We really loved site #1. The pad is very level, great view. The deck is perfect and provides a great space to eat or visit. The river is refreshing….there is a bit of a walk and no shade, so bring those wagons and canopies. The bathroom was adorable. Park host were great. Will definitely stay again!
We'll definitely be back.
Our stay was fantastic. The RV pads are great with new hookups. They have extra hose and sprayer that came in handy. Hosts, Andrea and Ryan, were fantastic and our kids loved playing with theirs. There are deer that visit all day. The bathroom and shower is really cool, in a little horse trailer. Everything was very clean, great paths and signage.
The walk to the river isn't bad even though the water was very low. They have kayaks/canoes to use when water is high.
You have to pack out your own trash so be mindful of that when packing your supplies.
We very much enjoyed our stay at Boulderdash. The campground is very beautiful and well maintained. It seems they are always doing improvements and updates. It’s a quiet peaceful place with lots of wildlife- deer, birds, we even spotted a fox a couple of times. Location is great too. And of course the river access is amazing!
Clean and welcoming! nice wildlife.
We really enjoyed our stay. The spot for our RV offered easy access to hookups, and the view overlooking the river was very nice. Though the weather didn’t cooperate fully (rainy), we enjoyed bird-watching from our deck. River access is a bit steep, but manageable. Our RV propane malfunctioned, but we were able to use the horse trailer “bath house” for hot showers, which was very clean and convenient. The deer are amazing, and get close to camp. The on-site hostess was friendly and helpful. No complaints - just a comment that the camp is not as secluded or spaced out as I imagined; the RV sites are pretty much adjacent. We like not having neighbors, so luckily our mid-week stay precluded any other nearby campers until our last day. All-in-all, a very nice stay and very welcoming hosts!
Destination is great... rough roads
The views are awesome! Nice little park with good quality cement pad, but the drive into the area is pretty rough - both the roads and the surrounding area. Location is too far to ride bikes into the town (if that is important to you). The camp hosts were SO friendly and accommodating and had firewood bundles available to purcahse. They have a nice paved road down to the river (water levels are very low as of April 2021) and several community seating options. The cabin down by the river looked great!
