down to Arizona and the Grand Canyon!

Site 2 - Sunset Campground on Ruin Road
Stayed on a full moon, saw the sunset, the moonrise, the moonset and the sunrise. It is an impeccably clean campground with about 10 or so sites. All pretty close if privacy is an issue. Was not for me, stayed on the sunset side.
So close to everything in the area, only regret is I did not stay longer. Side note there are some nice very close surprise features to walk to. I will definitely stay again. Thank you!!!
Site 4 Tent or Van site only
Quite expensive considering that there is no water tap.
But the area is very quiet and aside from the highway.
Restroom facilities are very clean

Site 7 - Sunset Campground on Ruin Road
We were at Sunset Campground Friday, October 13, 2023 and enjoyed the annular eclipse from our campsite the next morning. It was a wonderful experience sharing the eclipse with the other campers who were there for the same reason! Comfortable campground with the basics.
And the port-a-potties are by far the cleanest, best kept, with the best toilet paper I have ever experienced!
